On the one hand it sounds like WWE is trying to hide that they had nothing else planned for The New Day. On the other hand, if they're getting paid the same either way then it's a good gig. They can get the Mania spotlight without any worries of getting hurt.

I think the Sky Diving J show NJPW did in 1996 where every match is Jr Heavy title match from a huge variety of promotions only for them all to be thrown down at the very end of the show to allow a tournament to decide the ultimate Jnr Heavy with the J Crown, to be one of the most enjoyable shows to ever take place.
I loved it to pieces when I saw it for the first time 12 years ago and I rewatched the whole show today and it's still fucking incredible. It's the perfect sample of so many styles and each match matters in that moment due to a belt being on the line. It's just all so damn cool.
If New Day introduces Hogan I'm going to be pissed. Man, I hope Hogan passes that physical. I'd love for them to beat his ass or at least turn heel on dude. Heel Day was more entertaining.
