:D!!!!!!!!! I'm still loyal to the OTP of HibikixKanade though.
Trying to at least.

New finishing move! Reminds me of Phoenix's super from MvC3. #FGC

No, Ilya looks like a toddler.
Saber looks like one of the adults in Hidamari or Madoka.

those kinds of proportions are definitely pre teen
its just her style, and it wouldnt work for a realistic setting imo
it worked for madoka because that show had all kinds of different styles

I wasnt being overly serious about that.
Its just a cute tribute to Fate Zero.
I know it wouldn't work.

If you've been dying to see Mass Effect: Paragon Lost on the cinema screen and weren't able to make it to New York Comic-Con, Funimation's got your back: should you be able to make it to one of the following six cinemas on November 29, you'll get the chance to see it for this special one-night-only screening. If you're one of the first twenty people at your movie theater you'll even get a free t-shirt!
Anthology Film Archives (New York, NY)
4-Star Theatre (San Francisco, CA)
Metro Cinema at the Garneau (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada)
Texas Theatre (Dallas, TX)
Geeksboro Coffeehouse Cinema (Greensboro, NC)

You don't have to stay for the movie to get the shirt, right?

Type moon art works for the shows that its in.
Another style wouldn't look right.

Type moon art style irks me because they do super serious shows with characters that look like they should be in a romantic comedy anime and it feels inconsistent.
Higurashi is still the worst offender of having style synergy shortcomings

I can't believe I'm asking this question seriously but - were hair-clips part of the "otaku database" pre-Serial Experiments Lain or was that the originator?

So glad to see this show continue its upward trend after the sort of nose dive that was ep.2. I really love the episodes more mystery/noir town. We're finally getting some multi episode arcs, which this show desperately needed. Interested to see if this new group of big bads sticks around for any length of time. Loved the look of the virtual world and how the episode dealt with anonymity. Really, it was pretty fantastic overall. Felt very GitS:SAC, which is what I have wanted all along from this show.

The T-Shirt does sound appealing...

Wasn't Watanabe the actual director of Macross Plus while Kawamori more of an overall supervisor?

That's pretty obvious given that Macross Plus is coherent, stylish, and skillfully edited, instead of being a random, stumbling mess filled with technobabble, characters who describe their own traits, and schizophrenic pacing.

Those avatar designs are pretty ugly for a future world, except for a couple anyway. A pretty stock way to present social media interaction in the future, but at least it was an interesting episode with quite a bit of variety in the art.

I would say its the best episode of the show thus far, we've entered what appears to be a nice two part arc, that is supported by a fairly compelling case with the murders and such. Looking forward to next week.

Cure Muse got some attention this episode.
I wish she would just say something already instead of having her fairy tone act as rep for her. :(

More importantly,
reveal her identity already!

The fight was cool, too bad the hot woman
interrupted it.
The last scene confused me. The thing about the computer is something I was expecting
no PDA and always using that exit did imply it
but the girl answering like that? Puzzling.

Cure Beat holding down the fort while Hibiki and Kanade participate in their respective competitions.

Nice to see Hibiki's dad
not be an asshole when it came time to praising her musical talents
.

I am watching this animu called Hagure Yuusha no Estetica and it's bad but damn if the MC isn't such a troll.

Gonna stick with it just for his master trolling.
You should have avoided it, when its in magic stuff is good, but otherwise it left me so disappointed and kind of offended because of the stuff they did, and it should have been double the length.

Oh well the opening theme was by Faylan so that made it a must watch and the ending theme is catchy.

So who are yall favorite character designers anyway?

I'm not really familiar with a lot of names outside of the more well-known artists but I can name some recent-ish shows where I liked the character designs:

- tsuritama
- Hyouka (even the background characters could pass for main characters in an anime)
- Penguindrum
- I wanna say Bakemonogatari but if I do I'd probably have to include Nisemonogatari by extension which means I'd have to include this thing. So I'm conflicted.
- Casshern Sins
- Durarara!! had some nice designs too, imo.
- And yeah I won't lie I'm a bit partial to Madoka Magica's character designs.

There's also the usual shows like Cowboy Bebop and Evangelion among others.

If we're extending this to gaming then by far my favorite designer is Kazuma Kaneko (though mainly for his demon designs but he does some really classy character designs too).
