That's just the highwind mark II... well mark III if you consider the jet packing highwind as MKII.

Still a much better looking airship than 8,9,10 though...

but personally i loved the airships from FF4... although the way they've been translated to 9 and 11 makes that type a bit chunkier and uglier than they should be.

FF6 airship is my favorite, because it has that sort of perfect steampunk feel that I love about the very best designed airships. Also, it has a freakin' casino on it!

Actually yeah, you're completely spot on. The text mentions that for the vehicle designs of FFVIIAC they're using the same designer as for the Creatures. I guess they're aiming for a more "monster machine" look. So far we have Cloud's "Fenrir" bike, Bahamut, the ShadowCreepers, and now this.

Ragnarok from FFVIII is still the best looking airship ever.

Well that's what happens when Amano gets to design a ship.

Yeah, the vehicles and monsters are designed by Takayuki Takeya, a well-known freelance model sculptor.

It has the same shape (kind of) as the Bahamut creature's head in the movie previews, at least the front of it does.
