How do you get the UI mod working? It looks like this:



I've tried putting it in the data directory. So data/menu and nothing happens. I've also just tried putting it straight in the dir so data/bunch of files.xml data/dialogue,etc... and that didn't work either. The readme.txt sucks for this mod but I want to see more than 3 lines when I talk to people!

That is exactly what I did - copy "menu" folder in "data". It worked without any problem.

Restart steam if it doesn't work.

I did (PS3), I've also had a 'can't shoot or open up pipboy' glitch. In 12 hours of gameplay those are all the ones I've seen.

Another thing I hate is the fact that I can't beat some side missions if my skills aren't high enough.

I am in a bottling plant side mission and I can't shut down the computer because my science isn't 50. I came all the way through the plant to find that out.

EDIT: Who do I talk to to get into the strip? I am stuck.

Like in Fallout 3, my favorite thing to do is to just travel the wastelands with no clear goal in mind. I love it. The ambient music and sound is so good and you actually have to manage your inventory with no shops in close proximity. You stumble across a lot of neat stuff, too. I hate to use the word 'immersive', since it's been raped and murdered by the gaming press, but it would definitely describe the experience of wandering the wastelands.

I've made some progress on the quests but honestly I'm not even sure what I'm doing right now. I can't keep up with all the different clans and shit.

This is THE thing to do in Fallout games. Just pick a corner of the map and go toward it. Its what I loved about FO:3 and its absolutely what I love about this game. Since XP isnt tied to story missions or quests its all good in my eyes. I had over 85 hours in FO:3 and never finished 5 main quests.

At least those are the options I am aware of.

Reminds me of when I'm just calmly strolling through some area admiring the scenery and then, BOOM slow-motion gory kill shot of some random enemy I didn't even see by one of my companions. That's some unnerving stuff right there :lol

I'm guessing Come Fly With Me is too hard for you because you're trying to kill the Nightkin. You don't need to (and from a design standpoint aren't really expected to).

I feel a little annoyed because I didn't realize that a few of the perks I wanted to take would require 6 or 7 PER.
