One of the main reasons I like Sonic Fox is that he's dominating as a youngin . Sometimes the FGC has such a hard on for old-school players who have been in the arcade scene for 10+ years and looks down on the newer generations for apparently lacking fundamentals, etc. And those 30+ somethings are usually the ones who do really well anyways. But that "young vs old" mentality gets annoying and is incredibly insular. So watching Sonic poop all over them is satisfying and can potentially encourage new players that they can compete to. He also seems to be a nice, welcoming person and doesn't care what others think about him.

Well given the games that are the most popular...

Yeah, I think I was more impressed with Yoshi's play overall. Not surprisingly, since there's less on the line for Marvel, the game has been more interesting to me!

I hope Sonic Fox picks up SFV and ruins everyone's Christmas. The salt would be OD.
The salt would probably just be west coast.

I'm not sure if SFV is his style
It's likely not but we shall see.

I hope he does so America becomes dominant in the game.

He would go far in it because I think he comes to the games like Japan does, but the US will never be dominant unless it gets newer people to really blow up and regional training centers. All those things are highly unlikely.

I don't know if SonicFox would be able to dominate SFV if he took it seriously. He'd do well for himself but but it'd probably be harder to find the same level of success he does with the ones he's currently playing.

At least based on the stuff I've seen him in a variety of games he's touched, he seems to thrive in ones where offense is strong and he can force opponents to do something so he can blow them up with a read or a bait. MKX seems to be the recent exception with his Kitana zoning, at least off the top of my head.

I mean i am sure he realizes that he wins free money from playing MK. None of his challengers are upto his level. He is making thousands. I am sure hes not too worried about the SF money where I am sure competition is much tougher. But I think the guy is talented and he can take over SF too if he tried.

I'm of this opinion as well dude is legit talented. I actually want to see him play Tekken as well. He seemed interested in Lucky Chloe at FR last year.

Parries always being on the table means anything is possible. You know it, your opponent knows it, the crowd knows it and and Daigo sure as hell does. Clutch is always a forward press away.

I like the rule in a way, but letting the system protect you versus being able to do it yourself will definitely set it apart from 3S sooner or later. I think many people will prefer the uncertainty of having to rely on skill to avoid chip kills, but few will be vocal about it.

I definitely prefer parry to no chip.

Looking through Elphelt hitboxes. My god she's a gorilla o_o'

EDIT: Here, have some dumb:

You dont get banned by accident. No hit stun is not a good idea. There are a lot of PTX and Lightan shenanigans out there other than comedic loops. Giants are not good ideas and they dont play by the same rules of the game and make most of its meta irrelevant.

I sympathize with players who actually play the game seriously and don't like being forced to take a ride on the counterpick wheel when their main team has a bad match-up (because match-ups with those characters tended to literally skew to the 9-1 or 1-9 ends of the spectrum when I was still playing that game), but I like drastically unique characters in addition to actually finding it fun to play against those two, and the giants are two of the biggest things keeping TvC from just feeling like Marvel Lite. I've never seen characters like that in any other game.

It was nice to have a couple match-ups in that game where super meter was mostly used for supers, too. "Not playing by the same rules" isn't bad in and of itself.

The red just means the area that triggers that vacuum part of the counter if your hurtbox is in that area. If it's outside, your character flinches and reels back. The red doesn't mean that's the area that triggers all counters lol

Also, more Izanami info for BB. Shows her movelist with some pictures for some of them

So it's still an open question if SF5 on the PS4 will support PS3 sticks, and no ArcSys game in PS4 has either... but you know what Japanese developer is putting PS3 stick support in their PS4 game? The developers of Koihime Musou. They're using the same PS3 drivers that LabZero developed; glad to see someone else pick it up.

Now everyone else who isn't doing this is looking like clownshoes
or moneyhats
.

I just want to know if it has cross-save. The reason I'm getting it on the PC instead of PS4 right now is that I want constant access to the game and all the things I unlocked.

Oh I'm not against folks having their own drastically unique gimmicks...after all I play Injustice and admire BlazBlue. It's like you say though, the giants always create such enormous 9-1 or 1-9 sort of matchups every time they are in play. That's gimmicks done badly IMO. That's not good for a game or an audience.

EDIT: Plus they are boring as hell due to how they work.

You guys gotta stop making me scared to pick up Revelator.
I hear that, it's definitely not the same but I'm into the idea of when a fireball happy player used to be able to chip you out at the end of a round can't do that anymore. Just adds more honesty to an already honest game. Did they get rid of the continue on the side you left on in round 1 or did they revert back to what SF IV does and always keep you on your own player side?
Looks to be the latter judging from a laggy Aris match I saw on YT earlier.

Yeah it looks like you can punish it without too much trouble if you aren't scared of eating a counter hit. The start up on it is also pretty long.

If any saint is willing, I would love to see hitboxes for:
Zato Drill
All 4 Eddie attacks.
Zato j.K.
Zato 6HS
Elphelt's champagne bottle (for the lolz).

Thanks. So there's a hurtbox inside of the hitbox on his fist?

Doesn't have shi on that beak driver hitbox tho LAWD

I always liked hurt boxes that overlapped hitboxes like that. It meant if someone had an armor vs armor scenario they didn't have to reach back as far into the other dude to knock him out of stuff. Also useful to setup stuff that way to engineer trades.
