They changed the text on the pre-order redemption page though.

We sincerely apologize, but the pre-order redemption site is experiencing very high traffic which we are currently working to resolve. We are adding additional bandwidth and server capacity to ensure that all customers will be able to redeem their pre-order codes as soon as possible. Early Access starts on August 24th and Square Enix is working hard to ensure that all pre-order customers will be able to download and play the game.

You can now redeem your pre-order code and download the game to prepare for early access, which begins on August 24th, 2013. You will receive the Cait Sith Doll Minion and Mog Cap items via the Moogle Delivery Service in-game mail system when official service begins.

I love this game, can't wait till Saruday!!!

I don't even care about Error 3 anymore, as a Legacy player I'm starting on the 24th regardless, my pre-order code is just for the pre-order items anyway.

Damn, that OT is borderline MGS4 levels of graphics. Its super pretty, but a shame I can't ctrl+f through it for stuff.

Arent Coerthas ad Mor d'hona smaller than the 3 starting areas? Especially Mor Dhona, I have been told is really small.

This OP, which looks amazingly informative, is unreadable for us plebeians with 1024x768 resolutions. Throw us a bone?

And if anyone would like an introduction to the Eorzean alphabet -- which seems to have been used more extensively in 1.0 than in the updated game -- I'd be happy to produce one.

Been awhile, but I think I recall hearing Beastmaster was going to be put into FFXIV at some point, or at least was rumored to. Will it?

Whoa thanks Mognet much appreciated, these are absolutely gorgeous! :D And ah okay I see that explains it then, it's a slight bummer since my primary drive in MMOs is exploration of far away "lands" (I'm this weird I know :p) but with how well crafted the zones turned out I don't think I will mind it much :)

And as for Miqo'te... I think they are nice! :(

Ugh, they should just make the 24th open to everyone with a 18 digit code. That's esentially the cd key isn't it? When you go to register other games it asks for an 18 digit code found in your retail box and shiz.

I can wait for my digital items. The 20 digit code expires in a few months as well.

So I entered the code, got the fabled Error 3, game still shows up on that site, but doesn't list it as a CE. Hrm. Ah well.

How the fuck do you contact support? I got a EU code and there is no actual contact information anywhere on the fucking site that I can see.

You can zoom out (I just updated the OP) using CTRL and - (numpad) or mouse wheel down or just use the text version.

They are looking in to fixing it, I imagine they will remove the region check when applying the new code, either that or ask those who have the wrong region to go to another site input the wrong code to get a correct one .. mwah ha ha

SE you never cease to amaze us.

Incredible OT! I'm so happy that GAF has a really nice community for this game! I won't be apart of it in game but on the forums its really great. This thread makes me so happy and proud.

I preordered the Collector's edition for the PS3 back in late May, was I supposed to get a code for early access? I never received a code or anything... is it too late to go to Gamestop and ask them for Early Access?

Worst game of 2010 somehow becomes one of the best games of 2013.

This is seriously one of the most unique and interesting projects in game history IMO, especially considering the developer and brand name. I don't think anyone would argue against the fact that FFXIV 1.0, at launch at least, was the worst game in the Final Fantasy series.

Having been playing since 1.0 ALPHA, it's seriously been a wild ride. I'm ready for the real deal now, the rest of this week is going to be rough.

I don't normally shop there but doesn't Gamestop print that kind of stuff on the receipt? Can you go and ask them to reprint your receipt or look it up?

Since it seems that we can switch classes is it worth it to make alts or should I just level every class on one character? I like the idea of having two different looking characters but not if it is going to make little sense, similar to The Secret World and how it is better to just have one character.

I kept trying to redeem yesterday and kept getting all those error 3. Today I just got an email with the PSN early access code. Do I just need that 12 digit code to play the early access? Or do I still need the 20 digit code that I need to register at square ID site to get early access?

I emailed them about this. Go back to the store along with your original receipt, and as long as you are a Powerup Rewards member, they will reprint the receipt with the early access code (which apparently won't work anyway until SE fixes it).
