This is the quote that Crossing Eden was responding to saying that he doesn't see the defiance in that particular scene that Tabata is talking about. He wasn't making judgments on the character as a whole.

I don't really see it in that scene either even though I trust that she will be a strong character.
 
Maybe kid Luna didn't exactly have much 'defiance' in her eyes like Tabata implied, but at least she didn't burst into tears or even get teary eye while basically being child abused. Come on, you gotta give her some credit for that.

Yeah, she looks scared (she's a freaking kid, it would be absurd if she didn't), but she's holding it together.

Yeah, I just think it's funny how much there is speculation about her character and how little we've actually seen of her.

We haven't even heard a single dialogue line, and that should be fixed by Tabata ASAP.
 
speculating is fine, but it seems like a lot have already concluded that she is a weak character already which is really weird since we have not seen much about her, that's what annoys me.

What annoys me is that people somehow still don't believe that she won't be as "weak" as she seemed to them, primarily based on the fact that we only saw her sit on a chair so far, even after Tabata explained why they replaced Stella with Luna (Stella wasn't as determined/strong/independent as many believed and Luna is what we actually wanted Stella to be).

Now, of course, there will be some who believe Tabata is lying and just wanted to replace characters for fun. I mean, they could have kept her name, as we didn't know much about Stella's role in the whole story anyway, but it seems as if they felt the changes were too radical and they would have messed with Nomura/Nojima's vision too much so they decided to create their own character instead (they got Nojima's blessings as seen in the June ATR).
 
Yeah, Tabata could be lying about Stella's previous role, but we'll never know, if you want to doubt Tabata's word on that, go ahead, but at least I think we have enough evidence to give Luna the benefit of the doubt until the game comes out. At least when it comes to being a damsel in distress/trophy wife.

Still completely agree with people saying "then fucking show us instead of just saying" though.

People tend to elaborate carefully crafted back stories about the scarce information of the females characters in this game.

I'm going to wait to judge Luna but not because Tabata says she is "strong" means she will be in our eyes. Lots of male developers have weird definitions of "strong female character" and are more offensive than empowering.

Certainly doesn't look like a person, it's like realistic but also stylized similarly to an ND game. Or it's just the emoting. Something about it doesn't feel right imo.
 
So will we get another ATR at TGS or will we have something new (trailer and release date) at the Sony conference ? Latter would be wiser.

Tbh, they should just skip Pax.

Hopefully it doesn't suck like FFXIV's does.

Or FFX's.

Actually, there's not a good track record for Chocobo racing in FF, so it's probably safer to assume it's going to be awful.

Yup. PAX should be skipped.

Its too late now though. All the wheels are already in motion. Not easy to reverse.

The biggest visible differences lie in shaders. I'd also assume that they greatly reduced the bone count on the face as the characters don't have to emote as much in the field. (comparing FFXV ingame vs. cutscene btw, not comparing to W3)
