Stop it, Mika is beautiful just the way she is.

She is boring , everyone agrees , the show , the characters, the viewers, the meta , the directors & writters.
Even my cat( IRL) agrees.

If i had a dog , he would reach the same conclusion.

Ore Twintails ni Narimasu - 08

Excellent episode , one cannot buy a
porno mag if you'renot 18+ yeras old , that's the rule
, surprised the show kept this open as a loophole for this character.
The show itself was at the top of his game , again with lines like " twintails are my litterature" , " i couldn't protect what matterred" , " pictures books are easier to read "
Ore%20Twintail%20ni%20Narimasu%20-%2008.jpg
I'll even pass on them reusing the EXACT SAME FRAMMES from episode 1 to save money..it's obvious this episode had troubles making the cut considering some scenes

" i cannot allow that remark to remain unchallenged !"
Ah , are all the "mothers" characters in this show so over the top and great ?

So now the plots moves a lot when everyone realise that their disguises are meaningless ...can't wait for next week .
Damn i should start reading the books.

Yuki Yuna Is a Hero - 8

Yep. Yeeeeeeeeeep.

So the more you use Mankai as a hero, you lose a function of your body permanently, just as everyone thought.

But that's not all! In exchange for that, you get immortality!

Yeah so if you keep using Mankai over and over, you'll end up forced to live forever unable to do anything for the rest of your life.

It's incredible how this essentially makes it impossible for any of them to die, as we originally thought that was the worst that could happen in this show. So instead they end up destined to be both immortal and broken at the same time with no chance of freedom from it.

So it looks like there may be a bit of infighting with the group should Yuna and Togo decide to tell the others about this. I'm really surprised how well they handled this twist and subverted some of our expectations with it. I wonder how this is all going to end up in this show now.

Carnage (Animator Expo)

I think this is the first one where I think I need subs. Although it is very short, so maybe not.
Visual style was good, liked the realistic animation style. Pretty strikingly violent too.

Shirobako Episode 8:

Kind of an quiet episode this week as it is mostly ruminating on the nature of dreams, ambition and motivation and what them mean to each individual. It was not the best thing to watch while being on the verge of a food coma.

There are subs. Switch the page to EN and tick "English Subtitles" in the options below the video

Akame ga Kill 21 - So I guess its right off the rails now. They have gone beyond where my reading had gone at least.

Kind of wonder where how they will end this animated version. Everyone dead except Tatsumi...with him drinking himself to death in a bar?

Bummed about the noitaminA news. Less shows and the schedule looks like more stuff away from their roots and more LCD stuff.

Or maybe I'm just annoyed they haven't announced more Silver Spoon or Moyashimon.

That was one patient cat. LOL at how even P.A. Works struggles with animating cats.

Not sure whos still the best girl in this show, Zuka or Ema. I also dont remember Rii chan as part of the anime club for some reason. Just too many girls to keep up with.

Ok, Ema is pretty adorable.

So they have an entire army and a castle that turns into a fortress, but never thought to use it against the pirates. Episode was beyond corny as fuck. I still thought it was okay though. I was waiting for the elemental episode, and I guess I got that. So they'll go back to being background characters now, I presume!

Something about the directing this episode was...off. Like it seemed there was a two minute stretch of cutting from the disco ball, to Kanye and the rest nodding their heads, and back to dancing.

So I kinda experienced a double standard I had watchingB Gata H Kei today.
So when it comes to anime a guy being perverted, only thinking about sex with as many women as possible 24/7 seems okay.
Even some super sexual flirty women in anime seem alright.

But for some reason the MC (a highschool girl) with her only mission of sleeping with 100 guys during highschool as well having sex on her brain 24/7 really felt weird.

The elemental characters didn't even exist in the LN until several novels after the one covered by this adaptation. If that's what you're waiting for, bail out now.

The Legend of Korra: Book 4, Episode 9

I find very telling that even though that the Nations of the World have just learned the Kuvira is building a very powerful super-weapon that could threaten to world and they still can't justify an invasion because Kuvira hasn't really hasn't caused any international ruckus. More to the point, Korra being dismayed that Prince Wu showing up just underscores how fucking justified Kuvira was in taking power. He is a fopish idiot who is ill respected among the leadership and the populace and putting him on the throne will end the Earth Kingdom. Fucking hell, I could write a very large book about all this and I'll be honest, I need some over the top villainy at this point because I am tired of terms like "The Worst Dictator The Earth Kingdom Has Ever Seen" WHEN YOU HAVE DONE NOTHING TO BACK THAT CLAIM UP, YOU STUPID FUCKING SHOW. RAAAAAGGGGGAAAHHHH!

Right, putting that aside, this was a pretty good episode as it got the plot flowing again and everybody is doing shit once more. I do like the fact that Bolin and Opal have some serious issues to work out, but it is not completely sunk, is actually some good writing there in reflecting the current situation. Though on that note Opal, your family, at least your mother, belongs in jail for her crimes. I will say that the Spirit Vine conundrum is about the first time the claim of Kuvira tearing the world out of balance actually has some merit. I do admit I was not expecting Vaheer to show up in this episode and I would complain about Korra getting healed to fast, but no, I am done with simpering and whining Korra.

