The arcade thing is going to cause a schism for sure.Tokido said he thinks Japan is going to stick with SF4 cause SF5 is too simple. Interesting times are ahead.

Highly doubt it.
Name me a single none arcade fighting game that Japan invests serious time into. Do you not remember when 90% of Japan kept playing Vanilla SF4 because Super never got an arcade release?Highly doubt it.

Actually I remember a ton of Japan playing Super online. Most of the notable players played super. Now I'm not going to throw around random numbers but I'm guessing a very significant amount of the playerbase played super. And I think the same will happen with SFV.Name me a single none arcade fighting game that Japan invests serious time into? Exactly.maybe not the dudes that got to make a career outta this shit but i can see the serious and quite good but not sponsored type jp players sticking with 4 if they dont like/get bored of 5
Well obviously if they don't like 5 they'll probably stop playing it.maybe not the dudes that got to make a career outta this shit but i can see the serious and quite good but not sponsored type jp players sticking with 4 if they dont like/get bored of 5

You have a bad memory. Do you not recall EVO 2010 when there was only 1 Japanese player in Top 8? Why? Because Japan wasn't taking Super seriously. You think America was just godlike in Super and fell off with AE? Japan just didn't give a shit. i can name 500,000 (and possibly more) reasons why this won't be the case

Was he ever a veteran though?!Gootecks is getting his Washed Up Old Veterans card in the mail soon
Japan was still playing Vanilla in the arcade at the time, Super never got an Arcades release. Why was Japan down on Super?
Which is why we got an update named SSF4 AESuper wasn't in the Arcade.
