God I love her...
From what I've seen a lot of the praise for it is the campfire part. The bros friendship is easily the most well done part of the game and so Noctis crying and thanking them for everything before they go off to die feels more actually earned. It also helps that the facial animations and voice work for Noctis in both JP and ENG was astounding for that scene.

lol, I was just thinking the same thing. The post credit scene with the bros was really good. If I remember correctly, Tabata had said something about the ending making you cry.
oh. well maybe i would have felt better about it if they weren't complete dicks to me the entire time i spent leveling up fishing.
The good thing about the end is not how the story ends, but see the photos on the credits and see Noct talking with his buddies for the last time and remember all the journey that you (Noctis and player) had with the game so far
But yeah, if you just focus on the "Noctis beat Ardyn, they're dead and the world is save" part the end it's just okay

Hmmmm, I loaded my save at Ardyn to fight him cause the battle is so epic and fun. He smacked my HP down to zero during the midair portion of the battle and it wouldn't let me use a Phoenix down......game over. Can you not pop one of those during the final boss?
Also, lol at whoever says that's a QTE fight. He can easily kill you if you're not paying attention

I actually died in the second phase when we were both Super Saiyan. I kept trying to get close to him and the game decided to drain my HP super fast. Learned the hard way cuz I had to start the fight all over again. Yea, def not a QTE fight. Lots of fun. I loved that it was a true 1v1 fight and he had similar powers.

Yeah, I had a similar thing where it wouldn't let me use a potion and I died as a result (obviously couldn't use a Phoenix Down either.)

So what was the point of showing Luna in the end and Noct together married if they are "dead" Oh my god I love the ending but this story is a MESS. No chapters as Luna? Not even as a guest. Lies everywhere. I remember when Tabata said she joins you. Bullshite.
I thought it was super "whatever." Maybe I'm just to old and jaded but it really had no emotional weight for me.

Just to show them "happily ever after" even though they're dead. Probably just in there to keep the ending from being a complete downer that left us all wanting to jump off a cliff. I honestly would've taken a credit scene of Luna and Noctis over the campfire scene.
Think of the ending of Titanic. Even though the ending is incredibly depressing, you can still be happy that either in death or in her dreams, Rose is reunited with Jack and everyone who died. It's the same here. Noct and Luna never had the chance to develop the relationship they both wanted. In the afterlife, they both get to sleep eternally together.

Maybe the scene with Noctis and Luna together on the afterlife is a little pointless, but I personally think it was great when they became the logo of the game at the end
And made me think what the logo was supposed to be during the "Versus years". I'm pretty sure it isn't Stella

Another question......do enemies with a ??? level (Ardyn, Titan, Leviathan) scale with your level? I remember reading that somewhere.

The logo was originally of Etro, the death goddess.
It was changed when Tabata took over to be the symbol of Luna's lineage as the oracle. Hence why the image turns into her at the end.

The dungeon plays and looks like a newbie map maker got a hold of the game tools and tried to make a dungeon. Nothing but dimly lit square rooms, and even smaller 4x4 square rooms to fight countless lots of aoe mobs in. Not to mention waiting for cubes to move in this stupid "puzzle".

Yeah, it's crazy you can remove the jacket but you can't remove the king's cowl. Especially when he removes it normally while camping. Hope they'll fix it in a patch.

Loved the ending.
The wedding scene somehow made me very sad and Noct with his buddies by the tent, great stuff. FFXV mythos is great and super interesting, I hope the new cutscenes deliver and make the story more cohesive and elegantly told.
The roadtrip theme nailed it, all the camping, dicking around, the banter, jokes, riding chocobos, travelling in the car, etc, made them feel very close to me, a real group of friends travelling together.
Aranea is my new waifu and it's a total disappointment that she won't have a DLC of her one. Same thing goes to Luna.
Ardyn is a fantastic villain, incredible personality and a great backstory to back it up.
I'm so sad it's over, now we play the waiting game.

Man, any time I see anything to do with the party scene from versus I get unreasonly nostalgic and bitter. Fuck I was so excited for the Noctis and Stella dynamic after seeing that plus there showdown in the street

Prompto - Chapter 12 to 13 in Niflheim and surrounding areas
Ignis - Chapter 9 in Altissia and maybe surrounding areas

I'm having so much fun with the end game content. The portrait of Lakshmi was such an awesome inclusion. I've been hoarding exp for several days now, and I'm prepping to fight the tonberry knights.
I think Gladio's will be in the trench between Duscae and Cleign. The concept art shows similar terrain to that area. Plus not sure how Gladio would be able to get to the island when the chapter he leaves in is about getting something to be able to use the boat.
I really do hope we get a semi chunk of an open area with each character and not just a linear section.

I wish I had a link handy for you, but for Amazon's (I think) digital preorder bonus, players get a PS4 theme. It shows off concept art for each of the upcoming character DLC episodes, labeling them as such.
Gladio's is as an above poster described. Ignis is Altissia from above. Prompto is tracks in the snow and some giant mech-looking worm thing (or something? it's strange).
