Yesterday's Nintendo Direct really should've, honestly. I don't think we'll see that DLC any later than three weeks or so from now.

Yes. Three normal save files, plus two battle saves for use on Casual.

Yeah, I agree. I wish there were more available. I know three is actually a typical quantity in these games, but more would've really been appreciated.

Just a minor note, they renamed Casual to Newcomer. I don't think you should let that bother you, though.
Man this current mission I'm on negates all the strats I've been using up to this point. And because I've been a little too cute with my strats (kill the leader to win? then i'll do that over killing all his troops) I'm kind of under leveled. Horses, horses everywhere! No choke points. No nothing. I'm being twamped.

Well, RaR is supposed to be hard since the enemies on the maps are set on Lunatic difficulty.
Haven't bothered buying 1 or 2, but 3 doesn't have ally units you have to worry about keeping alive which might make things easier.
The easiest strategy I found is having 4 capped Sorcerors occupying each side of the fort (2 in the middle and 1 on either side) while paired with a unit (usually Hero) who had a high support with them, equipped with a brave sword/axe, and the Galeforce skill so that they can switch back to the Sorceror unit again.
They should also be equipped with Nosferatu (which you should end the turn with), Ruin, and Mire to make the map much easier than it should be.
First the Beach DLC (Tharja!), then we can have the Hot Spring DLC.
Oh they kept the slogan. In France they didn't dare to use and translate it :lol:
I don't imagine they'll be going out of order with the DLC in respect to their own series. I can see this happening, based on how they've been handling DLC releases up to this point:
4/18: Five-Anna Firefight
4/25: Roster Rescue, Harvest of Bonds
5/2: Summer of Bonds
5/9: Secret Spa of Bonds, Future of Despair 1
5/16: Future of Despair 2
5/23: Future of Despair 3, The Strongest One's Name
Again, just my own personal prediction.
4/18: Five-Anna Firefight
4/25: Roster Rescue, Harvest of Bonds
5/2: Summer of Bonds

I strongly recommend hard/casual. It's not worth the extra aggravation of restarting a mission every time someone dies.
I think NoA is already begging NCL to make new DLC given how successful the ones released until now were.
Just got a call from my local GameStop. My copy is ready for pickup tomorrow. Yay. Tomorrow it's Fire Emblem time. Good times, good times.
So, to get the free Champions of Yore 1, I have to get to a certain point in the game, right? I can't just open the eStore and buy the DLC, it has to be done from the game itself?

I just want to share this here, because I'm sad.
I was playing on my FE LE 3DS last night, and closed the cover to marvel at the design.
When I noticed two cracks under the top layer of plastic.
One on either side. I couldn't figure how the hell it happened, because I'm especially careful with my handhelds.
And then I realized it was because of my Waterfield Designs case (which is wonderful, and I've had it since my DS Lite, no problems) but the snap closures, when snapped closed, must have put to much pressure on the 3DS cover.

Someone please tell me that Chapter 5 (Hard, Classic) is supposed to be one of those difficulty spike chapters and it wasn't just me getting owned.
After many retries trying to be mr hero and save everyone I eventually beat it yet I had to sacrifice Virion which leaves me sour as I liked his style and now i'm left without users of axes and bows, hope some replacements turn up soon, especially for the axe user position.
That chapter wasn't good for my health.

Yes, you must do it from within the game. You gain access to an area called the Outrealm Gate once you complete Chapter 4, which is where you would purchase the DLC.
I felt the same way when I played Chapter 5. This is also my first Fire Emblem, so wasn't exactly in tune with all of its subtleties from the beginning.
I didn't end up doing this, but here's a tip for future reference:

That's still very early in the game. If you want to switch to Casual, it'd be best to do so right away.

Speaking of, did anyone get the Fire Emblem 3DS XL? I'm interested in seeing non-stock pictures of it.

I actually had the staff on hand but I didn't remember its range being so limited, it couldn't have saved old Ruffles in this case though.

Yeah, early game in hard, 2 and 5 are imo the most difficult chapters.

...Question, does it take away the wind weakness too or does that stay? Because I'm sure wind magic is kinda more common than arrows anyways.

Both are negated.

Yeah, nullifies that too. The thing is, all flying units also have a weakness to another thing, like Pegasi have Beast weakness and Dragons have Dragon weakness, so keep that in mind when deploying them, even with Iote's Shield.
Edit: New DLC for NA up!
The Bonus Teams via SpotPass, or the DLC maps. You can also fight the random Risen that pop up on the world map from time the time, which can also be summoned with a Reeking Box.
Also, this week's DLC in America is Five-Anna Firefight.
