no, that's Jai Courtney.

But the robot can emote better than Jai Courtney.

there were red flags since jump, the talk about body horror, and a found footage like quality.

that and the cast was the only good thing this movie had going for it actually.

throwing some body horror in would have been amazing. especially since you got a guy with fucking rock skin and a dude who can stretch.

Everyone just go see The Gift this weekend.

i was surprised joel edgerton wrote/directed this because the trailers made it look so crap but the reviews make it sound really interesting.

Where does one find this version for viewing?

I honestly don't remember :(

RedLetterMedia actually found a copy and watched it as part of their Best of the Worst series. They said it didn't deserve the reputation it got and wasn't really that bad for the budget it was made on.

It didn't have to turn out a bit shit thought did it.

Consider this. There a dozens (meme joke) of highly intelligent people working on this project. Surely they could have come up with something better.

None in any position of authority. They're all either morons or don't give a fuck. Either way, it's garbage in, garbage out.

Fuck this guy Kinberg too. He should be fired from Star Wars as well as Trank.

I saw it today. What a horrible piece of utter garbage. Now there's at least three totally horrendous movies this year: Mortdecai, Pixels and now Fantastic Four.

Short summary. I wrote a long non-English review elsewhere.

The CG is horrible and boring. Even though the cast is somewhat great, they're really lost as Trank doesn't seem to know how to direct them in front of the green screen. The script is absolute mess and not to mention the chemistry between the cast. Trank doesn't show how the heroes grow into what they are. There's no drama, not even between Reed, Sue and Victor. There are absolutely no feelings or anything humane in this movie. It's hollow, empty. Basically Fox just made sure they still own the rights for next movie (and that sucks!).

It's beyond awful. Even Daredevil is better.

Can you discribe Doom's motivation and who he is?

Sure there are highly intelligent people but when the guy in charge signing the pay cheque says 'we need it this way' he gets his way.

Motivation? Huh. There's one scene of
jealousy between him and Reed, which is soon forgotten
. Also Victor
has been a bad boy and was kicked from the original Baxter project. He's living like a stereotypical nerd in his dudebro cave playing what looked like Watch Dogs.
The key scene is when
they travel to the zero zone/planet, he gets dropped to the "intelligent" goo and is left behind. It takes a year to get back and obviously the guy is a bit mad and wants to revenge.
He's basically a spoiled nerdy teen who hates everything.

Damn

One last thing, is it true that
they originally go to the place because they got drunk?

Good God Almighty, that sounds horrific.

Unfortunately it's true. Reed calls his main man Ben to join their drunken endeavour, because "you gotta be here". Then Ben goes through all possible security checks etc. 'cause drunken Reed says "he's with me". So he gets into the multibillion lab without any trouble at all. Makes sense?

My heart.....wow

I feel so betrayed. Josh Trank was all were trying to make a good movie, wasting type on refuting the black johnny storm stuff, and we get this.

I would love to see a dark fantastic four movie. Or a Spider-Man movie.

Well, literally everyone knew the movie would flop critically. I really hoped that it wouldn't, but here we are.

Honestly the biggest problem with these movies is that it's just hard to cram a 4 person dynamic with each having their proper development, a villain, and carry the plot. That's why I think the Avengers was really successful, all the team members already had their development in their own movies, so we didn't need to fit that aspect in. And X-Men: First Class got around it by focusing on Magneto and Xavier with the team arguably being secondary. It's kind of unfortunate that Fantastic 4 can't have this application in a movie, but who knows, maybe one day. It'd probably work better in a show format.
