I'm assuming my sweet Himeji Castle is getting delayed, too. So I still have Nanami, Sorey, She-Hulk bishoujo and Alter's Asuka re-issue for this month.

So I've been looking into 1:6 scale figures again. Its been a while since I looked into that part of figure collecting since I've mostly been about anime/video game figures these days.
So looking at the newer 1:6 scale figures out on the market and the ones I missed, there's a company called Phicen that focuses on female figures. They have a series of figures called Steel Series that covers up the joints on the ankle, knee, elbows and shoulders. Its pretty cool. A very poseable action figure that covers up joints is like the next evolution of figures.
Here's the thing, those jointless figures have sculpted vagina on them. I guess that's nothing unusual or crazy to me since there's a selection of lewd ass figures with exposed genitals on Amiami. I looked into this company's products some more and they're releasing 2 figures of porn stars later this year. One is of a classic porn star Seka. The other is of a transgender porn star Sarina Valentina. Since their female figures have sculpted vagina, I looked in to the Sarina Valentina figure, and she does indeed have a sculpted penis. Would be a major cop out if they didn't put it on the figure in my opinion.
The 1:6 figure forum I visit, they're not as cool as you guys, are largely disgusted and weirded out by it but seem to have no issues with figures with vagina. So Figure Gaf, what's your opinion on genitals on figures?

Its Flare's first release so It'll probably take the tradition of being delayed lol I originally had 4 figures in my April order now Im down to 2 and I'm sure my giant Kirino will be delayed as the first 2.5 figure they made was delayed so I'll be let with a bunch of random goods lol
and speaking of danganronpa and flare, I didn't know Flare was making a Kyoko figure. I'll have to add it to my watch list.

Depends on how it's done. If it fits the style of the figure more power to it. This thread lost its shit, in a good way, when there was a figure that came with a bunch of flying penises.
Speaking of which did anybody preorder that?
I don't really care since most bjd's have sculpted anatomy anyway (although it doesn't necessarily look graphic since some people don't use blushing on those parts).
Do you own any doll/figures from Phicen? I hear the silicon skin is really thin at the joints (especially if you get the metal skeleton)

I don't. I was thinking on ordering one since I want to kit bash more female modern warriors, so I looked into their line.

I know some of the Native / Skytube figures have sculpted genitalia. I don't find it weird, though I personally would never display them in the nude.
I don't know if you've seen this in your research travels but here's a review of just a basic set. The review might not be applicable to the ones with the plastic skeleton though.

Thanks for the link. I hope the skin is tough. That tear would piss/freak me out if I had one of those.
I think the next thing they need to work on is the hair. It seems difficult to comb and they look crazy.

I guess it would depend on how far you want to get into customization, but you could always reroot the hair with a better quality fiber. :s

I think Barnes & Noble is getting rid of some of their Gundam kits. That may be where the 50% off is. B&N clearance sales generally hit 75% off after a few weeks, then $2.00 near the end when all the good shit is usually gone.
I got a DC Comics Death Absolute Edition at one of those for $25 once.
I've never even seen Gunpla at B&N. There's a shop kinda near me that has a good selection but their prices are crazy. I'm hesitant to order Back-Order Gunpla too because Bandai is weird as fuck with how they produce those kits. No telling when they're actually going to make them.

Have they even shipped them ? Because re-runs of older kits sometimes take a loooong time. I've been waiting for a re-release on MG Buster and F91 like forever. I don't know where they get those numbers from on HLJ, 4-6 weeks my ass. If it's not back-ordered on amiami then there's no re-release in the works AFAIK.
Hah, that price is ridic. One day I'll have to pay it, but not now. I'm not really trying to order anything from Manda right now too. Trying to just keep everything at Ami for the time being.
Yeah, Bandai seems to create batches of older kits every once in a while. I was able to get the MG Shining and Master through HLJ for retail price because of that. Back-Order stuff is weird because it's not like Bandai makes them per order. A retailer can put in a request but there's no telling when it'll actually get filled.
Good luck finding the MG F91 though, that is such a great kit.
I'd really like to get one, but 12,9k for a smashed box and degraded gold paint sounds insane. The Haman thirst is real :/

Backstory: I work as a support worker for adults with developmental disabilities. I have a client who's a HUGE comic book fan. He has some money to spend and I've been given the green light to get him higher end collectibles (as oppose to the action figures he's got). So I've picked him up a couple of Detolfs and have been gradually filling them. So far I've picked up...
- Sideshow's 1960's Batman and Robin
- Playarts Kai Batman and Joker
- Kotobukiya's Superman for Tomorrow ArtFX
- Kotobukiya ArtFX Wonder Woman
- Kotobukiya ArtFX Avengers (all of them)
Now for the question. He needs a Spiderman piece. The Kotobukiya Spider-man Unleashed looks amazing. But finding it seems next to impossible. Any thoughts or suggestions on the "perfect" Spiderman piece?

This is a pretty cool Spiderman from Sideshow. It's still up for preorder and looks to be released in May. It's $299
Edit:
I love prize figures but I wouldn't get those personally. Just looking at the picture there is a lot of pock marks and spots where the flash was either left on the model or removed improperly.

Anyone else think the original looks better? More vibrant? Bigbadtoystore still has the original for sale. But man they both seem to pale in comparison to this...
Then I thought of maybe just getting a large bust of Spiderman instead, and then surrounding him with mini busts of some of his foes. Something like this...
With some Bowen Design villains.

I personally think the Sideshow has a better sculpt and coloring. The Kotobukiya one has the better pose though. I don't know the capabilities of your client but maybe see which one they like better.
