You underestimate Tai Yasue.
The real man putting the work when it comes to KH3.

I am quite aware they change, but these changes seem... odd, I say? Sure you get a few seemingly cosmetic changes such as Regis' design, and some quite big changes such as scenes being lifted out, but the premise also seemingly changed as well, strangely so for a video game that already had its voice actors record dialogue as early as 2011.
I mean, there are plenty that seemed unchanged: Noctis and the gang, the crossroads journey, etc. It's just strange to start implementing some rather radical changes when it seems that a foundation has already been set up for the game to be developed on.
And in the PR side of the things, I wonder why they just didn't go upfront and say that XV will be building on Versus XIII concepts but differ from it. They wouldn't be in such deep shit if they were upfront about it. Hey, it sucks for those who liked Versus XIII, but hey, at least they didn't drag that dream on for much longer.
The fact that Tabata is getting help from another company because Square doesn't know how to handle their engine(untrue, they're consulting Avalanche to supposedly expanding their streaming tech). The story being basically rewritten (false? since when changing some story elements means it basically got totally rewritten?), characters being redesigned for who knows what or why(if they haven't given us explanations this falls again more on the PR side of things than the developement team)?
You must be joking if you think this game is well on track for 2016. Combat is a mess, no magic, no air combat, no gambits being shown either (so you wanted all the features in a demo? or do you really think those things are not in?).
They are only figuring out now things they can and can't do.
Just look at everything that has happened since Tabata took over. TGS 2014 till today the hype has been going downward.
Not really overanalysis. You might be right on the money. I think the giant knights in the back are the ancestor kings of the Lucis kingdom. That's just my theory. In a way, that might be a very Japanese/Asian thing(the whole "ancestors are looking over you" thing).
You are definitely blowing things out of proportions, and assuming that since something hasn't been shown, it's in developement trouble.

But can you say they aren't in development hell right now? and that everything is fine and "on track"
About the summons, say we are going to have a minimum of 7.
When it comes to summoning it can only be done in certain situations like the demo.
What are 7 different types of situations we can use a summon in?
Do we have to be in water to summon leviathan or something?
Because that sounds pretty annoying and limiting that we can't use them whenever we want to like in all the other FFs.
But can you say they aren't in development hell right now? and that everything is fine and "on track"
Nomura must be happy he dodged that Luminous bullet after having to see the problems with Crystal tool and dealing with Ebony.
Not really, FFXV was supposed to be his game... when asked why he left the project he was salty like "Company's decision, no comment.".
Well he has other big projects to work on (FFXV and KH3). He said that he is busy till 2019 (FFVII Remake Development time < 10 years confirmed).
Well, come to think of it, I loved XIII's combat (sue me) and they didn't even implement stuff like the Stagger Gauge until, like, what, 3 months before release or something?
I dunno. I really hope they significantly improve the combat in this game.
Man chozen your jumping to conclusions is just about as janky as the jumping in Episode Duscae so you shouldn't be complaining about that :V
I see a bunch of sword-wielding Sean Connerys
Renaissance art Ultros will never not make me laugh. Whoever painted that needs a raise.
The FFVII that we all deserved...

So is the first 65% of the game that they built mostly story sequences and world building and basic combat functions?
Cause that would explain the lack of combat footage. Also I understand they wouldn't want to spoil the story and the world either so not much footage of that.

He's doing that Robocop thing where he shoots in a different direction and the bullet ricochets and hits someone!
I would totally play a "Final Fantasy Noire". Maybe hot-blooded detective Joe can finally make an appearance.Well, you're not wrong.
Here's more art from him.
Not to fuel the tin-foil hat business, but if everyone is in this image, so is the villain probably...

Tabata's ship. :V
They say it's to give it a fresh start, but that's just not going to happen.

DebuggingFrom a gamespot interview in Mar 2015
"He(Tabata) followed this up by saying it would not take long to reach 80 percent completion, and that the last 20 percent of the project would "fall into place in a relatively smooth and timely fashion."
While the game is probably closer to 80% completion, the Episode Duscae demo represents the previous, 60% done version."
Something is probably taking up a lot if time to make but i think that once that section is finished everything will come together rather fast.
At least i hope.

The XV team is just wanting to see if they could utilize a part of JC3s engine to make an airship possible in this game. (basically trying to remove the loading zone barrier), they might not even do it.
It's not as big of a deal as some people are trying to make it out to be.

In August 2008 I doubt FFXIII had a working battle system. The battle system in the demo was also not representative of the final XIII system.
XV is further ahead than XIII was...XIII was pretty much a rush job after demo from what I know. So XV is already far ahead respectively, and the amount of work they achieve in the final push will be much greater than before (I just assume it's like how it is for college deadlines LOL)
I can't see this game being done in 2016.
I don't get whats so funny when we've all been sitting behind our computers since 2006 waiting for this game.
How can anyone here be so positive after being strung along for 10 years is beyond me.

I don't know about that, it all comes down to texture streaming, which is kinda an important part, so if they have to go back to the drawing board to redesign it, I can see this game getting delayed for a couple of months.
Yup after being refreshed on it the combat system still needs a fuck ton of work. Quite dissatisfying and it will get ripped apart in the reviews. Needs to be more KH without going full KH.
And by air combos all I mean is being able to jump higher/double jump and chain a few attacks together before falling back to the ground.
Why do they have to make Ignis so obviously the Judas of the group. Ever since the Versus days they've always played him up as a turn coat, not to mention he carries a dagger.
Why can't it be Prompto? I wouldn't expect that idiot.
Et tu Iggy...
XIIIs system is wayyyy simpler than XVs. But you're right.
I don't think so, the painting is based on Lucian mythology, the villain is probably from Niflheim.
I was also thinking: maybe there are other summons (Odin, Ifrith etc.) for the other countries mythos, and maybe some of those are playable.
Also, anyone else bugged by the camping system?
Why saving (at least in the demo) and leveling-up is relegated to camping is beyond me.

That too is annoying actually. I'm going to miss seeing my party level up several times or so after beating a boss instantly. Now I have to go camp/hotel.
