Really impressed by Upa... But Combo is on another level!
I would love to see him try someone else out in Joe's place. As an anchor, he's just not doing enough work against teams he can't zone.

Nah was still going, it's a bit rough when you have paying 'subscribers'!
Another stream, another shitty mvc fest with no AE, but to be frank I'm finding US - SF to be boring to watch anyways so maybe I didn't lose out on anything. I'd rather just listen in to the marvel commentary with the window minimized so I don't have to get seizures. Hype.

Pretty much in the same boat, besides Krone/Latif nobody plays the game anymore and it shows.
Here's hoping the US picks it up when it's closer to EVO (or they'll all just play SFxT with Marvel)

But you would think that if they entered a tournament that would require international travel that they would have applied for a passport ahead of time. Even if they applied after winning they may not have gotten them in time for the trip to Korea.

I caught the rest of the archives this morning. Went to sleep sometime around top 8 I think. Random thoughts:
- It's nice to see people using spiderman, but it looks like his only move in the game is "getting killed." It doesn't matter how swag Dickwin's spiderman combos are if he can't keep spidey alive long enough to do one.
- Props to RoyalFlush making it so far using unpopular characters. Joe does seem to be a poor anchor, but he does some fun stuff with the bomb assist. Also, was Flush picking the danger room stage on purpose to camouflage his bombs?
- The character variety is HUGE compared to what we see on the east coast.
- How come no one does any zoning at WNF, when it seems so dominant at Next Level? Is it because no one has bothered to take zoning seriously, or because west coast players have some sort of anti-zoning tech that I'm not seeing?
- Did TastySteve move to socal? I thought he lived in the midwest.
- I fucking told you guys that TastySteve has outstanding match analysis. People just didn't notice it before because it was drowned out by all his jokes and catchphrases. Now that he's toned that down, he's a very good commentator.
- I heard someone mention that WNF will be alternating Marvel and AE on the stream each week. Is this true?
- WNF still needs more hype to catch up to east coast streams in entertainment value. They should look into setting up a mic for crowd noise. Comebacks and swag combos are even more entertaining if you can hear the crowd reactions.
- Did MegamanSteve suddenly become the best Zero player? There were a couple very good Zeros on WNF last night, but neither impressed as much as MegamanSteve.
