Well it seems S-E now knows that there is demand for PC stuff, funny how it got released on PS4, XBOX One and now PC. I guess they will skip Vita.
I wonder if the PC release will be bare bones like FF 13 and 13-2 on PC, settings wise.

I doubt Vita could handle this HD port. They should release PSP version via PSN anyway

Now that I think about it... I think I would prefer a good field of view mod for this game. The motion blur needs to die a horrible death either way.

I need to try harder to get into FF games. I really struggle to stick with them. Yet there are plenty of other J/RPGs that I like a lot

Well not sure what holds them back with the Vita port, but they won't release it on PSP anymore, development was abandoned for it, they should have released it when PSP was still alive and games were produced.

FF Type-0 HD, FF XIII (eventual) Trilogy on Steam was all but a test for us to deserve Final Fantasy XII IZJS HD on Steam.

So was this game actually any good? I mean besides the awful motion blur I've heard so much about?

It's mediocre tbh. The combat is too simple, even though there is some variety with 14 characters, but the core gameplay just isn't very interesting compared to a game like KH2 Final Mix. The feel of the combat well as the camera + targeting don't compare either.

The dungeons/missions are comprised of linear corridors. There are a few gimmicks here and there, but the level design is nothing special.

The story is boring and the characters are nothing to write home about. The characters receive no development at all, and in the story you're just going from battle to battle to battle. It gets kinda interesting towards the end, and I liked the ending and the alternate ending (didn't unlock it, just saw it on Youtube) but it's disappointing for the most part. Also, the idea that when someone dies everyone loses their memory of them is good, except the execution is bad because you don't care about the characters at all.

The world map is filled with some lvl 99 monsters and extra dungeons, but there are no real secrets to discover and for the most part it's just empty space. The towns are all really small and basic, and look visually similar. They also have the same theme played over and over again, which is actually a very good theme, but for some mind boggling reason they couldn't be bothered to play the second half of the track.

I also thought some of the redone character models for Class Zero looked...off. And I don't know what the fuck they were thinking with the motion blur, even though I got used to it after a few sessions.

The only really good aspect about the game is the soundtrack.

FF XIII-2 and LR (didn't play XIII) are better.

I thought the Thursday Active Time Report was focused solely on FFXV.

At first they were for both Type-0 HD and FFXV. After Type-0 HD was released they became exclusively FFXV presentations since there was nothing left to market for Type-0 HD. They could always go back.

I wonder if Duscae 2.0 would be a good opportunity for this release...

No press release or anything at their usual publishing time. My guess is this is really far off/something they just decided on.

Aren't they showcasing it on MSI laptops at Computex according to the initial leak? Can't be that early if so.

I definitely wouldve waited if I had thought this was possible...having already beat it on PS4 I'm not sure how much I care...Granted maybe I wouldnt have waited, SE sucks and goes digital only on PC, and Type0 had an amazing collectors edition I bought

Either way, what I really want is lightning returns, I want to replay that on PC so much. Come on SE

What's left to talk about Type-0 HD? Unless it has new feature/improvement in the Steam port, it's nothing we haven't already know/seen.

Letting people know it exists and what to expect from it? The streams are just another form of marketing. Just because there's nothing "new" doesn't mean they can't talk about it.

doh i shouldnt buy ps4 digital;

on PC i gonna have mod to turn off this stupid motionblur

it was my non-mutli last digital game for PS4

XIII and XIII-2 barely has any trailer or marketing for their Steam ports. Don't see why to expect something drastically different for Type-0 HD.

I don't understand what you mean. If there was a regular series of streams featuring Kitase talking about upcoming FF games he was working on when those were coming out, I'm sure he would mention them on the stream too. But there wasn't.
