WHEN I SAID I WANTED MAKO TO BE A FIGHTER THIS IS NOT WHAT I MEANT. To bad they destroyed her uniform, it was pretty rad.

This was a great episode. Cleaned up most of the rest of the mooks, gave us some stuff on the structure of the school, and most of all gave Mako a bunch of development! I'm actually surprised by how much they're doing with her, since she initially seemed like a joke character.

Last few episodes of this show have been the best yet.

Maybe it's stockholm syndrome, but the music seems like it's getting better.

Gamagoori goes to driving school next?

Kill la Kill Episode 7:

I have been on the fence until now, but I am ready top declare for the moment that Kill la Kill is the show of the season and maybe anime of the year.

Right, so anybody got a phone because I called it. I completely called Mako's heel turn and indeed it had to do with the club system, the uniforms and how they tie into the class system of the academy. I do admit I did not think they would handle that with such aplomb, triteness of the moral aside. Yes, yes, poor people good, rich people bad, see that one before. Indeed, let us commence with the 50,000 fucking references to Fight la Club. While I expect a lot of people to do the first rule routine, this episode actually does draws from the philosophy of Fight Club, albeit in its own idiom. To put in basic terms Ryuko wins by telling Mako she is not her fucking khakis. Also, I think we can now called her Lady Satsuki Xanatos Durden since it turns out she is the one who has been manipulating all of the situations in order to better strengthen the Academy. Also, it looks like we are moving along to a new arc, The Reprisal General Election Arc. I look forward to seeing what that entails.

Crazy predictable episode the whole way through. Still worth it for
Mako in Goku Uniform. Pretty hot design.

Also a sucker for anytime anything does anything interesting with their ED.

Naruto Shippuden 338

Took me a second rewatch, but I managed to understand the 1st half of Itachi's explanation about Izanami. Thankfully, the 2nd half was much easier to comprehend and overall, it was a much better explanation than the one in the manga.

Thought the story Itachi told about the Uchiha's was fairly interesting. Still needs to be said that the Uchiha's are a pretty fucked up clan and Itachi did a favor to everyone when he wiped them out.

Mako is the greatest, all hail Mako, etc. etc.

A very predictable story and yet compelling cause of how silly and ridiculous the whole sequence of events was. Also Mako in an office uniform and glasses :O :D

Satsuki somehow becomes more magnificent with each episode,

Like HOLY FUCK. I haven't really been feeling the show for awhile as it has kinda lost its edge and hasn't really been that interesting. I feel like after episode 5, the show has been kinda meandering. Then the 2nd half of this episode happened. Oh man. We get some great despair faces, cool shots, amazing animation, awesome music, and an epic death scene.

So god damn good.

Like this entire sequence is fucking incredible.

Kill la Kill 7

Rather predictable in how things turned out, but what we got was Mako not being a joke character
and dat Goku design. In some sort of way, I wouldn't mind if she fights, but Mako kinda contributes already.

Looks like we filtered out the fodder crowd at least.

Great ep. Fun plot device. I like how Masayoshi's side of the story continues to be really subdued despite MMM being way overboard.

Between the stapler nunchucks and tape measure grappler, it's nice to see them slowly shift into real super hero abilities.

Also glad they snuck in some last minute Sumi.

Goto is still my favorite character in this, his interactions with Mari in this episode were fun.
Mari shipping Goto/Masayoshi is good times.
It sucks that he hasn't had much time with Masayoshi though, they've cut out one of the best parts of the early episodes by downplaying that.

I like how Masayoshi is slowly building up actual equipment. Why isn't he wearing the other helmet though?
I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry at his new weapons. Why were the thugs giving really detailed descriptions of everything? I know what a stapler is thank you!

This episode was kind of silly, but it was enjoyably silly instead of just bleh. Still don't really like Mari, though.
"Time to blow off steam! I mean Flamenco Girls go!"
SUBTLETY.

Kill la Kill 7
I think this is the best episode so far. The way Mako blinded herself by her desires but then in the end fought against them was pretty amazing

Golden Time 7

The pacing of this episode is too fast but I might only feel this way because I'm caught up to the latest release of the manga but the show is skipping over some bits and pieces of action and putting the dialogue that happens into cutaway scenes or for some scenes they need to extend them out more to leave more of an impact. Like when Banri meets Linda again, he invites her into his house immediately, but some moment of contemplation would've worked better. I didn't feel this way about the previous 6 episodes, but for ep 7 I felt the manga did the scenes better.

KyoAni, what you've just shown us is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever watched. At no point in your rambling, melodramatic episode were you even close to anything that could be considered rational writing. Everyone in this thread is now dumber for having watched it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Samurai Flamenco 6

I enjoyed this episode more than Kill la Kill 7 tbh

In some ways it's just so ridiculous
WEAPONIZED OFFICE TOOLS
but I love the misunderstanding that Goto is in love with Flamenco, just because Mari got shut down by him.

I can see preferring one over the other, but treating SAC as something entirely skippable like the third Tenchi OVA is nonsense and you should be ashamed of yourself for saying it.
Why recommend elderly brain botnet & the revenge of conehead when the two far superior Oshii movies exist?

This is pretty bad. Pacing felt off - it's rare to see this show drag so much - and after the stylish direction of the last two episodes, it was jarring to see the show be so pedestrian.

Not that I didn't enjoy
Mako turning into Jotaro
, but this is the worst episode thus far.

Kill la Kill - 7

Easily the best episode so far. It was very predictable and unsubtle thematically (but it's Kill la Kill, the least subtle series this season; what do you expect?), but it was still extremely enjoyable.

