Fujin and Sarena don't have character models. They are just in CGI cutscenes. It would be Sindel instead of those two.

But that's only 3 characters, they'll need a 4th one, one who they already have a 3D model of some kind internally, ones they went through the effort of giving new character designs. After all, every in game character has a CG caliber sculpt that they make the normal maps from, and the time since the game went gold is plenty of time for them to retopologize a realtime model from it.

...I just really want Fujin, okay.
 
Just to give my impressions. Been playing ultra ps4 for a little bit. Menus hella laggy. Online feels like ps3, which was always bad for me. And the audio is weird, sounds going in and out, weird volume levels. Almost like when sfxtk launched. I'm very disappointed to say the least.

+r has shitty online but you should still play that game in some fashion cuz its amazing and way better than xrd.

It's a shame tho cuz if this had decent netcode it woould extend the life of a great game quite a bit.

I agree, but I think I'm gonna avoid playing it for a couple of weeks or half a dozen patches. Games with this much pedigree really deserve better. Folks bitching about how MvC:O and Vampire Resurrection were handled have no idea how good they have it.

It extends sales too. SG is one of the best selling fighters on steam and as a significantly smaller IP having the best online experience is worth every cent on a platform where games have long tails.
 
Thinking about getting a HORI Real Arcade Pro 4 Kai tomorrow and I've noticed that it doesn't have a mic jack. Does anyone know if I can I just leave my ps4 controller turned on with the mic connected and use that?

I honestly believe that the success of Skullgirls and Killer Instinct, despite all of negatives that went against both releases, it a really good argument for developing top-flight online play. Where would both of those communities be if the games online play was as bad as MvC3s?

I mean, seriously. Ultra as a product is made of shit, shoestring, slop and some bubblegum remains scraped from the streets. Yet somehow that sickening pile of incompetence is the flagship game of the genre. Budget ports from SNK have their act together better, ffs.

Good Lord...MKX on PC was bad but I think this tops the bullshit I went through with just framerate issues and stuttering. At least audio was loading from the correct memory locations and things were only slowing down due to poor optimization. The effects in this game are just straight up broken. I couldn't even make a guess as to how in the hell Guile's sonicboom did that or why Juri is making with the strobe stuff.

I don't even know if this is mendable...especially before EVO.

You should know better than to buy anything SF4 related Day 1. The AE engine is already a mess of bad engineering and misset data, and Ultra was made on a shoestring and bubblegum budget and it showed. What made you think a port onto a differently-engineered platform would fare any better?

Sorry, I'm not a fan of SF4 and that was dickish to even joke about. I actually hope it gets fixed and folks can get what they paid for and get to enjoy what they like even if its a game I just dont connect with. I don't care what someone is into. If they paid for it then it should by God work. Games coming out completely broken like this are really becoming more the norm than the exception and that is TERRIBLE for the industry as a whole. This stuff happening repeatedly just trains the public to stop supporting games at launch further deepening the difficulties in have successful launches and profitable games.

I actually just hope it burns down in a fire. Ain't no other way for the customers and the devs/publishers to learn. Buying this stuff just rewards incompetence, sloppiness and all around undesirable business practices.

Go to SRK and go to the misset data thread and weep. SF4 has silly things that have been known since vanilla/super still in it. Stuff that's a couple lines to fix, and this was with Dimps who built the sorry mess of an engine and actually knew how to do anything with it, unlike these third party teams.

Yup. As you should already know, criticism of anything is forbidden nowadays because things will get better, even if they won't.

In all seriousness, though: I'd actually really like an option toggle for those mostly-invisible fireballs.

I really don't regret my decision to skip out on the new consoles. If SF5 actually runs competently on PC, I don't think I'll have a single reason to change that, either.

Is this stuff just happening in training/challenge mode? I know there's sound bugs in the main game with animal costumes, but I've not seen the big show-stopping bugs like this recorded in an actual match yet. Inexcusable either way, but slight hope that just that mode got neglected.

If a bug like that that solely deals with fucked up move properties happens in training mode, it's going to happen in a real match under similar conditions.

Like Decapre's much slower teleport, there are probably a lot of other random shit that has been altered in the porting process that we don't know about yet too.

Edit: LOOOOL, Juri gets invisible fireballs too!

Heard Dekappa's change is actually the teleport not visually representing her properly.

She's actually like 0.4 training squares ahead of where she looks.

In other words, mixup city!
