get some go again
Final tooth pulling today, can't wait. Only downside is it's my Bday today so I'm not going to be able to celebrate it with friends as I'll be in agony laying in bed the rest of the day :D

Speaking of noteeth ok foods I had pea soup with avocado in it today. It was nice but kinda strange. We usually eat pea soup with mustard here but felt like that wouldn't fit. Thankfully it was spiced with black pepper and a bit of chili. Still, weirdd.

Where's here? My dad side of the family (Chile) makes pea soup a lot, never liked it (although they don't put avocado in it). Their idea of lentil soup is really similar, which I also don't like.

Finland. The local pea soup is typically made of peas and ham or smoked pork and is quite thick. Sometimes contains onion and/or carrots but esp. carrots are really rare in my experience. Seasoned with pepper, marjoram and mustard.

So who you intending to main or frequent in Smash 4 Q? I'm eager to know.

Also for fun take Yoshi into multiman brawl and eat the giant characters that appear. Theres a glitch that makes them get BIGGER every time you eat them. I wanna see if I can eat folks multiple times after they get a mushroom to cause the same thing.

Been hyped to play Greninja since he was announced. Also interested in pikachu and bowser

From what I've seen Greninja is a really offensive guy, but hard to KO with due to low knockback. He lacks kill moves. However his mobility is such he can play extremely well off stage to trap you too far from the ledge so he is a gimpinator. Pikachu and Bowser look pretty sick. Especially Bowser.

I'm looking to go in with Little Mac, Ganondorf (my eternal main), and Megaman. The 1fow1 stream has a lot of info and Q and A stuff.

I can see Kimo's point but I think its actually one of the worst things that tournament players unconsiously do. Like for the bigger games they naturally have their community built up, strong players emerge, tournaments have interesting finals and there's a period of time where people care about who the best players are. And you have a chance to get to the top while the game is still relevant. But while I like SF4 and still play a lot, I really don't think it should be where it is at tournaments as a main event.

With some games you can just tell its not gonna happen and they won't be close to the top spot, so if you're competitive and dont want to be a big fish in a small pond, you can tell which games are a waste of time. But there's some that should be way more popular than they are, and for me thats pretty frustrating to see. Like I think Marvel should've been way more popular in Aus and Tekken should've been way more popular in the US.

The reason why I say this, is that the worst possible thing that could happen to the "FGC" is rejecting Capcom's next game and sticking with SF4. And I actually think there's a good chance that this will happen. That's why their next fighter shouldn't be SF5, it should be Capcom Allstars and play like Marvel because I think that game won't be rejected. But... Dimps is working on the next fighter so I think there's a high chance we're going to see another SFxT. And considering that, imo its probably better to move on to Xrd (series) or something else that looks like it could have a better future.

Because the last time I made a post in regards to the support of niche FG communities, it was regarding UNIEL. You said I was "part of the problem", when I stated I wouldn't put time into the game, despite enjoying it, because I expected my local scene to drop it when P4U dropped (They did).
I still stand by my opinion you are contributing to that self-fulfiling prophecy. As you said now, if there's another game you enjoy, the high volume scene gets your time since it has higher chance for longevity.

was watching a friend play on a japanese 3ds with smash and man does it look pretty on an XL. plus falcon is hilarious to play with, i didnt see too much but apparently he has a few more auto cancels than the rest of the cast if i saw correctly... the only move i know that has auto cancel is his up air which is unfair, that range!

I think his up air range isn't that great in this game? Definitely not Melee status at least.

Bair also auto cancels iirc.

What?

Breh.

Up-Smash. What's more, Greninja isn't someone who is going to smack you around with Little Mac-esque brute force. He sets and softens you up for lightning fast finishes with Shadow Sneak, Substitute counters and (really) any of his aerials after a certain point. It's like Marvel 3 Strider, lots of movement then he gets a surprise crack factor hit and GGs.

Edit: Actually you're saying as much in that post, but I was just taken aback for a bit at the notion that Greninja has no KO moves.

And since we're talking mains, as of now, I'm trying to work to a three character squad but I'm probably going to dabble in everyone at this rate. Marth & Pit are locks coming in from Brawl/Project M but Zero Suit Samus, Greninja, Palutena and Rosalina (especially her) look amazing.

This was mine

I'll concentrate on maybe 3-4 and swap things around. Marth will always be a main, and Ness looks promising.

Can't say no to Palutena since she was my most wanted. Plus those other custom moves.

My smash main would either be my Melee mains (Shiek) or Brawl mains (Kirby, Ness). Gonna try the new characters though.

I'm going to be rolling with Lucario and Toon Link like I did in Brawl. RIP Pokemon Trainer :( I want to use Mii Swordfighter as well but I really felt they could've been less lazy with the custom moves...

I'll probably mainly use Samus, Wii Fit Trainer, and Ganondorf. Samus and Ganondorf aren't looking too great though. : <

I'm going to be totally honest with you: I don't understand the point of this post. Not trying to be a dick. I read it a few times, and I'm totally missing the crux. Could you reiterate it more succinctly, please?

I still stand by my opinion you are contributing to that self-fulfiling prophecy. As you said now, if there's another game you enjoy, the high volume scene gets your time since it has higher chance for longevity.

As I implied in my larger post; I don't disagree I'm part of the problem. But seeing as how me, or people that think like me, have no moral obligation to apply any vital force to address it; to state succinctly and simply "You're part of the problem" as though the burden of responsibility should lie with me, is disingenuous at best. Just like all self-fulfilling prophecies; the problem is obviously more systemic. There's a lot of games, a lot of content and relatively few players interested in consuming it all, I think. I think we should start there.

Oh, I keep forgetting I made one of those.

Meanwhile Rhapsody, what's your custom Palu going to look like? I'm thinking Autoreticle, Jump Glide, Angelic Missile and Counter for me.

Explosive Flame, Super Speed, Jump Glide, and Celestial Firework.

I think Super Speed and Jump Glide add so much for her.

Explosive Flame's just ok. I don't like any of her neutral B's too much. This is probably my favorite moveset for her at the moment.

Playing Sheik/Greninja/Wario as my serious characters.

But its smash, so I'll probably mess around with the whole cast at some point lol.

Happy birthday Q.

For Palutena I like:
B: default (Auto Reticle)
Side B: default (Reflect Barrier)
Up B: variation 3 (Jump Glide)
Down B: variation 2 (Lightweight)

Up/Down B makes her feel like a Marvel/anime character with fast movement and air dash approaches, while B and Side B still lets me play her really lame to rack up percent.

I'm probably playing Jigglypuff like a real man in Smash 4.

And anyone else who seems fun.

RED FIGHT DISTRICT 3 IS NEXT WEEKEND. :O

I know there are people on GAF heading to RFD next weekend. I'm in hostels all weekend, but I know the value of a good hotel session/meetup, if anyone's thinking of anything. I remember the nuts one at IVGC which had about twenty people packed into one aparthotel room with six setup, with half of the EU Gods in attendance.

RFD is gonna be hype. :)

Right now I've mostly been messing with
Ness, Little Mac, Duck Hunt, Megaman, Lucina, Pacman, Bowser Jr, Pit, Jigglypuff, Villager

Robin I'm going to wait for the Wii U version to come out, he's really fun but very precise...feel like I need C Stick for him/her.

I'll likely stick with a main and a few secondaries for counterpicking, but we'll see.

Only characters I'm really feeling at this point is Sheik, MK, Bowser and Kirby. I think I'll get a hang of some of the other characters when I can use a Gamecube controller to play them.

All I need is Sheik to body everyone on GAF, though.
