FBI reviewing emails found on devices used by Weiner/Abedin

Yeah, warranted here or not, you really can't accuse of media of a bias for Trump this month. Almost all of October was dominated by Trump's sexual assaults, his poor performances at the debates, his horrible and childish rhetoric of a rigged election, his total meltdown that basically saw him going to war with his own party, etc. There's been very little negatively reported about Clinton this month up until now, while almost all the major networks were shoveling dirt on Trump. Even with this, the overall tone of the discussion seems more confusion than outright negative barring the usual far right suspects.

Yes, but there was plenty of substance to all of the shit surrounding Donald. So far there has been no information released that would indicate how or why Hillary should be under scrutiny about these new emails that may, or may not, have anything to do with her. It's like Donald Trump wrote the script for this act of the 2016 Presidential Election.

Youre right, nobody has talked about Trump being a disgusting pig towards woman. That just slipped under the radar.

Are you bind where did I say that no one talked about Trump? Today's special phrase is reading comprehension.

They spent weeks talking about that. They are eager to talk about something new and run with the "tight-race" narrative.

oh I know its about the tight race narrative but its still ridiculous.

So logically constructing this in my head -

Not only does this having nothing to do with HRC beyond the fact that Huma sent e-mails and received e-mails from her....

But Huma apparently didn't know Weiner was accessing her e-mail on his laptop?

So if anything, Weiner is just in deeper shit (if there's anything bad even there) - and Comey sent a fucking letter to a bunch of rabid Republican Congressmen for 0 reason at all?

Because Comey once had a heroic role in shutting down the John Ashcroft hospital bed signature scandal during the Bush administration, he was widely viewed as an unbiased "straight shooter". And Obama tends to take a positive view of human nature, which we see here backfired in a major way.

This makes sense. Shame.

What was Obama's reason for appointing a fucking Republican to this position in 2013?

The same reason Obama appointed other Republicans and known shills into major positions. It's because of his judgement. Hopefully, Democrats stay on top of Hillary's team and weed out incompetent people and those opposed to what they want ideologically if she wins.

Clinton aide Huma Abedin has told people she doesn’t know how her emails wound up on her husband’s computer
Top Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin has told people she is unsure how her emails could have ended up on a device she viewed as her husband’s computer, the seizure of which has reignited the Clinton email investigation, according to a person familiar with the investigation and civil litigation over the matter.

The person, who would not discuss the case unless granted anonymity, said Abedin was not a regular user of the computer, and even when she agreed to turn over emails to the State Department for federal records purposes, her lawyers did not search it for materials, not believing any of her messages to be there.

That could be a significant oversight if Abedin’s work messages were indeed on the computer of her estranged husband, former congressman Anthony Weiner, who is under investigation for allegedly exchanging lewd messages with a 15-year-old girl. So far, it is unclear what — if any — new, work-related messages were found by authorities. The person said the FBI had not contacted Abedin about its latest discovery, and she was unsure what the bureau had discovered.

According to federal law enforcement officials, investigators found thousands of messages on Weiner’s computer that they believe to be potentially relevant to the separate, Clinton email investigation. How they are relevant — or if they are significant in any respect — remains unknown.

there's no point in questioning them when everyone (including diablos) knows their full of it. Just move on, nothing can come from arguing with someone that's not trying to have a serious argument.
But not everyone coming into this thread is aware of all the details. If really dumb stuff like that isn't challenged, then people are just going to be uninformed.

I know a lot of people are quite angry and confused but it seems to me Comey felt compelled after he had already said the investigation was done only to learn that an ongoing investigation was still taking place - this is more on whoever was sitting on this information.

What is a concern though based on this recent information is it does not relate to Abedin's 'devices' but her husband. Who was clearly in a compromised position. I doubt there is a grand conspiracy for how they ended up there but politically I think the fallout will be Abedin being forced to step back from the campaign and any role in Hilary's office - this was likely just really bad handling of data.

Or it could be more which would be again, a worry.

How is Huma at fault for her husband getting into her e-mail on his computer?

This is a case of a husband being a 110% moron.

Compelled by whom? He was purposefully told it would be a bad idea by nearly everybody around him.

By the time this is done, I hope somebody makes a press statement starting with "reckless and irresponsible".

Isn't the justice department the ones who grant the warrants?

Maybe Comey was being stonewalled by the Obama justice department and decided this was the only route to keep him out of jail and force the Justice department's hand.

(Slams head into wall so hard it leaves a crack)

That's what I mean by if there is not some grand conspiracy. You really don't know what happened, nor do I. There is an issue that if he had them, why didn't Huma?

Right now we just don't know but its not exactly a stretch to think a spouse might use their partners laptop once and suddenly its tied to their email server.

Compelled by whom? He was purposefully told it would be a bad idea by nearly everybody around him.

By his own position. They were not speaking for his and I'd suggest making a decision based on political reasoning is clearly political.

