Well FUCK ME!!! I'm so pissed right now.. the game's frozen on me so many damn times, and now this--

Boone Spoiler GLITCH?

Somehow I have his rifle now and can't give it back. He's pretty damn useless now with only a machete...

FUCK THIS GAME!
Buy another rifle, give it to him, and he'll use it.

Nope, I looked it up and it's some casino glitch that caused it. Pretty common glitch appears. When I came out of casino the game gave me the gun instead of him.

Now he only has machete, but it doesn't show up in his inventory (but he has it on him, can see him use it in battle). Can give him rifle but won't use it... will only use machete or pool cue or some shit.

This is beyond ridiculous...

Also I'm finding very few energy weapons. The only good ones I have is the plasma pistol and the flamer. Can anyone point me in the general direction of some better weapons?
Try the Silver Rush.

He's not set to melee? I thought they usually have an empty inventory.

Try the Mikoto Companions De-Equipable mod.

I'm on PS3.. I'm just going to try to dump him for another partner for now I suppose.. I'm about ready to break the damn disc.. He was awesome for me up to that damn glitch.
He might be set to Melee like Fredescu pointed out. i think a machete is his personal melee weapon and you cant see their personal weapons in the inventory unless you use that mod i mentioned.

Where can you do the
body
mods? I want to start doing those so I have better perks on level ups

PS: No god damn idea what I'm going to do regarding the wild card quest(s)

The mods are at
the Las Vegas Medical Clinic outside of New Vegas (and Freeside). Its near the Gun Runners and the Crimson Caravan Company.

In a medical clinic northeast of Vegas. It's really close to the city.

Oh yeah thing about Silver Rush
Simple quest spoilers.
Do the quest the woman inside the shop offers. All it involves is standing around and following directions. Then when it's over the guard takes the stuff he gives you and walks into the store...perfect opportunity to crack open the case and score some easy loot.

I find it funny that the dude just takes the player's armor and leaves them standing naked in the street.

Question about the
Clinic with the stat-boost implants.

So I hear that the number of mods are determined by the endurance stat? So how many can actually be installed on say...5 endurance?

Been playing for over 17 hours and just now entered New Vegas, just met Mr House and I'm wondering when/where I can get the NCR Ranger Combat armor (same kind as the dude on the game-box)?

Also I had to give my copy of New Vegas to my friend cause I have two papers due this week and I needed to resist playing Fallout :D

Well, when you first go into the Lucky 38 your companions are not allowed to go inside, so I would assume they are still standing on the steps waiting for you to come back and pick them up?

Feeling pretty dumb now. He was right at the entrance to it, thanks for the help.

You cant trade the rifle back to him right? Have you tried planting it on him (reverse-pickpocket)?

Neither works..

Planting it on him doesn't work because it doesn't show up in my INVENTORY when I'm talking to him. It's just odd.. but like I said it is a common problem people are having, and no one has found a solution that I know of.

I suggest people specifically leave him outside before getting close to the casinos to prevent this. I'm too far ahead to go back to a previous save.

DAMMIT. I am almost at lvl 30 and i know as soon as i hit that level cap my interest in completing my 10+ sidequests i built up will disappear.

I guess i could save them for another playthrough...but what if i get something awesome?!?!?!

5. It directly correlates. But make one of your first purchases an Endurance implant to get a free implant slot.

Deacan

9/10 NeoGAFfers don't understand statistics. The other 3/10 don't care.
I thought I had hit a bug and lost Rex, only to remember I made him stay
In the Overseers Office in Vault 34
but I forgot all about him, so I went back inside a few hours later only to find him :D

Finally found a way to kill deathclaws on Hard -HC mode.

Anti Material Rifle :bow

Having a decent stock of ammo for the gun will completely kill your encumbrance though. :lol

Think I'm gonna dump Veronica for Boone after I finish her personal quest. Running head first into deathclaws is making me leave her behind.

oh, and I found a place called scorpion gulch or something like that. Really lives up to the name.

Whoa that's pretty damn sweet. I'm going to hit up all of the merchants for some cash and get beefed up. Shame it's only one upgrade per stat.

Looks like new nvidia drivers are out. Has anyone tried them? I'm guessing I should remove the dll file before trying it, I suppose.

Any good strategies for taking out Caesar? I feel like doing it out of personal interest, but I imagine it must be nearly impossible.
Use a stealth boy and sniper rifle, or any decent weapon with the Steady buff, which increases your accuracy. Crouch and enter his tent. As soon as you step into the tent, open VATS and assassinate him, then leave the tent. A couple enemies will come out but not all of them. You can heal up and go after the rest next. You don't need uber gear to do this, either.

