I try to outline some points from FF VS XIII which is different than XV:
Every nation in FFVSXIII (except Niflheim) has their own crystal. The Empire tried to steal all crystals for an unknown purpose.
In FFXV, it looks like only Lucis has the crystal that unleashes the power to its users. The cosmogony book in the lastest trailer depicts a winged man gives the King a crystal to protect the world.
And that's why i think Tabata has written Solheim and Accordo stories being much less important than before.

I just hope the plot will be great! It doesn't matter whose vision it is. But I am scared because I still do not know how FF13 could happen. It makes no sense, and it makes no sense that a nonsensical plot would make it through. Next to Robin Hood, FFXIII is the most jibberish well produced AAA production I have seen in my life, and like Robin Hood, you sense that the original script indicated something truly ambitious.

And if you do not know of Robin Hood, and how it started as Sherwood, then I suggest reading up on the scriptwriting saga of Ridley Scotts madness.
