Fallout 4 |OT2| Farming Simulator 2287

Really cool, I'll try this for my current playthrough.

Awesome, good luck!

Very interesting. I wonder if the reason so many people have been complaining about the ending is because most people have been doing the quests in specific orders which resulted in conflict but you can actually pacify them if you're careful about the order.

Yeah, it all still felt pretty restrictive in some parts and unclear/nonsensical in others. It's tough to get too invested in it when you don't feel like you have much choice in how things play out. The fact that I was able to overcome a few pitfalls definitely helped, but I didn't feel like I was directly in control of that; it was more a fortunate effect of the ordering I worked out for my quests.

Probably more of a glitch but still, better than the other alternatives?

Yeah, I'll take it. The game certainly doesn't feel glitched. NPCs behave normally now and reference the actions I've taken as expected, so I think I'm out of the woods on things being broken.

So far the most useful companions' perk are:

Danse: player deals 20% more damage against irradiated ghouls, mutated humanoids and androids.

Piper: player gets double XP when discovering new places and successful convo. Quadruple if Piper is also with you after you get the perk?

Codsworth: player gets +10 Damage Resistance against robots' energy attacks.

MacReady: player gets 20% greater chance to hit an enemy's head in V.A.T.S.

The rest doesn't seem that appealing to me. Maybe Preston's? But I don't know if I can put up with his whining if I steal something when I can just get armorer Stat.

not sure how others are with hacking, but I can get Nick valentine to hack just about everything.

Is there an easy way to get idolized by Danse? Like piper?
There is a cheap way to get lots of people to like you. Just send them all to the same place. Ring the bell to get them to all gather around you. Make sure you have Dogmeat with you. Then viciously beat dogmeat in front of everyone with your melee attack until he gets injured then use a stimpack to heal him. Most people will like that. Then sleep for 2 hours and repeat. Its cruel but it works. You need lots of stimpacks though.

*Disclaimer: I do not condone animal abuse. Merely sharing an albeit cruel method of geting multiple companions to like you.

Hey, come on now. I love dogs. I never did it. I just know about it.

The only time I cheat is when I use the caps glitch to get my money back for buying supply shipments.

Not really. His idolizing stat is related to the main plotline and your ability to charm/convince 2 characters.
Also, you have to be careful with how you proceed your mission towards the end if you don't want him to get angry with you.

I don't think I can do what the 3-4 post before me suggested. But then again, I don't even have the heart to pull tricks on NPC to get more caps. Everyone seems to be dirt poor and barely have anything. Unless they belong to dirty raiders/enemies who try to kill me, I usually don't take someone else's stuff.

Has anyone found a reliable way to find companions on console? I lost Nick, no clue where he could be, and I've had to do some stuff with other companions when I really would have preferred Nick. Really frustrating. and it seems like such an obvious oversight that there's no way to see them on the map or fast-travel to them or something.

I believe he has affinity gains for modifying gear, so you can just save/load to abuse that if you want to build affinity quickly.

As an aside, are random armor drops just generally messed up? I keep getting muffled combat/metal armor even though the modifier does nothing and muffled doesn't seem to be a valid mod for those armor types in the first place.

Take off a supressor. Put it back on.

Same thing with an armor mod. You don't actually have to spend resources as long as the action says 'make something?'

Get into power armor.

You find a million armor and weapon benches as you travel, so if you pop in everytime you see one and take of a modand reattach etc, as well as travel in Power armor, exit it > clear the area > pop back in on your way to the next place, you will have him maxed quick.

Just be warned you need to push the BoS questline to get him to idolize level. You will know it when you're there.

Danse likes it when you get in power armor, so with him questing with me, every time I entered a new area (behind a load screen) I popped out and back into my power armor to get a quick rep up.

It works 9 times out of 10 when you transition zones.

I honestly thought this was a joke until you got to the stimpak part, and then I realized how completely right you were.

Remember that there is a 2 hour (in game) reset time for someone to like something you do. So dont waste a bunch of chems for no reason to get Cait to like you or whatever it is. They will only like something once every 2 hours.

In some side quests, companions will go ahead of you to quest markers and stay there. It happened to me with Nick and the Minuteman dude.

i have like 67 power at the castle and it's still in the fucking red. all the settlers are complaining about beds even though the indicator says i'm good. i can't tell if i legitimately am drawing a shittonne of power because of the nodes everywhere since i need to route power lines around, or if it's just bugged like shit.

It either means something is not getting any power (the purifier?) so check the power lines and equipment, or a generator needs repairs.