Almost done with the game, finished a ton of quests. Crit stacking is still incredibly overpowered, especially stealth crits with stacked bonuses. Swinging Oh, Baby! around to 1-2 shot deathclaws is funny. Sniper rifles are incredibly powerful too due to the mentioned stealth crit stacking.

Still perfecting the build but I'd say this one here is very solid:
Base stats before modding: 7 STR, 5 PER, 7 END, 1, 5 INT, 6 AGI, 9 LCK
Perks: 01 Fast Shot and Built to Destroy, 02 Rapid Reloads, 04 Educated, 06 Bloody Mess, 08 Cowboy, 10 Finesse, 12 Shotgun Surgeon, 14 Purifier, 16 Better Criticals, 18 Super Slam, 20 Confirmed Bachelor, 22 Sniper, 24 Ninja, 26 Nerves of Steel, 28 Jury Rigging, 30 Hunter
Best companions: ED-E w/ armor perk, Lily for 10% extra stealth crits

Could anyone help me with the companion quest e-de my love?
apparently i missed the opportunity to get old lady gibson to say helios one while having e-de as a compaion, so now I have to find someone else to say helios one in a conversation. Problem is, I did find someone that did that, but it didn't trigger e-de's quest. So I'm wondering if anyone else that also couldn't talk to old lady gibson could tell me who they talked too, and where that person is in the game

Gah! So I had managed to get on the good side of the
NCR
and they gave me this nifty
emergency radio that I can use to summon NCR troopers, rangers, and cargo drops
in a pinch, and it's great. I loved my
radio
. Anyway, this morning I summoned a
ranger
to help me in a fight against those hard as hell poisonous blue flies in the wilderness. She got in between me and a baddie and I accidentally burned her alive with the flamethrower. That brought my standing with the
NCR faction
down and now I can't use my
emergency radio
anymore:(

I thought about going back a save, but I had done a lot of stuff between now and then (or then and then, rather) so either way i was kind of fucked. Now I'm trying to think of ways to get back into the good graces of the
NCR.
Currently doing the
ranger station code change quest
but I can't find the station that's closest to the Great Khan main camp. And speaking of the Great Khans, can I safely assume that since they're
plotting against the NCR with the Legion
that if I
wipe them out
I will get a lot of brownie points for helping out the
NCR?
That's my plan anyway. I want my damn
emergency radio
back.

The doctor in Jacobstown. He talks about Enclave stuff.

The doctor in Helios, too. But, I killed him in mine. :lol. I got the first part while doing Veronica's side quest. Apparently Arcade Ganon (in Freeside) has a bunch of the keywords in his quest, as well.

Hmm....

Completing the
I Put A Spell On You
quest before doing much of anything in the Strip may not have been a good idea. :p

Random invisible barriers are starting to piss me off. There's a place SE of Searchlight Airport that I can see on my radar but I can't get to at all.

Another bug...

Just attached a laser sight to my 10mm pistol and now the whole screen is covered in a white haze and the gun has disappeared. Wouldn't be so aggravating if I could remove the sight.

Just tried them out, everything seems better, no major stuttering besides loading new areas while walking around, still drops to much. The wierd dot glitches are gone with HDR x4AA turned on as far as I could tell.

While I was checking out the framerate is certain areas I found something really odd going on, I'm not sure if it's driver related or what. If someone could test it on their system to see if it happens. I was in Nipton walking around, if I'm inside the city and running around, movement feels like it is in slow motion and going into 3rd person shows the animations much slower than they should be. If I'm facing away from Nipton leaving down a road, animations suddenly are fine again.

Framerate between the views is 40-45fps compared to 60fps. It's a very odd bug, never seen a game do that before, wish I had vegas installed to post a youtube.

All settings on max except AA at x4, vsync on in launcher.

I feel like
Deathclaws
are pretty stupid this time around. I appreciate them being more like the older games, but the best way to combat them is the one that makes the least sense. I don't really get it.

*Shrug* I just now went back to them at level 22 and obliterated them. Use of a sniper rifle from far off until they get to me or just unloading minigun into them does the trick. They feel about as hard as F3's version.

Also, fuck the Ed-E quest. Dumbest one in the entire game.

They're definitely nothing like F3. Weapon balance seems like a big problem versus them.

What? I disarmed the bomb.

Yeah, the option never came up for me. The spy saw me when I went inside the tower before finishing his convo, so I had to kill him since he went aggro. When I went back to Hsu he told me to go disarm the bomb, but when I got to the monorail, it went off and exploded before I could enter it (that automatically happens). Gotta live with the consequences! I still got positive rep with the NCR for removing the mole, though. :lol

You wasted time telling Hsu about it, it's all your fault!
