They're so similar that it'd be masturbation.

Besides, all the saddorks have already shipped March and Beauty. :p

See, now you're trying irritate me. :p

Can someone seriously provide screenshots from the episodes where this flag went off? I for the life of me cannot remember a single scene where these two had a moment that would warrant a ship.

...What's that between their mouths?

Pocky.

They're childhood friends. March is a tomboy. You do the math. :p

Gunbuster 1 - 3

Episode One. Opening so good. So many delicious porn shots of Noriko's fit body.

1259080-Z3MM6M6.png

Episode Two. WOW that bath scene! I wasn't ready. Noriko is young and nubile (nsfw!), a stark and refreshing contrast from the grandmothers of the bath house (nsfw). Get out of the way, you're covering Neil Armstrong!

Episode Three. Not only does this show have incredible hand drawn animation, it's also really bringing the space porn! This is so good! We've had discussions on the effects of relativity and time dilation, stars aging, the size of the universe, and space warping. They've even talked about clearing parsecs to create gravitational warps for travel. On top of that Noriko waxes poetically on the romanticism of the cosmos!

Can't wait for the next three episodes!

Me and a friend. I'll be a little sad if I'm the only animegaffer there, but I figure I'm the only Ohioan here (I wouldn't wish it on anyone else.)

Now, the big question: to cosplay or not to cosplay.

Whoa, don't fuck with Wiley. This was definitely head and shoulders above the last episode overall. There was some pretty nice camerawork in the action scenes which you don't really see as often as you should in this series.

Space Brothers 30:
About time that rocket got in the air
.

First half of the episode was kind of slow, but the second half definitely picked up steam. The old man character seemed like a pretty cool guy, and him and Mutta had some great back and forth moments. There was a lot of buildup throughout the episode, but it managed to have the release still handled in an interesting way, rather than being too over the top.

How so? there's nothing "weird" about #8 if you take in account some of the reveals in episode 4.

It's certainly a strange episode, but it's not unexpected, because it absolutely does build off the previous setup (mostly from Episode 4) that lead up to it. But it's also a somewhat jarring experience (deliberately so) because of the way the episode is directed.

I assumed he was referring to the
lesbian/gay sequences of the episode
there is nothing weird about that considering how it was foreshadowed in episode 4! definitely agree with you on the direction though.

This is the perfect visual representation of my emotional state after watching an episode of Akibaranger.

This show was so much fun!! I found out about the show when people here were posting impressions of it back in the spring and I thought about watching it but ultimately didn't. SDBurton posted a gif of AkibaBlue in reaction to the trailer for the Senran Kagura anime and that reminded me of the show.

I'm the complete opposite of the intended demographic apparently as I've never really seen a sentai show except for maybe the odd little clip and it was really seeing the anime tie in which got me interested originally. It's kind of funny seeing that show within a show and they've got pretty much a full opening for Aoi complete with character profiles for the characters which don't even really appear and all kinds of merchandise and even doujins! I actually wouldn't mind seeing a full Z-Cune Aoi anime now...

Since I had never really seen these shows, as I just got started watching Kamen Rider Wizard as I had found out about as it was just starting. A sentai show airs right next to it in the same hour time block called "Super Hero Time"(Go-Busters I'm pretty sure it's called) but I haven't been watching it as it's so far along and I'll maybe wait until about February or so when it looks like the next sentai show starts and watch that one from the beginning. Anyway, I think that's why I liked Blue the best as she was a good fighter and somewhat interested but didn't really know how everything worked because she was new. Akagi or AkibaRed was good for the opposite end where he was this sentai otaku who seemed to know all the tropes and such and was so enthusiastic about everything.

The show was really great in how it pointed out and poked fun at all the cliches and tropes that have appeared in the genre. It would even look at the same thing, such as posing, in multiple different ways. The plot twits were really just ridiculously fun and the way it was so self aware and the breaking the fourth wall type moments were great. It was nice for people like me in that despite the fact it was more intended for long time fans of this kind of thing they would point out the character or episode they were referring to so you would never really be lost. For me I could say "Ah ok" whereas a long time fan could react "Oh yeah! I remember that episode or scene!".

Because crossover art can be fun and I'm currently watching the anime Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai! I thought this picture here was kind of funny http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mbfh2ydTCk1r8wj6no1_500.jpg

I had a lot of fun with this show and recommend it to people who might not even be into Sentai type shows as they might be pretty entertained like I was. There's rumors that a second season is coming this spring. While they're still just rumors, instead of passing them off without a second thought, apparently the person on 2ch posting them is more reliable in that a few news items they had posted in the past relating to sentai were later officially confirmed or announced. Here's hoping they're right again!

