Could it be that, finally, someone is making a 3D platformer with the camera system I've always considered superior for the genre? It has happened before this gen though it's rare, Klonoa 2 being a grand example.
What I'm talking about is fixed camera angles, where the game is played like a 2D platformer (up, down, left and right) while environments are all 3D. Well, 2D or 2,5D gameplay (with certain freedom to run "into" the background). I wonder if this is what Nintendo is aiming for...if it is, consider me interested x 10.
I think it's an excellent way to make something more of a "classic" platformer (without the free-roaming, adventure exploration parts) while staying up-to-date with technology by using 3D graphics. Hell, with fixed camera angles the graphics could become even better.
