Combo Breaker is thrilled to announce a presentation sponsorship from Avyd for our 2016 event. Introduced earlier this year, Avyd is a startup eSports company dedicated to enhancing player experiences by offering a competitive platform dedicated to improving online and offline events. Their goal is to further advance the growth of the Fighting Game Community by providing it with new ways to compete in the games they love. Avyd has committed to showing its dedication to the Fighting Game Community, and its continued growth, by announcing a $100,000 Fighting Game Championship to be played this winter.

At Combo Breaker we try to partner with companies that share our beliefs around community and competitive spectacle. With Avyd we’ve encountered a brand supportive enough for Combo Breaker to reach new heights on both fronts. Thanks to our partnership with Avyd all 20 tournaments at Combo Breaker will be showcased on feature stages, with professional broadcast teams, and curated in-house commentary. Avyd’s support has allowed all stages to come equipped with large format projection screens, dynamic lighting, and great audio.

Holy shit at Disney closing Avalanche studios. All those jobs...only interesting thing is that Disney has stated they will now move entirely to a licensing based model for videogames.

Disney...is looking to license their properties again. Just let that one sit in the back of your mind Marvel fans.

Disney also wants to make money. They'll look at sfv sales once, laugh then move on

Too bad Capcom and the Marvel community as a whole are broke.

Something like DC vs Marvel as a NRS game doesn't make sense. If Disney wants pure money, than something like Mickey as DLC for Smash NX does.

That is Avalanche Software. Not studios that made the Just Cause series.
