That leak is likely fake and even if real, a Marvel and Microsoft collaboration doesn't instantly imply MvC4. However, if true, I would have to buy an Xbone. Rise of the Tomb Raider, Scalebound, Killer Instinct, and MvC4 would be enough exclusives to get me to shift to Microsoft for the first time ever. I only use Microsoft PC OSs and have not been much interested in their gaming division......ever. Bought a vanilla Xbox and returned it a week later. Vast majority of Xbox IPs have been boring/stale/uninteresting for me. I think after all these years, the only exclusive on 360 that interests me is actually Tales of Vesperia, lol.

Eh. I'd buy it for that and KI. I follow the games and not the consoles. Eventually it became a decent enough console. Not the biggest and baddest but I believe more in Gameplay than in graphics so "the feel of 1080p" don't mean much to me so long as "the game fucking works" is happening. If they got exclusives that I want I'll buy it.

MVC4...yeah I'd be down. I'd brace myself for balance impact though. UMVC3 hurt pretty quickly in that respect and I dumped it. However, I am in bad need of tag fighters with that style of play. Here's hoping for MVC4 they go back to TvC and base its gameplay more heavily on it's mechanics. Hell just think of what happens to Mahvel if you even kept something like Megacrashes regardless of how the meter setup is done. How many loop based folks would that make survivable? How many reset team based strategies and character pairings would that make more interesting?

Any vs with more from TvC is all I ask. If its Marvel 4 then pls do this. Its all I ask no matter who is in or how they play.

EDIT: And if it is Marvel 4 I hope this means we get to see further evolution on Yatterman-1's moveset by it being retreaded in Daredevil who I know is now important enough to warrant a slot given his Netflix series popularity.

MvC3 provided Trish. Best new fighting game character for the last console generation. Though I have my share of woes with MvC3, that's the only reason I need to love it. I don't know if I'll ever get a character like that again. So much agility and power rush and trap setting.

I don't want to get too knee deep in this MvC4 discussion because that list is obviously fake.

All I want is for them to redo the TAC system and make XF like Instinct mode where the bonuses are specialized to the character. They can keep the cancel aspect of it along the other universal bonuses (take no chip when in XF). The rest is a matter of balancing, cleaning up the hitboxes/hitstops/damage scaling and designing characters to be both usable points and supports.

I really don't want any more mechanics... game has enough mechanics as is with all the team based mechanics you have to learn. Only one I am fine with is Custom assists. Enzo can fight with me on this and I wouldn't give a single fuck.

I'd say we will see something Marvel at E3 but the likelihood of MVC4 is rather low. However, there does seem to be just enough going on right now to warrant it as a possibility.

• Microsoft needs an exclusive to hold the FGC and KI, while impressive isn't holding up the recognition they had hoped for. Microsoft has the cash to get the license and hire Capcom .
• Disney has mentioned in the past they are open to licensing the Marvel stuff to out of house studios and have recently done so.
• Marvel is lacking in console titles having made their main focus mobile, freemium and other such PC/Portable sort of ventures...that leaves a market void on console that they are pressed to fill.
• Injustice was a large gaming commercial and comic book success story winning multiple awards for BOTH. Venturing back into the FGC with Marvel makes sense at this point to compete with WB and their stuff. Using MVC4 if Microsoft wished to put up the right funds for it would make more sense than going with a new series given its popularity and track record.
• Capcom has shown with its comic book success in crossovers with Megaman/Sega recently that they make a splash in comics with crossovers at a low investment. While it may not win awards as Injustice did this is a very low talent investment required method of them getting comic book success out of a Marvel fighting game without having to expend their writing talents on a game related project. Low investment for track record proven profit is appealing to any business. Granted that the comic is through Archie comics, but it proves the model for how it can be done with low overhead being one that works with Capcom's franchises.
• Capcom has very profitable characters in terms of merchandising. By arranging for another vs title the cross promotional potential of markets in terms of merchandise could appeal to Disney.

Due to all of that I can't really rule it out. If it got announced, it would just make sense at this time from a business standpoint. Especially to capitalize off of the films. I could easily see Hulkbuster , which is being thrust hard across all their games right now, being something they are eager to insert into an MVC4 poster vs Sentinel.

Makes sense. SEGA doesn't give a fuck about the core gamer anymore, they've been dragging their most iconic IP through the mud for years, etc. Why not partner up with Capcom?

If that rumor were true I'd say that Sony chose poorly when picking Capcom fighting game IP to fund and I'd also sweat bullets because Capcom might be dumb enough to let MS get full console exclusivity or windows 10 store exclusivity for the PC port.

I hope MvC4 is it's own thing, and not really MvC3.5, because they had their chance to do that and to some extent did. In the way that X-Factor/TACs defined the gameplay in MvC3, I want MvC4 to have it's own mechanic that guides the flow of combat.

Dahbomb, you can have your custom assists or whatever so long as no bullshit ass combo breaker mechanics make it in. I'll take almost any concession to guarantee that doesn't happen. Mechanics that compensate for other problematic mechanics just creates mechanic bloat. Sharper HSD and removing exceptions to HSD solve that and more.

I just saw the leaked list this is derived from, I really don't believe it now. There are some things on that list that I know personally are 100% false. I will still keep a small glimmer of hope burning for E3 though.