Mako in a ridiculously exaggerated banchou uniform only made things that much better.

Also,
nice plan, Satsuki.

Never thought I'd see Saber act so moe, it's pretty funny. But reading such happy go lucky adventures kind of makes me more depressed due to the ending.

I know that there was that short anime series based off all the Type Moon series together in a random comedy, but that was trying too hard to be funny for me to laugh at. Besides the first skit where the Holy Grail war was a game show.

Japan's take on King Arthur, ladies and gentlemen.

a masterful yake to be sure. They are really good at this.

Depends on where you stand in terms of harem

If you go by sheer numbers
( number of female attracted to you ), even if some don't act or if the main character is unaware , then the undisputed champion is touma from index
+8000k clones of railgun , raiilgun , index, kanzaki, 2 girls from the amakusa, several british mages, the class rep ...and the list goes on when do i stop ?

Now if you go by number of wives ( people engaged to the hero in the end, the hero is aware of them and so on ) then the line if more blurry , but there are still some contenders.

-Seina ( tenchi muyo gxp ) with 8 wives + 1 pet ( yes the pet counts )
-kenchi ( tales of geminar ) with 7 wives and god know how many girls still lusting after him regardless
-Issei ( high school dxd ) with ( wait let me count ) 1 legal wife "rias", and 6 concubines " asia , akeno , xenovia, koneko , irina , ravel " but you have to also add those "intrested" and then the number double. And i'm counting only the females here .. because other wise ....
-saito ( zero no tsukaima ) 1 legal wife + like the entire cast of free characters that aren't ennemies after him ( except 3 ). i can count at least 6+

I really don't know how you can do better than those above
Date a live does have a intresting contestant , but no solid ranking in term of love relation ship can be done as of now
Negima started with +31 possibilities but in the end the author choose only a couple

Date a Live was a hell of a harem too but not as insufferable. Also dont forget Goro and the twelve angel girls who were formerly his pets (no I didnt make that up).

Kill la Kill - 7

Best episode so far, Mako is awesome as always, etc. Gurren Lagann spoilers below.

Oh man, I'm loving the build-up this show is giving for Satsuki. Now we're going into some kind of election for being a general or something? So it seems that the show may take a similar path as to Gurren Lagann and have Ryuko take over the academy or something. Meh, I just want to see Ryuko and Satsuki in an epic team-up combination. The moment that happens, I don't know what the show could do to get better.

Yeah, the laugh I remember getting out of Carnival Phantasm was Gilgamesh trolling Caster in Episode 1. "Rule breaker!" "Your things are my things!"

What I watched of the rest wasn't great.

Berserker's Big Day was the best segment of CP by several million million miles.

Golden Time 7

Banri seriously if you're trying to hide your porn from your girlfriend don't leave it all on a giant conspicuous box in the middle of your room that almost begs for her to open it. Or hell, at least tape it closed or something.

Koko: "Let's have it happen naturally!... in Paris!"
Koko is a lunatic and yet this isn't a bad thing.

Loved the idea of her parents being like "Wait, you want to date my daughter. Oh god I'm so sorry I hope she doesn't ruin your life."

I'm more in team klk ep7 was under my expectations, but mako
's goku uniform was lots of fun
, and next ep preview seems promising

Pokemon XY 6

Been a long time (I'm thinking Yellow) since I've seen a fat Pikachu.

Laughed when he and Fletchling went away when Serena asked Ash the question.

Not surprisingly, he doesn't remember her. But they sure are laying out that teasing pretty thick.

Rematch was nice. Viola sure does love making those unique poses.

Kill la Kill 7 aka First World Problems: The Episode
I would say this episode was written by a rich person by I know everyone involved is dirt poor.

This was definitely one of the better episodes. Really loved a lot of aspects of it.

Oh and Mako's uniform was the best out of everybody's we've seen so far. So stylish.

Well I'm excited for this. I'm enjoying Soul Eater Not! a fair bit..

Well its better than Soul Taker.

Nice to see more strides in CG animation taking place in the Japanese Animation Industry. Looking good!

I agree in this case. It can only get better from here.
Perhaps competent CG will start to show up more in anime use.

The second installment of that "Let's Learn About The World of Tokyo Ravens with Kon" video series is up:

Hmm...not sure what to make of this episode. I very much enjoyed it. It did a lot to further develop Ryuko's and Mako's relationship and establish Satsuki's views of people as pigs. But for a while there I was expecting Imaishi to take a major turn with
Mako by giving her that Goku uniform, making her a fighter from then on and maybe even remain Ryuko's opponent.
Not sure how they would have pulled that off, but this is the director of TTGL; if anybody could have done something like that and made it work, it's him.
So it was a tad disappointing to see things return to status quo like that, though it does mean more Mako antics, which I guess is good.

But with this being Imaishi and the post-ED of this episode, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume for now that he didn't do that because he has something way, way more awesome up his sleeve.

I'm willing to bet quite a bit that
this won't be the last time we see Mako in a Goku uniform

The facial expressions in KLK are amazing.

Is she your favorite? She's the blue hair one right? Yeah, she's cute :D
Dat Tomoko though <3

I dont really have a favorite but Tomoko and Nymph are on the short list.

Make up your mind animegaf

It's amusing to see those posts next to each other. You certainly won't find a hive mind here!

As someone who doesn't watch the show, I will say it's easier for me to believe dresden's side, since Tachikawa's style of directing seems too serious to easily fit inside a wacky Imaishi show.