Patlabor: The Movie (Limited Edition) and Patlabor 2 - The Movie (Limited Collector's Edition) - Thanks again to Typographenia for pointing out the great deal on them

==================================================

The Patlabor boxes are great. As others have shared already, they're heavy-duty with storyboards and "archives" packaged in. The two feel great in the hand while holding "Moses and Ten Commandments" style.
More than welcome! I still can't believe how much stuff came in these sets. Really impressive, and the storyboard books are fantastic!

Still kinda hate Mor in Magi.

She could have wrecked that douchebags shit at any time, but she keeps listening to him. So dumb.

I don't think that my tits are quite that big, thankfully.

Maybe I'll do something understated, like a pink suit and pink sunglasses. Better go to a thrift store and buy some clothes dye...

You could also do something obscure like cosplay as one of the various Mahou Shoujo seen in the final episode! :D

Yeah, don't bite off more than you can chew.

You're right, I don't want to get ahead of myself.

har har. Unless you were giving actual advice, in which case...

Or I could just piss everyone off and go as a Sailor Moon or Precure character. lol.

Jormungand can't pay for better directors, but they can pay for music. :(

You should probably watch the new GTO drama, if only because it hits the same level of self-awareness without being too bombastic about it. Although, I say that as someone who still hasn't watched the last two episodes. lol

I actually don't remember how I took the show. I mean, they even did a :firehawk episode, which is probably a parody of the whole idea of :firehawk in the first place. lol

Maybe it felt more sincere with the whole "up its own ass-ness" with the nerd reference stuff, since I don't remember the general feeling of hopelessness that I have after watching an episode of Community of The Big Bang Theory (I think I probably would kill myself if I watched Family Guy or Robot Chicken), but maybe it's precisely that I don't have an emotional attachment to the references that I can be okay with that as comedy without feeling cheaply manipulated.

Levar Burton and Wil Wheaton whored themselves out on the last episode of TBBT and it just felt sad. But when they had that stunt guy/Red in that episode of Akibaranger, I was able to appreciate the cameo without thinking about how sad he must be to be reduced to doing cameos in a comedy series. lol

All of that said, I'd probably watch a second season if it happened.

This show is so much better than the first season. I'm legit enjoying this now. That last line by Jonah had me dying.

Really? It looks the same to me. :(

The stories are more interesting and they also tie into the crew giving it a more personal aspect to it but also fleshing out the crew itself, compared to last season where I couldn't name pretty much anyone other than Jonah or Koko.

At the screening I went to they gave the limited number of posters they had out to cosplayers. I don't know if that is any sort of incentive to you. Also, those tickets seem kind of expensive. At least I don't remember paying that much.

Ah! My Goddess 15

That robot looked creepy as fuck.

What was Urd watching when Skuld blew the power? Was it some martial arts show or something where the guys in the show take disturbing amounts of steroids? I know there are at least some steroids involved.

Wait a minute, you're telling me that Belldandy
makes her own ice cream? Like, from scratch?
GODDAMMIT! THIS WOMAN IS MOTHERFUCKING PERFECT! EVERY TIME SHE CAN'T SEEM MORE AWESOME SOMETHING LIKE THIS IS REVEALED! FUCK ME!

I'm not sure how I feel about Banpei becoming a regular character on the show. It may be interesting, but seeing as how he can't talk or show much emotion, it may be tough. Still, maybe that'll be what makes him unique, especially juxtaposed against the other characters.

Show needs more Urd. Also, I could listen to this OP all fucking day.

420 brah, 420!

I wish I could read Japanese, because maybe the credits would tell us if it was a remix or not. lol

Well, that's what the first season did - especially with Valmet. Nothing's really changed though, they seem to be going through each crew member and doing their story. The show itself just looks like crud though... makes me wonder how garbage the show would look if it wasn't a split cour. :p

Oh, speaking of poo - Eureka 7 AO reminds me why I hate science fiction or "syence fyction". Who wrote this piece of garbage? It smells of Okada-bot, but I don't want to assume that the same person is responsible for all the shitty science fiction in the world. lol

I suppose the ending was better than BSG or Lost's endings though. Right?

It's Aikawa. He's been on a roll at BONES lately, first with Un-Go, now with E7AO. Trying to be the Japanese Lindelof desperately.

Worse than Lost, but the lead-in to the climax is extremely similar. Basically it confirms all the plot hooks the show teased throughout the series have no "real" answers, and they're waved away in the most unsatisfying manner one after another in the last 3-4 episodes. Hilarious.
