Fallout: Bakersfield is a 1993' Doom total conversion

They totally get the isometric games atmosphere, but my god there is only so much aliasing a man can take.
They also remade the death animations ???
The Uzi one looks straight of F1

Good for people who like the older looking games, i prefer the Fallout London type of mods that are a bit more modern using Bethesda's engine, i gotta be honest i wouldn't play this personally, but support anyone who does like it.

I always wonder if someone has the ability and the talent to make something like this, which by the way it looks really good, why call it Fallout where you can get into legal trouble with a giant corporation and not develp your own IP, I don't think you need that much you can build this into a viable game

This looks fantastic!

Awesome to see what devs are doing with older/legacy engines these days. Though it's also kinda sad that these "boomer shooters" (Boltgun, Turbo Overkill, Selaco, Prodeus) are really the only thing interesting happening in the FPS world lately.

This has been in development for quite a while. I'm happy to see it's making progress, this new trailer looks great. I love that it's channeling the vibes of the original Fallout games rather than Bethesda slop.

The doom engine can do that!? That's ridiculous.
It runs on GZDoom, which isn't the original engine from 1993.

Yes, they should make it official so it gets console releases too. Name is great, keep it.
I'd pay 48 bucks for it.
I believe it's not possible to port GZDoom games to consoles due to licensing issues, which would explain why neither Hedon nor Selaco have seen console ports.

Yes, that seems to be the case. If the got MS's blessing (and funding) they would switch to Unity or Unreal Engine, even Godot.

It wouldn't have gotten this level of attention. Plus this project makes for a good résumé builder, as most big fan projects tend to do, especially when released.

This is new to me but I am suddenly very interested in this project. I really hope they finish it and I will happily exchange money for this.

I am more interested in this than perhaps any modern game I've seen in a good few years. Most other games get a "Oh right, that looks fine I guess" sort of reaction but this grabbed me.
