Maturity, bitches.
I feel like the amount of SAO posts every saturday decreases every week. This makes me sad....

I post in the OT, what more do you want? Do you want me to list out more and more obnoxious nitpicks that you can correct? The show it just competent at the moment so there's nothing much to say but It's SAO but with more tits.

But since we're on the subject of SAO, I'll ask one question. What are the chances that the race leaders are actually men in women's clothing? Sword Art Offline 1 did say that online stereotypes haven't progressed in the future and the majority of players are male. These two leaders were overly flirtatious, almost taking advantage of the fact he was male and they were allegedly female. It' surprising that an apparent long term MMO player like Kirito would fall for the oldest trick in the book.

Oh and this week's lip lick:

Tenchi Universe 1-4

Good start to the show. It's funny how they found every excuse to keep the girls there. Seems so far Ryoko love interest for Tenchi is only to piss off Ayeka. Favorite moment for me so far in the show is
when Ryoko pretended that Tenchi was the father for the baby and Tenchi's father went into full happy mode and was relieved Tenchi was a man now.

I'm willing to bet that if they are flirting with Kirito, they are women in real life. If they were men, as soon as they flirted with Kirito, they transformed to women in real life.

I can feel the awesome smashing my face in.
Just like the fist of a dear imouto.
The segway into the ending theme was masterful.
In fact, if this is licensed, the ending theme MUST be preserved. None of that cheap Speed Grapher substitution bullshit. ROUNDABOUT OR GET THE FUCK OUT.

GET OUT OF MY HEAD CHARLES!

Man this show really doesn't have fanservice despite being a all girl school setting with girls getting drenched with water. That Bikini girl washing tank doesn't count.

Finally some action going on near end.

Hmmm interesting impressions. It feels like it's been a while since I've seen The Place Promised in Our Early Days. I don't remember the characters or the dialog being particularly interesting, but I do remember enjoying it. A lot of the plot felt pretty tiresome, but I did enjoy the build up to the plane launching, and the ride to the tower. I felt that was really the height of the show, and there were a couple of scenes there that made it worth watching to me.

On that note, I've been meaning to watch Children who Chase Lost Voices from Below, worth watching, or not really worth it?

Sorry for the incredibly late reply. You might not even catch this post, but I thought i'd respond anyway.

The problem I had with this film is that at no point did I ever feel any interest for the characters or the story. It was very cliché'd and betrayed my expectations (somewhat high) that I had going for it. Sure, a lot of the individual scenes were great for their technical aspects, but beyond that I felt nothing.

Children who Chase Lost Voices from Below is so-so. I'd watch it if just for the visuals.

Code:Breaker - Episode 7

Okay, so Sakura^2 is.... the daughter of the most badass Yakuza boss in Japan? I presume he has retired from crime or something, judging from what he said, otherwise there's no way her personality makes a lick of sense. Aside from that, the Code:Breakers actually have Lost forms? They don't just go unconscious like Ogami? They turn into LITTLE KIDS and DOGS? Wow.

Oh, there's an even MORE ridiculous reason why Sakura's personality is like that. As for the
lost forms
, they also get more ridiculous.

Of course the anime won't make it that far on either account.

One of the girls go full SDBurton for the new girl. The new girl is the 12 yr old fiance and rival of the sister.
Seems like the rest of the house accepts that a 12 yr old girl and the brother relationship. In the end the sister and fiance seem to join forces.

Next episode seems to be the beach episode.

Haru has an atrocious cock.
Your argument is invalid.

Still loving the character dynamics in this show. The two main leads quarrel and mesh so well together. Its very similar in feel to Kare Kano in a way with the ongoing academic feud between the two but the addition of the other girls and Shizuku's back and forth feelings make this a really fun clusterfuck that will have to be sorted eventually (and I have faith that it will).
Kana Hanazawa as Oshima is such a treat. My god what a cute girl.

In a word, boring. Almost every aspect of this episode was lackluster in my opinion. I was willing to give it some time to reestablish the narrative
now that two years has passed since the last episode
, but the execution was just poor. The animation was blaze, the shots were uninteresting, and the dialogue was trite.

More importantly, one of, if not, the most important plot elements,
that the gang did not get away with restoring their powers but have been under surveillance,
was simply stated in a throw away line! I just do not understand the pacing in this series. They take a lot of time for secondary concerns (who's in love with whom and why), but they spend almost no time on primary concerns
e.g. how did Shun find out about that they were still being watched
.

Just watched up to the point where they first talk about the
Alfheim game
. Just really need to know if the
creep that is supposed to "marry" asuna illegally ever does anything to her sexually.

I really feel like the show is holding something very important back from the audience.
Havent seen episode 08 yet, but its giving me a vibe that there is some kind of major conspiracy going in behind the scenes and the reveal of what it is could be close.
Then again Im probably way off and it will just continue to meander. Im enjoying it though.

