Were there troubles at the production studio, or was the episode outsourced in some way? I'm not familiar with the production of this show, or anime in general really, but I was enjoying it up until now. As far as I'm aware, anime episodes are generally worked on teams. Instead of just the director being switched around, a lot of people are switched around.
