You can replicate the exp glitch pretty easily by changing the system clock although I'm sure someone has already figured how to do similar things with cheat engine or what have you.

Yes. Set the camera speed to slow and you'll be good to go. I also recommend turning off motion blur, which made things worse on the PS4. By the way, there are two camera types. I find type B works better on keyboard, type A works better with a controller (personal preference).

In FFXIII and XIII-2 the 1440p option looks worse than 1080p upscaled for some reason, maybe thats why they left out the option as they just cant make it work right T-T

At the moment, yes. I was hoping for some GeDoSaTo magic to cure this, but it is a DX11 game so that's a no go.

For me (using a controller) hitting the screenshot button (I believe it was A) took a screenshot via Steam. I can't confirm yet if/how it works on keyboard. As for Durante, maybe he has buried himself into this game and will soon emerge (once again) as our savior.

Try changing the camera mode to Type B and see if that makes it easier for you (allows the camera to follow behind the character, so moving with WASD isn't as painful). But yeah, controller is the way to go on this game.

just tested this to see...went to the normal Steam screenshots folder...when you press the button to take the snapshot the usual Steam notification comes up

Specifically, I meant with respect to what the expectations for a PC port are. I think less than five people were responsible for the port of Type-0 HD from consoles to PC.

We don't have precise details on what their discussions with Avalanche entailed. Other posters assured me these were at the level of discussing techniques to improve the engine's ability to stream assets and improve the verticality of the world as opposed to technical assistance.

If/when XV and KH3 receive PC ports would be more indicative of the organization's ability to port to PC as a whole, in my mind.

Everyone should be refunding this excuse for a Port (Ironically Zombi comes out the same day and is just as pathetic. At least it supports a higher framerate). If refunds would've existed when XIII/2 came out, i'm sure just about everyone would have.

After messing around with the AA options, setting it to high instead of Normal actually improves the AA quality. I assumed that it would just make it blurrier but that's not the case.

I tried the AA on the highest setting but the framerate dropped to 26-27 FPS for the reasons Durante mentioned I'm assuming. I was able to get SweetFX to work so I used the lumasharpen to make up for some of the blurring that the AA seems to do. Here are my results

Esc key like XIII/XIII2 prompts you to exit the game. WAT?
Mouse cursor is always on screen.
No vsync option causes tearing.
You might as well use Motion Blur with AA because the TemporalAA causes smearing on it's own.
Highest AA setting still seems to ignore parts of the hair, there is still pixel crawling on the legs of your character, edges are not that good looking

That was only specific to 1440p though. Higher resolutions ran fine. I ran them at 4k and downsampled to 1440p which worked fine.

Okay, so if I caught the gist of this thread, the verdict appears to be something like this:

+ can render at high internal resolutions/downsample
- only outputs at 1080p, no higher
- maximum framerate locked at 30fps
- somewhat erratic performance even on mid-to-high-level specs (GTX 970) or maybe not?

So basically no reason to buy this right now if I already own the PS4 version, besides wanting to keep that CE sealed because I'm stupid and think it might actually be collectible someday (why do I do this to myself geez)?

I do hold out hope that some enterprising modder will find a way to restore the PSP's colour grading, though. That would make this an instabuy for me.

judging by a lot of other users posts in the forums they all have that problem on 32bit.

SteamSpy says that FF13 has sold 416k, that's about only a 60k difference in sales.

It'll be interesting to see where this sits on SteamSpy once the dust settles and it has stable data.

Newsflash:
The game stutters on some systems if you turn everything to the maximum because then it renders at 3840x2160, in HDR, with quite a few expensive post-processing effects and temporal AA done on the full 4k HDR FP framebuffer.
It's not really a performance issue in that sense -- it's like the TW2 Ubersampling option in a way.

Also, it's ridiculous to have the option to do the full rendering at 4k in the game and then only allow output at 1920x1080 :/

That explains why turning AA to "normal" made the game run about a billion times better for me, but this stuff really should be explained better in the options menu. "Highest" doesn't tell me shit.

Don't rely on MinSpecs too much, there's plenty of games where MinSpecs are the "We won't provide official support below this mark" rather than an actual minimum needed to run it.

I'm running it a 720 with minimum settings and sometimes dropping below the 30 FPS lock.

I guess this is the wake up call that my rig is aging.
Need a machine that can at least keep up with the current consoles.

Performance is fine here. Windows 10 / GTX 970. Utilizes like 30% of my GPU with everything highest except AA set to High. I can actually do AA on highest with 80-90% utilization but it just seemed like a waste of electricity.

Graphically it's so weird. Nice shaders thrown on top of super low poly models with tiny textures. The automagic texture uprezing in PPSSPP actually looks a lot better than the textures they shipped this with IMO.

Camera still sucks. The lock-on is nauseating.

Other than that, it's still Type-0. It's about what I expected, which is to say not much. At least it performs better than FF13-2.
