Well you would be old enough to know that first hand I guess.
One of the greatest fighting game modes of all time. Absolutely riveting stuff. The RNG on the power ups keep you on edge, what brilliant game design in a fighting game!
Only way it could've been better if they added a Nightmare difficulty where we could play up to 1000 matches against AI that could read all of your inputs!

Hmmm...you know if Riot games has Radiant Entertainment doing a fighting game using their League of Legends cast but also using the same free to play with continuing content design that Rising Thunder had it'd be one helluva long term and potentially enormous fighter. LoL has like 100 characters and a lot of really interesting stuff in how you build and equip them per match. I could see designing a fighter around equipment and character builds. It'd pretty much be Rising Thunder's moveset loadouts coupled with a seperate equipment loadout thing that does similar.
I like the potential this would have for players. It'd be interesting to see how they interpret folks like Malzahar into a fighting game. For that matter any of the support specialists that heal or use moves that silence players. Maybe a fighter with status effects like P4A?
Here's hoping this is what Rising Thunder died for. It'd be pretty huge and it'd potentially give LoL fans of certain mid to low tier characters a new outlet where those characters could become more prominent.

i got a blu-ray set of restored Gatchaman episodes and it's night and day from the old SD broadcast quality. obviously the stuff still wasn't 35mm film or studio budget but it's much easier to see the quality of it.

I need to do this sometime. I never saw it without the terrible dub. Would really enjoy trying to see the show for the first time in subs. I hardly remember anything about it other than Joe being a total hardass.

Gatchaman is fine on Hulu.
i'd assume they're using the same assets as the remaster
it ain't shakespeare but it's fun and i like watching it. Joe still just wants to fire those bird missiles.
the new show Gatchaman Crowds is actually better and Joe is awesome there; fun thing is that Ken's voice actor does the voice of JJ in that show
