Clearly we're getting a Marvel patch and a Ridley announcement. ;-)
It's the new game, so I'm cool with that. I think a combination of what's new and what's popular should get the most screen time, but other games should always at least get their top 8 on stream for the fans throughout the world.Well, USF4 have 14 hours on the Friday, so.....

If there was a slot for it on the schedule then that would pretty much ruin the surprise no?
Its not like they need much time, a minute long trailer or whatever before the Top 8 is all that's needed really.
Still probably not going to happen but I wouldn't look at the schedule for hints.
So Dan Fornace, the former lead designer on Killer Instinct S1, just announced his new indie effort. Rivals of Aether, a Smash Bros styled game that's actually 100% intended to be a competitive fighter. There's already an announcement trailer on the site that reveals the first two characters.
I'm so intrigued/excited by the idea that I already made a thread for it.

Lol, I know that it could be anything much like how KI was presented last year right after Injustice (or was it before Injustice? I forget when it was shown off). BUT, prog's teasing about this really makes me think they've gotta be showing something. (He teased the way he usually does on Twitter, using the Iori laughter youtube vid).

That fighting game guide came out at the perfect time, EVO always gets my friends attention but then they try to play a fighter and quit shortly after, now I can just hand them that book and hopefully they stick around.

Marvel, not matter if its pools or finals is always exciting.
Street Fighter is exciting when you see top 32 on and some of the pools of death.
KOF is hype top 8 and great GFs.
KI looks the same to me from pools to GF
Smash is exciting 32 on.
I have no idea what I am watching in BB. Same for Persona (though I did have fun with that game)
Tekken top 8 is amazing.
Kinda wish they did a tournament of legends for MvC2.

The amazing thing about aMSa is how much technical skill he has over things that are completely specific to his character. Yoshi plays so much differently from everyone else in the game that he was basically unpaved territory.

Basically, whenever prog tends to tease something he knows that the community doesn't and it's hype/good for the community, he is cryptic. And sometimes, he doesn't even give any hints. This was one of those times where he just responded to when D1 tweeted about Nintendo sponsoring EVO with this video (he uses this video a lot with his teasing, as well):

Read the string of Tweets before his and it'll make sense.
Sometimes though when prog teases something it can be disappointing but I don't think this would be one of those times -- if it were I'd assume he wouldn't say anything at all.

He's leveled up over the course of the game this past year and was able to beat other top KOF players and take tournaments. I think someone in thread stated that Tokido just has overall better fundamentals, but it's really hard to say if he's better or not. Him winning KOF at EVO is hard to say as well, seeing as how in almost all of the tournaments he's been in, he's been sent to losers bracket as well as clutching out grand finals sets 3-2, his wins aren't definitely free. I'd imagine with the dominant scene Korea has, CafeID crew is probably planning counter strategies for Tokido, who has also started adopting new characters himself. Regardless if KOF is a Saturday final, I think it'll still be pretty entertaining like the last years.

Definitely needs a thread of its own, with EVO coming this week, there will be so many new players and people interested getting into fighters that could benefit from it.
