Someone somewhere is going to upload an ending with a picture of Cindy or something.
that's even more amazing but best one would be
S H I R T L E S S G L A D I O B O Y S

I still can't believe they didn't play the original Stand by Me during the first credit roll :'(
Because at one point Noctis picks a photo that he chose to take with him prior to the ending. If you chose a particularly unflattering or weird photo, (the streamer picked a photo where Noctis did the Jojo pose), the scene can be unintentionally hilarious, removing all impact of the actual scene.
If the romance is written poorly (typical of JRPG to be honest), then the scene would only feel shoehorned in, not sweet.Seriously, how can people hate on that? That sounds sweet & romantic as fuck. *Tear*
Chapter 0 now officially makes no sense and is out of place for the rest of the game. It should have been Noctis and Ardyn staring at each other from across the street saying cryptic shit the player doesn't yet understand and then ends just as they leap at each other to fight.

I can already see the YouTube videos rolling in with super dumb photos for that ending moment.
About that: when the credit roll appears (the one with the photos on the left) why did he skip it everytime? Maybe there are bits of plots there.
So,everyone dies except for Noctis?
What the hell is Ardyn anyways?
yeah what's his motivation? to be another god wanna be villian?

What I want to know is how much product placement is in the game.
Kind of funny how people expect one of the broes to die, not much expect everybody dying.
I wonder if Tabata is a Titanic fan.
Is there a post detailing the ending and whoever dies, lives and wins the final battle or whatever? I'm just seeing bits and pieces around these pages so far.
Any info about how the post game works? Gonna start all over again or we can Just roam and do the side stuff
Crisis Core, The 3rd Birthday, Type-0, XV. Is it just me or does Tabata have some strange fascination for making RPGs where the main characters all die at the end.
You can load your save after the final boss and "go back in time" to do end-game stuff. You keep everything, and even get the Kingsglaive costumes for the younger party.
Ardyn is final boss. Pretty epic 1v1 with Noctis in the ruined streets/skies of Insomnia. Music is fucking god tier. Everyone dies.
Parkour Ifrit looks ridiculous

Well, Crisis Core wasn't really up to him, but yeah, he certainly does.

Sure, while Zack's ultimate fate wasn't in question, I think the way it was handled in particular did foreshadow Tabata's approach to conclusions of his future serious RPGs. Controlling Zack as he fights a battle which cannot be won and seeing the DMW glitch out bit by bit as he is overwhelmed and eventually killed is definitely a very Tabata moment in Crisis Core.
Appears to be a bunch of optional bosses. There are also optional dungeons, dunno how many.
A few more things from my reviewer friend:
Ardyn is a great villain
Game has good level of challenge throughout
Reviewer had high hopes, they were met (game is really good)
You can go back to do optional stuff from chapter 9 on
Linearity after chapter 8 isn't bad at all, just different. Besides, you can go back after chapter 9.
At least one side quest only unlocks after you clear the game
Iedolas isn't in the game much, heavy focus on Ardyn

The flip he does is impressive, but I still don't know why he does it.
I'm going to be in the vocal minority for this but I now believe that once Ardyn was defeated, the timeline/history changed. It's no longer the dystopian society that Ardyn created but rather the good future where the Lucis line no longer has to suffer from the effects of ring magic. Ardyn was also basically erased from history at the end I think.
So in a way it's like the ending to Ocarina of Time where there are now two (three) timeliness. And the picture? Since Noctis was in possession when he had it, it stayed with him. So it also went with him to this new timeline.
Note this is just my interpretation! Don't kill me!