People should stop referencing data that makes me feel uncomfortable because games get ported to platforms I don't like

Just a heads up that this only works with Codsworth, Curie, Deacon, Piper, and Valentine.
The rest of the Companions will not care about this apparent animal abuse.

I think the bigger question is, how did you figure that out?

YOU SAVAGE.

remember me
So it seems like the
minuteman
ending is the best? Decided to blow
father's
brain's out to trigger it, and now I'm on the final mission.
Some sites are saying the minuteman ending aggros the BOS, but they're still friendly with me, though I did fail all their quests for some reason
. Any way to avoid that?

He disappeared for me after doing the quest where you
go into Kellog's memories
in Goodneighbor not long after first meeting Nick. After that quest Nick
briefly channeled Kellog
, which seemed really interesting and I really wanted to take him on the next story mission to see what came of it. I inadvertently met a new companion on the way to the next mission and had to send Nick away. I sent him to Sanctuary, did some side stuff, went to Sanctuary to swap companions, saw Nick there, did more side stuff, and then went back to Sanctuary to grab Nick for the story mission and he's gone.

I turned the town upside down, looked at my other settlements, looked at his office, looked at a few places where he'd accompanied me on quests before, nothing.

This happened with Dogmeat too, in the mission where you
confront Kellog
not long after getting to Diamond City I followed Dogmeat to the quest location and Nick said "Let's let the dog rest here and carry on without him" or something like that. It didn't give me an option to send Dogmeat somewhere or anything, we just left him standing there.

He wasn't there when we got back, and he also wasn't in Sanctuary. I again turned the place upside down, looked in all the dog houses, looked at the diner where you first meet him, etc. Like ten hours of gameplay later I randomly bumped into him in Sanctuary.

So I'm expecting Nick to pop back up at some point too, but it's really frustrating that I can't easily find whichever companion I want at a given time.

This was my exact style for my playthrough. I was one-shotting legendary Deathclaws on survivor. It is completely, thoroughly broken.

As it was in the previous BethFallouts. The only difference here is that it takes a bit longer to get to that point than in their previous games.

Check his office, piper's office and the memory den. Depending where you are in the main story, he hangs out at those locations even if you send him to your settlement.

I checked those places as well as the place where you
confront Kellog
not long after meeting him. I just
met Virgil
in the south-western corner of the map, not sure if there's anywhere else he'd be for story/ quest reasons.

This is awesome, but the guy gives up too easily. If people can get to max level in wow without fighting, he can at least unlock the level 3 stores.

Wow, that is super cool. The trick to obtain crystal was particularly good; I didn't even know that hatch existed. I get the impression he may not have totally given up, and getting to level 12 is pretty impressive on its own, but yeah, there has to be a way to progress.

Just realized if you sneak up on someone in power armor, you can steal the fusion core out of it and their armor shuts off and they get out. So cool.

so yeah this scribe escort mission is fucking infuriating. so far he's run straight into a brotherhood battle against super mutants and then procced off that into running straight into a quarry full of raiders like 40 meters away

/edit oh it's a radiant quest. well it can go die in a fire then

That was a pain in my ass haha. Currently on my 2nd playthrough, made me and my girlfriend in the beginning. First playthrough i was myself, now im playing through as her. Playing on survival though with a bunch of mods. Havent gotten far since getting hit 2-3 times kills me.

apart from the idiot scribe that random brotherhood battle was freaking amazing though. Three vertibirds flew in and converged on a random church where like four super mutant masters with miniguns, one legendary, were all firing in every direction as brotherhood knights stormed the building.

god the random stuff is sometimes real cool. Of course halfway through it I saw a super mutant T-pose moving through the air before the physics kicked in properly.

Oh SHIT! My sniper rifle can peel off power armor! Dunno how I never saw the fusion core target before, but I now have an assortment of stolen frames in my collection. Just capped Pickpocket too, will be fun to see if I can save the core next time.

Not that I need more frames. I have enough for everyone in Sanctuary to suit up in case of danger. I almost wish we would be attacked.

it's so weird how the bigger and more awesome you make your defences the less likely you are to ever be asked to use them

What's even cooler is that with the Penetrator Perk in perception you can select the Fusion Core even when you're facing Power Armor user from the front and your bullet will penetrate his/her armor and hit the Core. AWWWW YEAHHHH.

How do you break down items?

I can't seem to find the option.

Trying to get the castle up to 100, it's sat at 80 for ages so i hung out for about an hour sleeping and building stuff, 81.

Oh dear this is going to take a while.

That's crazy powerful against sentry bots. They die pretty much instantly if you shoot the power core.
