Fave Five Old, Grumpy TMFs;
1. Yoshiaki Fujiwara
2. Jumbo Tsuruta
3. Genichiro Tenryu
4. Yoshihiro Takayama
5. Akira Taue
Fujiwara's always been an old, grumpy TMF. Legitimately dangerous in the ring, he's never really looked 'young' for most of his career and has always come across as an exceptionally vicious competitor. Jumbo's a contentious one, as for the most part he was fun, lovable Jumbo (except when facing Choshu), but once he felt Misawa biting at his tail he just turned into such a huge prick, it was great to watch. Tenryu needs little explanation, dude had a massive chip on his shoulder, went and formed his own company and established himself as a mean asshole who wouldn't even take shit from guys like Hashimoto. Takayama, like Fujiwara, for much of his career has been an old, grumpy TMF. More-so post-stroke where he wasn't quite as mobile and relied more on just kneeing fools until they stopped moving. Lastly, Akira Taue. He, like Jumbo, grew into his old, grumpy TMF status and it was glorious seeing the young NOAH guys thinking they could take liberties with clumsy old Taue, only to get fucking Nodowa Otoshi'd to death.
