As an Accel World fanboy crying at the turn of events here :( Oh well, will buy both when they come here. At least, I hope, it was a success for Sunrise and as well as with Horizon, hope we get s2s.

Does that put SAO, Horizon I and II, Kuroko's Basketball, and Fate/Zero(?) as the top selling anime this year?

Everything is better with tea!

This is an amazing episode. It's really enjoyable to watch an event which the previous episodes have all been building up towards. It definitely didn't disappoint either. It was exciting, creative, and had a very solid conclusion. The action, the drama, the exhilaration, oooooh my. So good. Mizushima (Blood-C) once again shows that he is a far superior director to Mizushima (Gundam 00) these days. :D

Isn't Nisemonogatari still the best selling anime for the year?

Yup, don't forget Nisemonogatari. This year have the fewest 10k+ seller compared to last few year, only 5 so far. 2011 have 15 or something like that.
Didn't realize Horizon was that popular. Guess its to be expected. Should get around to watching S2 at some point. Need more yuri mages in my life and some more of that soundtrack.

e: Huh weird meant to link this one. Well either way its all good. Great OST. S1 was a guilty pleasure of mine. OST has honestly the most range for anything I've ever listened to, its pretty unique and pretty awesome. Show didn't live up to its soundtrack I guess.

I like S2 OST even more. Horizon just so much fun, crazy war and accompanied with great animation and OST.

Surely they can't keep this inferiority complex nonsense going for much longer, because it's starting to really wear thin after each passing episode. That being said, I have no idea where they're going with this.

Those numbers probably guarantee an Accel World season 2, though.

Yeah thats a neat track. I just love the range of stuff on the S1 OST.

Honestly the show is worth watching on the OST and how they use it alone. Nearly every track is quality and it hits a huge spectrum across the board. Hopefully they kept that going in S2. I really can't think of any other show I've watched that spreads out this much and does it so well.

As a show Horizon is a bit of a mess. Entertaining but completely nonsensical and utterly confusing, an overall disservice to the components that actually work within the show. Still was worth my time overall though. That said not in a rush to watch S2. I'm guessing theres a S3 in the works just looking at the sales numbers <_<

Probably my two more listened to soundtrakcs this year, ah as well as the Accel World (3) ones. For Horizon, I really like all the various musics and the themes for battle. Hopefully the composer does attempt more anime, I think they also did the Medaka Box one, maybe, which also sounds alright.

still fighting with each other. You would think that after 4 episodes they would learn that friendship and teamwork creates harmony within their hearts, which leads to super awesome yuri beam finishers that save the day.
Maybe I was right during my initial impression and can ship the two under the #lovehate ship?
I haven't even watched the show, but... lol

DVD data cutoff is 681.

This was a hell week with a TON of stuff released, so we're definitely going to want to see the full list on Thursday.

So I wonder if the Kokoro boycott is working out... but otherwise, FUCK JAPAN(ese nerds). It was expected, but fuck.

Honestly, though. What the fuck had a chance to beat it? Or even deserved to? Horizon? Yeah, right. Breast Luv? Rinne no Yuri? The fucking chocolate show? Sword Art Online was the only decent thing we had all last season.

Nothing could've beat it.

But:

10,460 *6 Tari Tari [DVD+BD]: 2012/09/05
*8,461 *2 Yuru Yuri♪♪ [DVD+BD]: 2012/09/19

All decent to great shows that I like more than SAO. You must have a very limited taste if you think SAO was "the only decent thing" last season.

They never, EVER stop fighting. That's their main gimmick. 20 episodes later, they are still getting angry over the silliest shit.

While I agree that Summer was a turd of a month, it still had Natsyuki Rendevous, Jinrui wa Sutai Shimashita, Moyashimon Returns, Kokoro Connect and Binbougami ga! which were at least "decent".

SAO is perfect example of great PR, Kokoro Connect was the otherwise lol.. IIRC The pre-order going smoothly before that accident.

I'd say the second season is better than the first one, it's still a convoluted mess (but a fun and imaginative one) but it has a lot more battles and the new characters are nice.

Took me a few episodes to get used to because all I heard was Togusa(GITS) at first.

I can understand that, what with there such a small pool of prominent VA's for dubs. It's the same with games. No matter how good you are, I will get tired of you if you appear in absolutely eveything.

I don't place the blame entirely at their feet. I just sometimes wish that they would cast a wider net with this sort of stuff.
