someone explained it on discord, 2b has 80% passive attack boosts than you equip her how you like...

a2 has stat buffs like noctis, so equipping her to take advantage of whichever she has will boost her~

10 man trials require you to find separate units with synergy anyways

So it really doesnt change the current reality. But it is easier to pair up units with known frame data synergy

Well the reality is unique to each player. If you have Aileen/Tidus or Du/DV then you don't need 2 9s for chaining purposes. It would be nice for that second set of chaining partners or if you don't have both of the above, but as you've said, we need new data, and without it 2 9s TM users won't be chaining partners anyway (unless people plan to not use dual wield). I'm sure someone on reddit will eventually either test out common units with this skill or form the data eventually though.

It just feels like another case of GL players doing the most again to me. It's always "you absolute must get this unit or you cannot play" lol. When I watched Sin V do the 10 man trial he only took 1 chaining pair and did it absolutely fine, so for me with Aileen 2 9s isn't really a need. If I get it I get it but I'm definitely not chasing it. With your luck you'll probably get 3 back to back to back again haha.

Eve's TM is actually good huh. Too bad we are entering an era of Weapon Mastery 40%ATK + 20%HP, so even if it sounds good and it's ''free'' it will get old very quick. Not bad, but not great.

The raid equipments are pretty good overall and if they don't purposely nerf the rewards, we will get 3x 4*tickets out of it.

This would be wonderful for tanks like Wilhelm, WoL, and Veritas of Earth. You're only sacrificing -10% compared to the +30% HP materia, but with a massive +110% DEF boost when you need it, and tanks will likely be triggering that boost pretty frequently.

A2's TM with that +20% DEF boost on a sword with an AOE is also pretty neat. Would go great with Wilhelm...

But it's all true. So I'm planning on just pulling for two 9S and two 210s. Once I get them I'll be done with my pulls. I really wanted to get a whole Nier crew but it's just not worth it. I'm going to be trying very hard to conserve resources from here on out. Until the change that is. I know it will be awhile but I just know it's the wisest choice.

Yeah trading 5% HP for a counter heal... 210's is better

Though HP+20% and permanent double defense could still be useful depending on the fight.

See what people dont leverage with threshold attacks is that it gives a permanent buff (as long as you dont die)

This could be a way to free up unit slots or turns if that def bonus is enough to tank hits

But most people would argue that you should just use an actual tank instead. Which... you should since physical damage can be mitgated much easier

If his TM gave a threshold bonus to SPR though..... gamechanger

But defense can be absolutely crucial depending on how much DEF you ultimately have. If you're not hitting 400-500 defense for a tank, the amount of damage you take is massive; 15% off of base HP isn't going to cover that difference.

However, the higher your defense is you're not going to really benefit as much, especially if you're already buffed with patriotic recalls. In which case, extra HP might be better.

Until Beatrix, so I am looking at it like this. If her AoE skill on the sword is actually quite a bit better than Bladeblitz I am probably going to hard pull for her. If it's not then I can live without it since I am definitely hard pulling for Beatrix regardless.

OK Sword might be the best Weapon TM we will get because when Bravely Default hits we will have free sword masteries (well almost, 40%ATK and 20%HP) from the raid gacha (as long as you pull Yun). I was able to get two of those without any refresh, too bad I don't have a powerful neutral sword >.>

Edit: But thinking about it, we might also have access to Werei's TM from the FFXI raid gacha (I wasn't playing JP at the time so I'm not sure it will drop TM moogles), so getting A2's TM or Beatrix's in the future might be equally good.

Gumi saw their users excitement and decided to find a way to profit from it, so they diluted the pool intentionally.

This is why I don't give them money and others should stop as well. When the whales change their habits, so will Gumi.

Instead they see themselves being rewarded because the whales will just spend even more because they want to collect every single unit, monetary cost be damned.

Romancing Saga and the other Saga games were released in the US (only RomaSaga remake on PS2 was released outside Japan; I even remember the NeoGaf thread from long ago). It was never popular like it was in Japan, but its a fully-owned SE IP so it shouldn't be difficult or expensive to get the banner out.

Personally, I would love for it to come to the GL, as I grew up on those games and loved them more than the FF main series, but I'm not holding my breath.

Also, yes, Onion Cutter is OK only, but its 520% 16 hit non-elemental. Meaning that two of him can hit elemental and normal chain cap, and you can basically put on required weapons to lenghten nearly any chain, the rest you can leave to finishers.

It's clear as day that this is exactly why this unit was created.

Oh you're right about Saga, for some reason I was thinking of the SD3 banner which is the one that probably won't come here. In that case I think I'm going to just get my 3 9S and out like originally planned. If I get 2B or A2 in that cool.

Probably yes, but it's aggravating for me because ive been saving and ignoring all other banners, preparing for this one because I want a 9S, so if I end up not getting one, but end up with multiple Eve's, I will be beyond livid because I would have gotten screwed by this troll addition.

He could have simply been added to the Gacha Raid if the intent was to help new players. His TM is basically the same as the other Raid Gacha unit Adam, just replaces ATK boost with DEF boost.

His TM is worse than the banner 3* for goodness sake.

Yeah, considering the fact we are going to get the Moogles from the raids its a damn fine TM. It just not BiS for anyone, but considering the lapis cost and time needed to farm that you won't have to deal with, its actually still a solid TM.

I don't really get why they create Eve to be such a bad unit (I mean his TM so bad). But as it's GUMI, they explicitly want to balance the game when JP just fuck the meta up.

So Eve is here to dilute 9S uber tier TM but it's not well done. You either have a bad TL or a very good one.

Worst is for now A2 doesn't seems to be good, let's hope it's a monster of a unit, because a lot of 2B chaser are going broke, quitting or getting A2...

Besides 9S' TM, he's exactly what I'm looking for in a unit for my AAA squad. He's got the 50% breaks which I was in dire need of. He has a water imperil perfect for Tidus since I won't have his LB attack ready at the start of the match. He has damage reduction that apparently works with other units damage reduction. He's perfectly suited for what I want. I'm actually more excited to use him on my team more than anything else.

Even if all he does is alternate between breaks and damage reduction on his turns lol

Romancing Saga 3 has not yet been released outside of JP. News of a localized Android port came out back in March or April, but the game has not materialized. Maybe we'll get the banner when it releases as a cross-promotional opportunity. Maybe not. It's not a reliable thing, regardless.

Whales don't change habits, they change games. Be careful what you wish for. They're subsidizing this shit for us.

Everyone is complaining about this banner being 'ruined' but no one seems to be keeping in mind that we're getting it four months early with the units and their TMs not nerfed at all. That's no longer a factor because it doesn't feed into the victim mentality people have developed over a gacha game.

By the way, who pre-judges a unit based on their TM? I guess Xon and Ling are trash too.
