I stay away from it because I figure you need lv 110 eq or something to compete, and my eq is only lvl 50 right now.
Frontline is ilvl synced to 80.

The best part about hunts is when you find one solo, tell someone who then proceeds to tell everyone, and then they rush in and pull before you can even get in a party.
GAF FC is so awesome.
I like the stealth it has and hope it doesn't work like the gatherer stealth, where other players can see you still. Just party members.
Realistically why should I or anyone ever do any content outside of hunts that shares in the rewards that hunts provide?
This seems to be the one simple question they forgot to ask themselves when putting hunt content into the wild.
They, wrongly, assumed that players are interested in things other than gear.
While it's a huge thing to overlook for an MMO developer, it's not completely unreasonable.

What is there to do in this game besides get gear anyway? Whether that be for battle or vanity. After you spend the couple hours a patch for new quests you are left with gear. They, wrongly, assumed that players are interested in things other than gear.
I really hope they don't put a cap on Allied Seals, it would be such a backward decision and completely suck out my enjoyment of Hunts.
All they have to do is remove the stupid lockout from Coil 2, there is no reason for it to exist now more than ever.

I've gotten my Arcanist to level 10 today so far. Is changing to a Scholar going to be a huge change in gameplay? I suppose I'll see some of that when I switch to Conjurer when I hit 30.
Also I'm putting my bonus stats into INT for more damage while getting to 30, but I've heard some people say to put it in VIT for survivability. Obviously I'll change it to MND once I'm 50.

Finding an A before anyone else is a thrill, the game world may not be immense but its still big enough that finding a mark in such a large area still feels like an accomplishment.
And of course, feeling accomplished is one of the big draws of an MMO.
Yep. You give easily exploitable content and boom. Perhaps they could have out a weekly lock out on tomes/sands/oils instead of people farming up 10 a week.
The snakes phase is honestly the hardest (because you have divebombs to contend with and have to finish off the adds before Twintania rages). If you can make it through that, you should be able to clear it.
Dreadknights and twisters says hello ! ;'(
P3 and P4 are the hardest, P5 is easy.
Maybe these hunts rewards are there to gear up new and less hardcore people faster for the expansion. (not sure how far it is though)

So started playing this last night for a good 5 hours. got to level 11.
Wow. So much more different than FFXI, and that's a compliment. the lack of offensive spell from a thema even at lvl 11 is kinda disconcerting though.
one ice, one fire, and one thunder.

Queue many who didn't do 2nd coil but already has full i110 because of hunts turning into the new elitist pricks. God what a freaking disaster hunts has made the end game. What the hell were they thinking? Should have been an emergency maintenance, take hunts out, and don't re implement them until they have a solution
Yeah, doesn't look hot, I want that Izuna (more dagger attacks, less Ninpo).Looks like all Ninpo and not enough Izuna Drop.
Is SR brayflox over and over so much fun for you guys?
Hmmm, actually, I'm randomly going to switch to Gladiator to try that out and possibly play Paladin.
Any tips on habits I should pick up from the get go for tanking?
when i heal dungeons i alt tab and browse gaf
also WHM dont really have debuffs beisdes virus
1, 2, 3.
What is it with lazy healers lately in the dungeons? I've encountered them in 3 of my last dungeons.

I'll be doing trash pulls, and watching the cast bar of the WHM and the only spells ever cast are Cure, Cure II, and Regen. That's it. Don't bother stoneskining. No debuffs. Of course don't DPS.
I, being me (tag quote), call them out on it and their response is always "My job is to heal" or "I play the game how I want". Do they think those spells are only for solo play, or are they spending most of their time chatting while in the dungeon (which is what I suspect)?
EDIT - Note, I am already in a party, so the suggestion of EXDR only with party isn't a solution. We just didn't have a healer that wanted to do EXDR / had already done the last couple of times.
If they say... block any rewards once you reach max seals, then that would be best. The only problem I forsee with capping seals is that the bloody log books would still drop. If they capped seals but allowed books to drop anyway then nothing would change.
Well and dots, Aero. And that's exactly what I think is happening. I've noticed they over heal a lot, I think they are just hitting cure on me without even looking at the screen.
I mean honestly, Eos does a better job than some of these WHM's.
DPSing on WHM was super boring and not particularily good either and you had to constantly stop to start healing people once regen wasn't enough.
anyone on GAF FC that plays early morning? would like a guild invite when teh east coast wakes up tomorrow
to be fair demanding speed runs out of everyone in df'd dungeons is kind of selfish
I'm not talking about LLDR or HLDR. My expectations of those are low and I am fine with taking them slow. I am also happy helping people out in those. I will usually stop before each boss and ask if anyone needs a review on the strat and then spend the time explaining.
I'm talking about EXDR. The new dungeons are inherently much slower than the last ones. A DPS'ing healer can make the difference between a 25+ min run down to a 20 min run, whether SR or not. I'm looking at healers with Animus weapons who are doing the quests, yet are too lazy to make the other 3 players runs quickly because they rather take it easy and spend half the time chatting or alt-tabbed or whatever. That's the selfish attitude in my opinion, not mine for expecting.
read the op as how to apply to the gaf fc, only certain people can invite/approve applications