It would be amazing if Weiner goes to the slammer for not only sexting with a minor, but also breaking into his wife's government issued email inbox.

A more hilarious theory is Huma logging into her account from multiple devices.

"Clinton aide Huma Abedin has told people she doesn’t know how her emails wound up on a Holiday Inn lobby computer."

Government issued email?
I don't think we would be in this mess if we were dealing with government issued email addresses.

I am betting Weiner ends up charged with something in the coming months.

So dude was snooping on his wife while trying to get freaky with any girl he could find

If anything this is further reason that dude needs to be sent to Tasmania and never associated with American politics again

What are you talking about? Sounds like he's shaping up to be a GOP favorite for 2020

Well, no. Assuming they have Huma's sent and received emails, which officials say they do, and knowing that Huma was one of the primary addresses HRC emailed to, they are now likely in possession of some / a few of the 30k emails HRC's team deleted.

Huma's defense that she didn't know about the device is irrelevant in that regard, though it is the only logical defense. If she didn't say this, it would prove she lied during the initial investigation, would lose her immunity, and would be headed straight for indictment.

2016, man.

alright, what's her angle

Does anybody read? Its not Fox News, its one person. And she had the same thing happen to her so she can't very well blame Clinton.

The FBI agents investigating Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server knew early this month that messages recovered in a separate probe might be germane to their case, but they waited weeks before briefing the FBI director, according to people familiar with the case.

A public revelation in early October might have been less politically damaging for Clinton than one coming less than two weeks before the Nov. 8 election. It is also unclear what agents have been doing in the intervening time — for instance, whether they were trying to learn more about the emails before notifying Comey. An FBI spokesman declined to immediately provide a statement.

A Washington Post-ABC News tracking poll found that more than 6 in 10 likely voters said the FBI’s announcement would make no difference in their vote. A little more than 3 in 10 said the news made them less likely to support Clinton, though about two-thirds of those were Republicans or Republican-leaning independents.

I should tag quote you but I'm too lazy... but for fucks sake she didn't delete 30k e-mails that were part of the fucking investigation - this isn't hard to find out:

The FBI’s investigation did find several thousand emails among those deleted that were work-related and should have been turned over to the State Department. However, FBI Director James Comey said in a July 2016 statement that the FBI investigation "found no evidence that any of the additional work-related emails were intentionally deleted in an effort to conceal them."

Comey added in a later congressional hearing that the FBI learned no one on Clinton’s staff specifically asked the employee to delete the emails following the New York Times story and subpoena. Rather, the employee made that decision on his own.

Clinton told the FBI that she did was not involved in deciding whether individual emails should be sent to State Department, nor "did she instruct anyone to delete her emails to avoid complying with FOIA, State or FBI requests for information."

I am well aware of all of that. All of you dudes have this grand idea that these democrats who you (and I by the way) are voting for would somehow be these progressive heroes if it wasn't for those ol' darn republicans. Don't be so fucking naive.
If you were actually aware of that, then you wouldn't be blaming Obama for the lack of progressive legislation and you wouldn't be calling Hillary a blue dog democrat when she is not one.

If you were aware and still place the blame on the two of them for not being "progressive heroes" and therefore that's why no progressive policy gets implemented, then it's a complete contradiction. The president cannot sign progressive legislation that does not make it to his desk. I don't think you know how the federal government functions at all.

Did you meant to quote me? I know who Jeanine Pirro is.

Her angle is that she had the same thing happen to her.

Pirro also related Clinton's situation to one in which the former prosecutor became involved in 2006.

When she was running for New York attorney general, Pirro said the Justice Department and the FBI announced to the media that they were opening an investigation of her. She said it was "mean-spirited and, of course, nothing came of it, except the adverse publicity cost me at the polls."

"What was done to me in 2006 was wrong, and what happened to Hillary Clinton [Friday], was equally wrong," Pirro said. "Now, this nation has already gone through an exhausting and traumatic campaign season. The FBI director should not now be front and center."

I know I know dude. But she displays the classic conservative streak, can only sympathise with a situation if it has personally affected them. No empathy otherwise.

What is the Hillary camp going to drop the weekend before election day to override this? Another rape scandal for Trump?

You're like the tenth dude. Please insult me some more.

Tv news seems to be ignoring all these new developments, instead going with the "it's all Clinton's fault for even having a private server".

That doesn't change holding information till the last minute nor Comeys crap. It feels like there is a narrative trying to be pushed here. They need to check their investigators emails/ social media. I imagine it would be some interesting stuff discovered.

That's way too late to drop something, if they have anything left. Probably at the beginning of the week sometime if there's something.

The only thing left that would sway anyone is a sex tape with Putin. I can't imagine what else they could have up their sleeve that change anyone's mind about that creep.

Theres a sex tape isn't there. I was hoping the world would be spared such a horror.
