I'm getting eager to try out some of the new cast in Injustice 2. Swamp Thing especially. His trait makes the ground into a sacred garden and any opponents in the garden cannot dash or jump. Plus he has grabs from all ranges that when MB do insane damage plus grabs that heal him.Plus full screen go behind grabs and combos with built in high low clones popping up and on top of that his GTFO branch explosion thing leads to combo. Trait goes away on hit and vines are punishable but he looks like he has armor break tools too.

This character looks absolutely fun for lab work and patient play. I'm betting folks could easily with those MB vine grabs make combos in the 50%s opening week without having to get too swaggy.

I think Capcom screwed up on the listing...neither Deniz or Chris (the two main runners of NWM) have been told that NWM is a CPT event.

I think I saw NWM listed on Twitter as a ranking event like 3 weeks ago when West Coast Warzone was announced as a ranking event as well.

Which is worrisome, because they told us that NWM is not, and that we may get an event later in the year in the region. (Maybe CPT NA Finals again?) I'm worried they just slotted that later event in as "North West Majors" without realizing that NWM is a different event.

Heh we went ahead and announced Northwest Majors 2 for Sept 30th lol. Just so we can stop the confusion about the April NWM and the CPT event being different. Now we just have to get a hold of someone at Capcom and get them to change the name so we can change our name to whatever we actually want to call the event.

Finally got a good look at this. This is probably the best change coming into the new season. Finishing towards the bottom of top 8 at EVO or a Premier Event actually matters now. No longer can we joke about finishing 7th in a 5k(it'll probably be 3k at this EVO though) tournament getting less than the winner of a 20 man ranking event.

Winning the big tournaments matter more than ever now. You can't just rely on sniping ranking events, although that'll still be a factor. I also like how they got rid of top 2 in every region automatically getting a spot. I think it should go to the best players instead of worrying about trying to find representatives from around the whole world.