I am a saddened to see the Verrick and Bolin dynmic dissolved, but pairing him up with Asami is actually a smart move and I am all for giving the both of them up since I desire to see both get more screen time, if Asami doesn't kill Verrick first. Finally, what does Mako even do anymore? He clearly isn't a romantic interest, they had plenty of opportunity to do ship teasing this episode but nothing, shit even his idea of emotional support was to stand around and literally do nothing. Fucking hell, Korra just left him behind before confronting Vaheer. Seriously, you could replace him with a handsome statue and you would get about as much worth out of things.Yea, so clearly a shit ton of stuff happened and we still have that Toph showdown to look forward to.

Ichigo Mashimaro
So I just finished watching Ichigo Mashimaro. I found Mashimaro to be absolutely adorable and extremely funny, having almost fallen out of my chair in laughter almost every episode. I'm a huge fan of random humor, and Miu brought that in droves every episode. I loved how the characters played off of each others roles within the group because it made the comedy just work since everyone played their part to get to the punchline.

Anyhow, since I enjoyed the show, I'm now looking for other shows like it..I've read that I should look into YuruYuri, Working!! or Minami-ke, but how are these shows? Are they good for comedy, or are they just standard slice of life with some elements of comedy thrown in here or there? Because right now I really just want to see a bunch of shows where it puts comedy first to everything else... mix it up a bit from what I usually watch.

YuruYuri and Working!! are definitely what you're after. Minami-ke is slightly more slice of life, but still quite amusing.

You might also like Hanamaru Kindergarten and Mitsudomoe.

Carnage

I love this whole look: the scratchy effects on the screen that make it look dated as a throwback to classic cinema. Loved how they did it in Grindhouse as well. Also love the whole setting of a woman getting revenge against her attackers in a western setting. This was very much a love letter to Tarantino. I wish this was a full series and not just a short.

Higurashi no Naku Outbreak
This was probably the most disappointing thing I have ever seen.
Higurashi is my favorite anime of all time and I was willing to take anything else they could put out(including the goofy OVAs that were completely different to the series).
It wasn't technically bad but it was so incredibly "meh" despite going back to the seriousness of the main series.

Katanagatari 1

Great start so far. I hope the rest is just as good! That finishing move was fantastic. A lot of cutting between static heads, but the dialogue is interesting enough and it saves animation where it actually counts, so it's cool.

Katanagatari is fucking awesome.

Also, NisiOisiN (which I like). Expect a lot of dialogue true to his style and a lot of FUCK YEAH moments. This show has one of my favorite endings, too.

Yowamushi Pedal - Latest episode of Grande Road

Man, this truly great year for sport anime.. this show maybe made me shake up the top list for my AOTY. What a great show.. Show had everything, plenty likeable character, lively interaction and even fucking awesome villain, its such a exciting ride especially when its entering the tournament.. full of emotion, and I even cried at one episode with backstory from one character, its really well done. Maybe the source material is just that good, but Keiko Yoshida involvement made me think she probably one of the reason the tight and smooth pacing that this show had.

Its definitely better show than Haikyuu!! for me, and Haikyuu is pretty damn good and ranked high in my AOTY rank, and I gonna had trrouble deciding which of this or Ping Pong that I liked better, Ping Pong is definitely more sophisticated as show and also moved me immensely but Yowamushi Pedal is entertain me greatly too! Its had all of what I asked from entertainment piece and also made me emotionally engaged despite the simple premise of the show.

Sport animu is truly the best.

Amagi Brilliant Park 09

That is a very extreme way of getting those girls to work together and I'm not sure it was completely planned like that either. But oh well I'm not complaining, its an episode of my favorite characters in the show so I'm pretty happy with it.

Shigatsu Kimi wa Uso - 08

This like poor imitation of Yowamushi Pedal that I watched, instead the competitive feeling that felt earnest and ralatable from its dialogue we got dialogue that manipulative and unnatural backstory.

The music is good tho.. so simply put Grande Road is AOTS.

Your Lie in April 8

These two rivals are already more interesting than any of the characters in the main cast.

This is the recent sport anime I haven't watched. It looks like I need to remedy that.

Animator Expo #4 - Carnage

Really attractive art style, and the direction works well even without much animation. Fantastic music too. The mood is really nice and pretty unique for anime. It's a Japanese-style revenge western concept which has been done before, but not a lot. Anyway, as a short, the difference between this and the previous Animator Expo ones is that this is clearly more of a concept prologue than a self-contained complete story. It introduces the protagonist and antagonist, the setting, the motivation, and gives a taste of what a larger story could be like. It'll be cool if someone picked it up and made a full length movie or a series with it. I really like how the they show one-handed reloading and gun maintenance too.

I though I'm not interested in Bike cycling and the CG gonna turn me off, turn out the show had the best CG implementation that I seen since Girls und Panzer. quickly captivating me.

Now this is what I was hoping more of the show would be like. More focus on the Elementario group (or on the girls in general), and a look into the park as much as the running of it. So many of the rides have only been shown during the next episode preview, so seeing a closer look at the "training center" in the castle was a nice change of pace, a way to get to know the girls a little better. I also realized just how much Sylphy reminds me of SoraOto's Astrea.
