Personally I think we will be waiting until the Sony press conference but at that time the press will drop their fully fleshed-out KZ impressions.

aww hell, i have tuesday and thursday off, but wednesday is the one that matters. Have you tried to read the whole day of posts and news at the end of the days, its freakin' impossible

Hopefully Amirox will be around to head each major confrences thread. I read the first post in his thread and pretty much get everything I need to know.

True, but to me, the REAL fun of e3 on NG is not the news, but all the reaction to it. The insanity, the spinning, the namecalling, and oooooooh the bans. Lets not forget the obligitory 20 page build up to UBERLETDOWNTON. Its always fun.

GAF makes E3. I will watch a Sony press conference even though I only own a PS2 now just because I know the Photoshops will be good. This is why time is taken off work. So I can read disappointed comments by people who also took time off work just to see a CGI video of Afrika after a half hour build up.

Unfortunately, probably not. I work the E3 conferences days, and there's no way I'm taking off just for the show. I can make an E3 summary thread and update it every time I come back from work (approx. 4:30pm[EST] every day), but I assume that's not what you would like :(

Fine by me, I work all three days to and won't be home to read anything till about 6pm EST. I'll wait for clear and concise information.

No i'm not trying to get off the hook at all, I'm just being realistic that this year there's no way I can be as extensive and all-encompassing as I was in years past. I can take a good shot at it, but I'm just putting it out there. If enough people want me to do it, I will.
 
If the Microsoft conference is 7:30 PM (PDT?) and G4 is airing it at 8 PM *live*....is it tape delayed then? Or would they start it anyway and cut through their preview show?
 
I think it would be nice if you did it Amir0x. Sure we will have to wait a bit for the summary each day but as long as we follow the thread and what others post it should be ok in between. You're very thorough.
 
E3 conferences never start on time. G4 may just be being sensible and assuming they don't need to start until 8.

That sounds too intelligent for them though.

The thing with the press conferences is, with them being so casual in when they start and end it's probably a nightmare for TV scheduling. G4 probably could show it live because if they did it'd almost certainly result in their terrible presenters having to improv for 30 minutes until it actually begins.

Unless somebody can do the threads as well as Ami then he should do them. It's not something you go to for live updates, it's something you go to to read up on stuff you've missed. Obviously it'd be a load of work but if Amir0x does one thing right than it's super threads.

I probably won't stay up late for MS, but that'll ensure I'm able to catch all the important news from Sony and Nintendo; I'll spend the morning picking through the debris after the evening's explosions, and then settle down for an afternoon of megatons, then an evening of arguing about said megatonnage.

well, GSpot streaming says 9am for Nintendo's. 11:30 for Sony's and 8:30 for MS.

I'm just not seeing how G4 live coverage is going to be offered from any of the press conferences. Likely it'll be live commentary/clips after the fact. The times don't match up at all.

Uh...they match. Except for Sony, but on my Tivo they have 1 show block for Nintendo and Sony from 9 AM to 2 PM, so I think they'll just share that block with the two conferences whenever they start.
 
I guess that this year I'll bite again and get me some gamespot complete loving. My external hdd is going to melt next week, downloading videos full speed from the Uni connection, stack them up and off home to enjoy the ride.

Thank God for Tivo, eh? I've got about 15 hours set to tape, and I'll probably end up watching about 2 hours worth once I skip through all the bullshit 'comedy' skits, worthless opinions, techincal gaffes and endless commercial blocks (your cock's too small/ make the next great video game / girls gone wild / ninja warrior / your cock's too small). Watching that channel live takes at least 15 points off of your IQ per hour, I'm convinced.
 
guys my IGN insider is not valid any longer and I need to buy some new to be able to see the conferances.

where is the best place to watch the conferances?
 
I'm assuming G4TV will be live but will have a delay for commercials. So they wont simply cut it out in middle of a presentation.(duh I know but I've seen some people a little clueless through forum) Unless the big 3 have organized this for TV like award shows etc.
 
Nintendo better not delay their conference! I'm looking forward to theirs most but I want to see the Sony conference as well.
 
Killzone getting it's own presentation, dear God, Sony invests too much hope in this game, it's starting to get a bit pathetic.
