Hunt rank, completing all quests, even end game dungeons do not count towards the platinum. It's pretty much complete story(one fight has to be switched to normal.....seriously you can play on easy for the platinum switch for the one fight and switch back to easy), get everything to level 10 for skills, get flying regalia and beat......the level 99 hunt
Level 54, 52 hours in, still in chapter 3. Got about 140k XP saved up. Ran out of hunts to get me to rank 6. Started finding dungeons, came across one that's maybe above my current level. Couldn't progress any further and I was basically tapped out of downs and elixirs so I left.
So nobody else is having horrible HDR color banding issues? It doesn't ruin the game or anything, most of the time, it's just off-putting when you look at the sky and it kind of breaks the immersion.
On the other hand, during the Deadeye mission, the color banding in the fog was actually making it hard to see what I was doing, but that was the only time it was bad enough to be distracting.
Well got to the bottom of that tower dungeom, went through like 4 rounds of battles...after using the secret cubes, died.... lost all that progress and experience. Doh! I have no idea what I did wrong or what I need to do to reach the boss. Lol
Heh, the end of the Cup of Noodle quest was so cheesy, in a 1950s sitcom's ad for detergent and cigarettes kind of way. Cute but weird. But if it helps cover the costs, so be it, even if it was out of place.
So happy I found out the secret to entering Fallsgrove's Costlemark Tower on my own by accident today too (Hint:
Go at night
). I love how you can stumble upon cool stuff off in the distance, investigate, and find something awesome. Of course it's a bit high level so I ran.
I also like the celebrity cameos: Forest Whitaker as the always startled Hammerhead chef, Hillary Clinton as president of Altissa, the guy who played Hurley in LOST as the annoying photo man with limp waving hand and meteor shirt... even Ravus Nox resembles a young Crispin Glover 😏
You have to progress the story to unlock it. You could find every Royal Arm available and it still won't unlock until you hit the right point in the story.
Just finished chapter 13 and was surprised by how much I liked it. Was expecting something terrible but the only problem I had at all with it was it was a little too long. How much longer do I have before beating the story at this point?

Just finished! 43 hours total, from a minimal amount of side quests and alot of exploring. Haven't even touched some of the crazy stuff like adamantoise yet lol.
A couple things.
why did he get sucked into the crystal and then just steps out of a rock 10 years later? I listened to everything Bahamut said but was that explained at all??
Also, combat is fcking amazing once you figure out
the regen buff you get when you use your allies from a hanging spot.
suddenly all your kings weapons are usable almost infinitely and you don't go through stacks of potions every fight lol. So good.
Story was amazing besides my confusion above. I
shed tears
lol.
Favorite parts definitely
leviathan and the end fight, all that power just feels so dam good lol
Also, anyone notice
the very last attack of the game is basically Knights of the Round summon!!
Major nostalgia.
Can't wait to start getting into all the secrets and hunts now. I beat the game at level 37 lol. Long ways to go!
Ok, that's enough incentive to me. I'll unequip that, it's boring as fuck anyway. Cyclone remains my favorite AoE party skill so far.
I'll continue to use the photograph one for Prompto until I max his level, it's already close, a couple more in-game days should be enough. Then I'll go back to the first.
Finally getting through post game and hearing all kinds of fantastic dialogue I never heard before. Noct telling prompto there's no wrong way to love a chocobo had me dyin

Finished it today. I'm all but getting skills to level 10 for the platinum. What a strange but enjoyable game. I have thoughts that I'll type up later, but overall I enjoyed my time with the game.
Well it was a fine ride. Got the Platinum Trophy today, and feeling great about it. This game, though very different from what it was originally going to be when it was VsXIII, kept me hooked for the entire ride. Noctis became one of my favorite protagonists ever, and I really cared for what was going to happen to the guys and how their stories was going to be told. The Story had some rough edges, and some things were a pain (Costlemark Tower Dungeon), but that combat was phenomenal and it's my GOTY. Will definitely play this again next year.

Hoard quests and level up by sleeping in the Altissia hotel. The more levels you get, the more AP you get I believe.
Edit: If you're speaking the campfire stuff. For fishing, it's best to fish in Vesperpool. It took me around 3 hours to max it out. Gladio = rubberband and overnight since the only way to level it up is by walking.

Mmm rubber band trick for gladio. Snapshot tech for prompt, photo op spots and just general pictures being took, Noctis stock up on the dragon fishing string head to the spot near veserpool. Takes about 2-3 hours
Has anybody fought a Coeurl yet? I'm above the recommended level for this quest, but they're capable of killing me in one hit. Not just downing me, but literally killing me. It's fucking stupid.
I've noticed a few times I've been running and suddenly flashed green with a magic-looking effect. Already beaten the game and have no clue what that is, but it's happened around 10 times. Weird.

So my friend gave my ff15 for Xbox. Holy hell is it ugly. Wowza. Decent so far. Was kinda surprised by the song during the intro. Interesting usage just seems out of place in a Ff game.
Just beat the game. Went from Chapter 9 all the way to the end today. Chapter 13 aside, I love the game. Favorite Final Fantasy with 12 right behind it.

I'm not sure but it sounds like it. I always left stamina bar off because I found it to be unsightly but it seems like it has an unseen benefit. Not surprised I couldn't activate it because I didn't have meter on.

I had a level 38 hunt for 5 of these today and I'm level 49. These things wrecked me when I first ran in. Their install kill is insanely annoying, especially if your party groups on them. I found success trying to isolate them, but it gets really annoying when they run off to lick their wounds and self-heal.
