Fighting Games Weekly | March 11-17 | $1100 per room? I could build a house for $500

I definitely prefer patches that come every 3-4 months rather than once a year. Small incremental changes > huge laundry list that changes everything at once (e.g. AE2012), obviously either would be welcome rather than be stuck with something broken.

Its pointless though since like someone else said, its not gonna happen so long as platform holders setup up services fees, QA requirements and long process to get up a patch, getting one once per year would be lucky.

Now that it's Tekken-talk-time... MARKMAN! Where are you!? We have yet to do battle. At least accept my friend request :(

Here's some outtakes from the IFL - Anakin (who's usually behind the mic) actually plays some matches with self-commentary, telling the stream why he's in said players head. Pretty hilarious. Good thing I had this stuff to fill in the time between Season 1 and 2. It's actually pretty insightful besides the trolling, you can see some interrupts between strings that newer players might not know, etc.

Can't wait for Final Round Tekken, pretty stoked that it's only a few weeks away.

Can't wait for Final Round too. The heavy hitters that might dethrone Anakin are Fab/GM/KOR/Inkog. Should be exciting to see who's leveled up the most! But alas, Ao is coming from Japan so he is the favorite to win. Can't wait.

I would also love to see a FT5 or something between Speedkicks and RunitBlack. Award for the best newcomer to scene.

Results of the Street Fighter poll will be announced at the PAX East panel. Possible correlation with new product announcement?

You know what would be cool is if they took the top voted characters and included them as SF representatives in Fighters of Capcom.

Aaaaaand one more reason to be annoyed my flight doesn't get in early enough for the panel. But at $150 a ticket to change, I can't justify $300 just to see that. :/

Fighters of Capcom. Capcom's first Free to Play fighting game? I don't care if I can buy Donovan, Frank and Asura.

That would be cool, but I thought Ono wasn't going to be there? Like people said, it would make the most sense for them to announce a fighting game with Ono there...

...Unless Haunts and Capcombofiend are going to unveil Street Fighter 5 to the WHOLE WORLD

This would be pretty awesome. Put it on Steam with Steamworks and dedicate a team to it for all the F2P goodies and I'd be there.

You crushed my hopes with the first paragraph and then revived them with the second. That'd be pretty cool if haunts and Combo announced the next fighting game. I could totally see that happening, but maybe not the next SF.

Combofiend announcing a Capcom fighting game would probably be hype as hell, I could imagine him getting the crowd excited super easily-- and feeling safe and secure about it too.

Yamcha's actually a half decent character in B3 thanks to all of the cancel shenanigans he can pull with Wolf Fang Fist.

He's generally considered to be Top Tier in Infinite World too, at least he was last time I took a look at the tier lists thrown around for that

From the brief time I played B3 "hardcore" I remember omega shenron and piccolo being the best characters in the game. I mained goku and abused comboing off all his transformations. Piccolo had dhalsim-like normals and was a bitch to play against. Hercule was the Sean of B3 and small characters krillin had annoying hit boxes.

Yeah, Dabura, Piccolo, Omega Shenron and Cell are generally considered the best B3 characters. Dabura and Piccolo mostly for their godlike zoning, Omega Shenron for his ridiculous damage output and the highest baseline Ki in the game, and Cell is just a pretty ridiculous character in general.

Players don't want to have to deal with patches changing things constantly - MK9 did that and it drove the players nuts constantly having to re-learn things.

It's similar reasoning (in the opposite direction) of why trying to balance Legacy titles like SF2 is a mistake.

This isn't my Dragon Ball Z! No top tier *Future* Trunks? SSJ2 Gohan? Fuck outta here! :lol

Either him or Videl.

...this makes a lot of sense actually.

Oh yeah, Bardock is easily top, too. Stupid damage and hilarious juggle strings.

As mains of those two characters in particular, I take pride in them at least being high tier!

Fuck.

Someone teach me how to play.

I have infinite world but stop playing after getting pissed off from the single player. I don't think I have all the characters because of that though.

Hey remember unlocking characters?

I don't remember videl being that good. I think sword trunks was really good. Kid buu too.

I really wanted to get in to super DBZ for ps2. Never got to play it though.

Yeah, Infinite World's notorious for having way harder AI than most of the other Budokai games.

These videos make for a good starter guide, though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9QhUwa9tEk

This, too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxJPJ8mPkpY

The canceling stuff pretty much applies to every Budokai game. Once you get canceling down, Infinite World gets a lot easier.
