Fighting Games Weekly | Sept 8-14 | Fining Nemo

The fact that Krone made finals of a major within the past year or so means he's still relevant as a player, even if he hates the game. It's no worse then PR Rog being relevant in Marvel.
 
Looks like we're down to a likelihood of 4 unspoiled Smash characters- the Mii Fighters were missing on the leaked screen. (They either don't appear in all modes, or you don't see them unless you've customized them beforehand.)

I wish this hamayama guy would set it 1v1, 1 stock and just run off the side a bunch of times so we could get some unlocks before next year.

I welcome any new characters. Those 2 make plenty of sense. As a guest character pacman was the first really iconic game character. And duck hunt is part of Nintendo's starting video game legacy

can't believe that. pacman is a character i've wanted in smash for a long ass time. duck hunt is by far my fav surprise. only wish we could also get bomberman and dig dug.

Plus, Duck Hunt Dog is considered a villain on par with Bowser according to Nintendo's old commercials.

New smash roster is kinda underwhelming to me tbh. Didn't have high hopes anyway.

Some really good choices tho, followed by BLVCK PVT.

Excited for; Dr. Mario, Marth, Ike, Shulk, Little Mac, and those other FE chars

There is so much good content that's either never coming west or not for a long time. And you can learn some basic kana skills in 3-6 hours that makes it much easier.
 
To me, it's the best roster of all times! So many iconic characters, so many classic 2d characters, I mean, who would thought Megaman, Mario, Sonic, Little Mac, Pac-Man, Mr. Game and Watch and Duck Hunt Dog would ever be in the same game? Who would thought Megaman would be in a game again?

considering the Marvel is stale and SF4 is super old, the new Smash Brothers looks like it could take over the fighting scene.

These 1 touch kill possibilities are amazing, its like when UMVC3 came out and capcom had promised you wouldn't be able to TOD anyone.

Since it's only about characters, I'm guessing it's some of the old 'WELL SINCE THEY INCLUDED ___,NOW ____ ISN'T IN THE GAME!!'

WASTE OF A SLOT, NOT A REAL CHARACTER, etc etc


This game owes me everything I want or I riot people get on my damn nerves
 
Smash Bros has has enough sequels at this point that I'm happy with any roster changes they make. I'd actually be okay if they switched it up more.

I don't see Smash 4 taking over the scene because the other Smash games haven't done so despite having larger turnouts. Plus much of the fighting game scene is still segregated from the Smash scene.

I do expect to see Smash 4 at more events with fighting games since it will be easier to run on a modern console without having to deal with CRTs, but ultimately it will depend on how well the game does competitively.