I really hope that you are right about there being a big conspiracy because conspiracies are interesting! The show has realized so many thing so well that I will likely see it through to the end no matter how bad things get. I just wish it would be more entertaining.

I keep seeing this show. They talk a lot about panties, but I never see them. Are there panty shots in this show? Someone post the panty shots. I need an anime with really really good pantsu in it. Like detailed pantsu where the artists really took their time and care (IE panty shot from Bakemonogatari ep 1 etc..)

Thanks for the reply. Thread moves so fast, but I usually try to read at least the past few pages before I start responding to anything. I know what it's like. I'll probably check out Lost Voices only because I'm such an art whore. I love backgrounds and clouds man. Even when I go outside, sometimes I freak out over a sweet cloud in the sky. I usually embarrass my wife in public when I'm all like "look at that sweet fucking cloud man! There's like purple on the edge and the light is coming through the middle TOO!? SHIIIIEEeoualdskja"

You'll love it then. There's plenty of excellent art and drool-worthy clouds :)

Code:Breaker - 07

The classic way to end the first half of the show - by demonstrating the antagonists strength and giving a new twist to the story. It's still fun as hell and I enjoy it quite a bit.
The Yakuza stuff and the lost forms were were some funny shit.

Magi - Episode 7

This is a lazy review for a lazy episode. It was barely okay. There wasn't anything really "wrong" with the adaptation, because it only covered like... 3 chapters, but it also felt pretty devoid of personality. I can't really pin down what the laziest thing about the episode is, but it's probably a toss up between the totally mundane direction and the really poor casting and voice direction. This episode has some of the biggest male names but somehow it didn't make me feel a thing other than "this is the most miscast Fukuyama role I've ever seen and heard"... which isn't a good thing. :/

CØDE:BREAKER 07

This episode was low on the OGAMIs but was still stupidly fun. I will say the supporting cast is much more fun than the main characters can ever hope to be, so good for them in gaining some spotlight.

I'm too checked out of the story to even rage over
the whole yakuza part and what it means for the worthless main character's character.

I was so worried about this when I saw the cast list. I was hoping it would somehow turn out great, but it's a shame to hear that it didn't.

Lemme get this straight. Did Usopp
create a new move by fusing a plant with an impact dial? Because if so I'm going to lose my shit as I was praying he'd go back to using those.

It just doesn't work. I don't know why they thought it would. I don't know why they didn't think about it more. I don't get a lot of things about the decisions behind the production of the show. It doesn't take a genius to look at Cassim's character and go "well, Fukuyama is probably not the right voice for this character". It doesn't even seem like that gave him much direction to do something different with his voice to give the character some unique aural personality not found in the manga either. It's just a total mismatch between the audio and the video. Just like... various things in this show. :(

Related to the Cream Lemon series is the Project A-Ko series, which was originally to be the third installment of Cream Lemon but changed while in production to be a mainstream title. The only remaining indication is the bath scene with B-ko.
Suddenly it alll makes sense.

Yes.

Looked so bad on the anime... there's almost no animation or impact on this attack... yet on the manga, it looks really cool. Oh well... Toei.

So I've just finished Evangelion 2.22, and I'm not at all sure now why people laughed at me when I said I remembered Shinji being better in ReBuild than in the show. I was right on that. At the end of 2.22, Shinji actually has a spine and does things because he wants to, and I don't have to hear either him or Rei go "I am me." For 30 minutes straight.

To be honest, I was really ready to say I did not like Mari at all as of this film, because she comes off as Asuka minus the character development, mostly just there to do what Asuka would otherwise do without having all the trauma. However, her little speech to kick Shinji out of his pity-me loop at the end merits some respect, even if she is otherwise still pretty annoying to me.

She's still leaps and bounds ahead of Kaworu.

And while I'm not a fan of Shinji/Rei, I have to say this: Rei's new voice acting, while initially jarring, is actually pretty nice because it reflects the fact that this Rei is more human than the initial Rei. And I honestly found her attempts at humanity endearing, if only because I am a sucker for the defrosting ice queen trope in all its many forms.

As to speculation:
I'm of the opinion that the entire thing is one giant stable time-loop. In other words, the Second Impact that young Misato 1 witnessed was actually the same event as the one taking place during End of Evangelion. Or rather, at the time that End of Evangelion was happening, a young Misato 2 was witnessing what she would believe to be second impact. As evidence, I point to the fact that while the being of light Misato 1 witnessed looked like Unit 01, the beings shown in Misato 2's version of events looked like the Rei Ayanami clones implementing Instrumentality in EoE. Also, the sea in the show was blue, but in EoE it turns red/orange, like it is in ReBuild, and no 2nd Impact rings are shown on the world in EoE, but the ones in ReBuild resemble the ones from EoE completely.

This is literally as crazy as the Zelda Time Line at this point.

It's funny you mention Bakemonogatari since it's the same author, but with a porn artist.

Pretty much any artist starts with porn. Though being well known for it is another thing.
Truth be told, that's the one reason I decided to watch Medaka Box in the first place.
