Amazing that with all that money they still can’t be bothered to find a better director than Yates. Deathly Hallows part 1 was the only HP movie he directed that I liked.
Why wouldn’t it? It’s set in the same universe and features many characters from the Harry Potter series.Guess harry potter has to carry this movie.
What have Disney got to do with this?I loved the 2 movies but disney can get fucked in the ass after what they did to depp.
Lol i thought it was disney...then whoever got rid of depp. What have Disney got to do with this?
I have to admit the final film totally fucked up the final battle and ruined how cool the battle was in the book, in the film they were fighting alone which really pissed me off. For years everyone only knew parts of what harry had been upto until that final battle in the great hall where everyone students/teachers/aurors everyone finally watched as harry told voldermort how he had royally fucked up and how it was going to end they all got to see that it wasn't just some rumour about harrys ability. Least neville wasn't done a dirty the final battle was where everyone saw just how amazingly cool he was.Harry Potter ended with The Goblet of Fire.
Convince me otherwise.
And as for the spin-off films, it doesn't help when you unjustly fire one of the better actors in it.
Film HP definitely did.Harry Potter ended with The Goblet of Fire.
Convince me otherwise.
The very first scene Goblet of Fire spoils the twist the book is built around.Harry Potter ended with The Goblet of Fire.

Considering Goblet of Fire was the worst film (best book though), made by a hack/incompetent director, you are incorrect.Harry Potter ended with The Goblet of Fire.

That's the point. The characters grow up and so the movies go away from being just for kids.Thoroughly enjoyed the first two movie but that's where my love of Harry Potter ends. Prisoner of Azkaban was too dark and lost the innocence of the previous films.
Yes I'm fully aware of that, but I wish they could have stretched out the innocence for the third instalment. I would have been content with the trilogy and watch none of the others. That's the point. The characters grow up and so the movies go away from being just for kids.

People are fond of certain things and that's good enough for them. It's not that they dislike the others, they just don't have any interest within them. Same goes for me from Harry Potter 3 onwards. Why such aversion to a darker tone? And they are still plenty fun btw not totally dark.
What was wrong with the Goblet of Fire film?Excited for this! +

What was wrong with the Goblet of Fire film?
Alternate title
Fantastic beasts: The gay secrets of dumbledore.
Can't wait for all those juicy secrets about his relationship with grindlewald to be revealed, it's not just a boggart in his closet lol. Rowling revealed some of it in the book but we never got to find out exactly what they were getting upto, probably wand fights in the showers.

Like...the name of the series is Fantastic Beasts yet we have here the "Secrets of Dumbdore". Sounds to me that Fantastic Beasts isn't so confident talking about the magical creatures and have to relly on big names/characters.
You know they gonna be clapping wizard cheeks in the new movieThis. The new series can't shake off the shackles of Harry Potter. The first film tried to do something a little different, but now it's back to Hogwarts with Dumbadore.
Wonder if they'll be brave and show a flashback of Dumbadore and Grindlewald in a loving relationship. I'm not saying they should show them violently banging like hammer and tongs, but at least make it crystal clear they were lovers.
You make it sound like the book was something awesome.A lot. The director didn’t even read to book. The film omitted an absolute ton, and even spoiled the big twist right at the beginning.
