I was just thinking, is anyone else surprised that they haven't done a complete HD restore of Eva for Blu-Ray yet? Given the popularity of the films, it seems like leaving money on the table. Maybe when 4.0 comes out. If they could do a restore as nice as the Yu Yu Hakusho one, that show could look pretty great.

After Mr. Anno lamented the excessive amount of time they spent working on RENEWAL OF EVANGELION (if I remember correctly, they mentioned more time on it than on the series itself!), and the deficient material left to work on... I'm not sure when they'll affront something like that again.

Because it's a terrible anime. There were other stupid crap in it, but it's been so long since I've seen it that I don't remember much besides not liking it. My brain probably deleted all memories of that show except for the awesome motorcycle fight scene in the beginning I thought that was creative, then they fucked it up.

Thank you for the link! I looked into booking for this a month or so ago and all the tickets had sold out, so it's really encouraging to see that they're looking to give more performances. I may consider funding the Kickstarter, although £50 is quite steep to be guaranteed a ticket for what is essentially a small fringe show.

I do have some small creative concerns about the project, mostly because the creative team are so young and really only just out of university, but it's such a wonderful idea that I do want to see it succeed.
