Those stick motions are waaaay to fast for a new player to keep track of. Like playing cups.
The problem is that fighting game devs tend to go "I watched a lecture about GGPO, seems easy enough to roll our own rather than pay for the license" or "we tested our delay-based netcode on our perfect Japanese networks and it seemed fine"This should be standard for every single fighting game.
Where's my wake up/recovery recorded action though?!

I put together the sales data in the least readable format I could think of; have fun with it.
I don't think CPEX selling like shit is indicative of all that much, fwiw.
I definitely want to be watching this this weekend. Do me a favor and post a reminder when it starts? Otherwise I'll likely forget.BlazBlue Tournament Weekend Thread
Please check out the BlazBlue weekend thread for those interested in a Japan tournament this week.
This will have the most BlazBlue talent we've seen in a while and it will span throughout Saturday and Sunday in JST; Friday and Saturday in western time.
It will consist of...
National 2 on 2 tournament, Braver's Revel with the best players who were able to qualify
Exhibition matches between character specialists and some of the best character in the world.
And 11 on 11 Team Battle Royale with some of the top ranked players in Japan.
Definitely a must watch for BlazBlue players. And a very very good watch for any fan of competitive fighting games.
These will happen at 13:00 JST Saturday and Sunday, so ~20:00 PST/23:00 EST.

BBCP and Xrd numbers really surprising to me. Wonder what the west is like for CP/Xrd/AC.
Combined with the input display it would work. The stick motions just show you how it should look if you did it right, but it could be slowed down a bit. The problem now is letting people know it's there so they could use it.Those stick motions are waaaay to fast for a new player to keep track of. Like playing cups.
Nah GG seems to be at least somewhat more popular than UNIEL.Nice to think this will sell 5k copies in japan. -_-

Capcom messed up so bad with SFxT that it not only affected games that were about to be developed by Capcom but Namco too!gasp
all part of the plan

Mika mirrors... what has SFV become?
;_;
SFxT was released in arcades?Didn't SFxT do better than TTT2, though?
Didn't SFxT do better than TTT2, though?
That would be on PC then, right... ?
SFxT was released in arcades?
Also difference in budget.
Degica is a licensed publisher for the PS4 and Vita, as they released the localized versions of Darius Burst: Chronicle Saviors. Only the original release of Koihime Musiu got a PC release, so its probably a PS4 release.Yeah, PC should be a given. No official announcement yet so I don't know if it will come to consoles. Hope it does.
It's not all in a vacuum man.If we're talking arcades, then why would SFxT's release mess things up at all for TxSF?
I assumed you meant consoles because SFxT was only on consoles. If we're talking arcades, wouldn't SF4 and TTT2/T7 performance be most relevant?

A PC port would be legit, though.

TTT2/T7 will do fine financially speaking because they were released in arcades. SFxT/SFV are not in arcades and thus have to make up more in the console sales. If they don't make up the sales then that affects future projects.
Namco probably looked at the performance of SFxT on consoles, then looked at the performance of SFV on consoles and was like... nah, SF isn't going to be as big of a boost to them on consoles as they imagined. Sure they can probably release TxSF on arcades as well as consoles but it's pretty obvious that SFV's performance has them hesitant on making that plunge. It was pretty obvious that they were hesitant ever since SFxT's performance, always delaying talking about the game. They probably thought they could maybe ride off the back of SFV but that isn't panning out so they might cut their losses.
If SFxT was a rip roaring success, Namco would've fast tracked out TxSF.
How much longer will the Melty Blood sale last for?

This is the spiderman 3 effect on steroids.Yeah, even if after T7 comes out on consoles, I don't see how this game would ever get enough serious development and window without a bad fracture happening like Harada said. This one was dead in the water and definitely was SFxT's fault.
