Fighting Games Weekly | June 29 - Jul 5 | Frauds Among U.S.

Bananaken is a random US Player and Yoshige is an average Millia, don't worry
Two of those go by "You're not making it out of your pool in Winners" and another as "You're not making it out of your pool in Losers either". (aka only Woshige and Bananaken ring a bell)
Woshige is the player who won KSB, considered possibly best Millia in the world.
BKen is a pretty good Elphelt, but he more or less abandoned the game. He'll still kill most people.
Uh oh.
Woshige is a world class Millia and Bananaken is more or less the US' best Persona player, an Elphelt main in GG.
Thanks guys! Welp... :'(

EDIT: On sudoku watch on Xrd, lol

If there's no actual conflict with playing someone you play against regularly, the procedure is "suck it up"

Good thing I haven't played Xrd in months I guess!
and I didn't play the game that much to begin with

I would love to register to play sm4sh(just for fun), anyone knows if there will be a late registration available? Thanks in advance!

It's pretty bad. Domi and Doonpa both are killers and will almost definitely make it out of that pool of things stick (which they probably won't, but…?)

dunno anybody in your Xrd bracker

Doonpa is the best US Naoto and Minazuki player, Domi is one of the top 2 Akihikos in Japan.

Well at least I wouldn't have to play them until winners finals or probably losers quarters but lol at me not going 0-2 in this game.

i have a question re brackets. if you make it out of pools, are you already in top 256? i'm assuming they're running 128 brackets for pools.

I played a 2 bar connection in a P4AU lobby last night and it felt really solid. Does anyone know what ping that correlates to?

I remember when P4A launched people were upset about the netcode, I think it got a week-1 patch that fixed it up though. I always thought it was good, the fight intros would regularly slow down to a crawl but once the match started it usually wasn't bad. And when it was good it was great.

best guess is between 60-100ish. Most 2 bars are playable with the caveat of goofy things can happen due to delay.

P4A netcode is p good, what makes it /seem/ better than it actually is, is that the game has large amounts of hitstun or generous hitboxes on certain things, and the combo paths aren't strict.

I think the game goes through a calibration during the intro to optimize the delay and such, if it goes slow I think it just needs extra time to optimize itself. That's my theory.

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been around, been watching our puppy for the first two weeks so I haven't been on my computer where I'm logged in on GAF but I opted to log in now because of Evo pools going up and a certain post that was made.

So yeah I registered under sloanerisette this year instead of Smedwicks because I'm currently (about to be) transitioning! Woo! I was hoping to make a post Sunday because that's when I'm actually starting hormones but because of what was posted today I'm basically rushed to post and explain stuff.

I don't want to get too mad at Curly but yeah, just advice for everyone, please don't do that if they aren't explicitly out somewhere.

Also I registered under sloanerisette (it's a name I've been using since around Evo last year) to motivate myself to take this year for myself and start transitioning, and I've been Smedwicks since mid 2000's when I first started playing WoW, so this wasn't exactly a small decision, really.

By the time Evo rolls around I'll be about 11-12 days into hormones so there probably won't be big changes for those who met me last year, I imagine.

And please you can call me Sloane or Sloanerisette or Smedwicks that's all cool, but please use she/her pronouns, that's all I ask. Even if you don't like me all I ask is that you respect this. If you can see me and call me Smedwicks (which was the way I was addressed 90% of the time last year) then you can sure respect me as a woman.

Thanks all and can't wait to see you in a few weeks

Awesome, best of luck with the transition :)

128 pools * 16 players in each pool = 2048 players
...thanks for proving my point? The sub-1k games probably won't even have 64 pools.
Someone fucked up on this pool. That pool also has FrankieG, Mixup, Dr Salt and Marvelo in it.

Like what in the fuck.... how does that happen with so many pools? There are some pools with only one known player in it while this one has 5 and 3 of them are from Florida.
It's preliminary for a reason :P
