Seems like there's a lot of weight loss contest threads on GAF. What if someone made a weight gain thread? Would anyone even be a part of it?

Have taken zma pills for the last few nights before bed. Don't really care if it's a placebo at times, has helped me get really deep and meaningful sleep.
Getting my T levels checked at a TRT clinic next week. I've been feeling like crap. Tired but can't sleep, no energy, cant concentrate, no sex drive, dick failed during random hookup last week (stop laughing). Just sucks lately. Plus I'm 37 and done with kids so whatever. If my levels are in the 300s or lower I'm gonna do it.
Of course it could be something else but we shall see.
Anyone ever bought protein, etc. from TrueNutrition.com?
It looks really promising and I think I'm going to try it out the next time I need to restock, but was hoping someone had first-hand experience with it so I can find out what flavors aren't ass, etc.
Their base prices look good, but I can only assume I'm going to have to pay a lot more for shipping than I currently am through Amazon Prime.
Eh, let's just assume FallingEdge and/or DarthWufei won.
I buy the True Nutrition recession blend in 50lb increments. Flavorless, but great quality at a great price. I drop around $250 for it shipped with a coupon code, and it lasts me like a year or more. Just keep in a cool dry place and you're good. Great bargain.
Can't speak to the flavored stuff. I don't bother.
Do you guys get chest pains (like you feel your ribs stretching) after doing a set of chest dips?
Thanks - looks like they put coupons out often, too.

Last year they did free shipping around Xmas, if you can catch that, it'd be even more amazing. Unfortunately I'm sitting on about 35lbs. Lol

Are you getting the crazy dreams some people report?
I picked some up pretty much entirely for the sleep benefits, but was hoping for the crazy dreams. Sadly, didn't get any. :\
I'm not even sure how that would feel. Were you also the one who felt his wrist bones separating when doing bb rows?Do you guys get chest pains (like you feel your ribs stretching) after doing a set of chest dips?
What are some beginner ab workouts I can do?
I figure this is the place to ask about this but please forgive me if it's not appropriate.
I've been trying to put on weight for a while now and I keep slipping up and going back into my old ways and losing everything I've gained and losing my motivation to keep going.
I usually hover between 9/10st and I've never been heavier than 10.5st. I know I don't eat enough to gain any weight but I'm struggling in trying to actually eat more. I haven't had breakfast in a long time and usually go about my daily business, come home and eat a meal, chill and have a bite of supper before bed. I know that's not a great system but when I wake up in the morning I'm just not hungry. I smoke for a start and so with a few coffees and a few cigs in me, my appetite is practically non-existent until well into the day.
In terms of exercise, I've fallen off completely. I used to work out using some basic equipment at home (mainly bodyweight exercises and some shitty dumbbells) but as time has gone on and my confidence and motivation have drained, I've basically stopped.
I'm just struggling to keep any form of structure in my routine in terms of eating and exercise. I'm guessing the appetite will come the more exercise I do but it's the first few weeks that gets me. What should I be doing to get me back on a more positive track? Life's been pretty shitty lately which has no doubt had its effects but I don't want to be this skinny little motherfucker for the rest of my goddamn life. It actually pisses me off when I see my hands typing this and they look more like my 96 year old grandad's than a 22 year olds.
EDIT:
I'd definitely give it a go. It would be an idea for me to start weighing myself more regularly and having actual goals to achieve in order to muster up some motivation because not having a game plan at all clearly isn't working. Are there any apps/sites anyone knows of that track this sort of stuff that are quick and easy to update?

You could stop smoking and drinking a ton of coffee. Those two suppress your appetite pretty well..
And if you want to gain weight in a healthy manner (more muscle vs fat), going to a gym would be a good idea too.
I'm not sure if this is the same thing but I have pain in my sternum area. Sometimes I can feel it even when I do nothing but mostly it hurts even if I just press my sternum lightly with my fingers. But it only hurts when I'm more in a hunched position and if I'm pulling my shoulders back (better posture) I don't feel it even when applying pressure to the area. I also feel it after doing dips but not after benching. Not sure what it is but it's been bothering me for a few months now. Could be a muscle imbalance thing but I really don't know.
And the problem/pain doesn't seem to be in a muscle. It's more like in the sternum bone in the middle of my chest..
I'm a fan of raw eggs. Egg producers in the United States regularly test for salmonella as of a few years ago, and I'm more than willing to take the risk of contracting it at the 1 in 30,000 Vegas odds. I'm probably more likely to injure myself squatting this year.
Of course, consume raw eggs at your own risk. There's nothing out there that I'm aware of stating that they are healthier than cooked eggs, and the main advantage over cooked eggs is simply saving time from not cooking them. Even overeasy eggs are only partially cooked and still run a risk of spreading salmonella. And I'm sure as hell not giving those up.
I forget why but I'm quite positive something in egg whites, if eaten raw, will make you sick and not due to salmonella.
It's the reason most people are taught only egg yolks can be eaten raw.
Speaking of egg whites...
Has anyone found a way to get them cheaper than, like, just buying eggs? Does CostCo or Sam's or anyone sell pure egg whites in large enough quantities that it's cheaper than buying eggs?
Seems wasteful to throw away so many yolks, not to mention it's a bit of a hassle.
Why would you throw away the yolks?
They're not on my diet.
I eat 6+ eggs a day, so I don't need all that extra fat. Even when I'm on a bulking diet, I only have two yolks a day.
Damn son, fat doesn't make you fat. *sigh*
Did he say that?
No, he said he doesn't need all the extra fat, which could mean he is already hitting his macros with only 2 egg yolks.
People and their dumb assumptions.
Man, thank you.
My trainer gives me my diets, I follow them, and they work. But they're not always easy or the most practical to follow.
I wasn't really looking for a critique of my egg consumption habits, but some info on how to possibly make following the diets easier.
I eat ton of eggs. Sometimes 12 a day. When I'm lazy I just eat the boiled pre-peeled ones from Costco. They are cheap and last a couple months.
I eat the whole things though.

Yeah, I eat between 12 and 18 eggs a day. It's quite a drag sometimes. Boiled, pre-peeled eggs that one can buy sounds awesome; never seen them for sale around here though.
Also, today was a glorious day for yoga pants.
Damn I've never had 18 before lol
I've gone back to closer stance squats. Lost some strength but they feel way better than the wide stance PL type squats I was doing.

Damn. Some of the symptoms you described earlier are high cholesterol symptoms, let us know what it is. Be safe man.I eat ton of eggs. Sometimes 12 a day. When I'm lazy I just eat the boiled pre-peeled ones from Costco. They are cheap and last a couple months.

I've bought them in bulk at BJ's and gotten the price to be the same for the same amount of egg white, but I haven't managed to make it cheaper than just buying eggs. I'll just buy the whites if I am cutting for convenience, but I do wish they came in real bulk.
Same price is acceptable, except I don't know what BJ's is.
It's probably hard not to pay a convenience tax on this, even though my understanding is that the food industry mostly throws away the egg whites because they need the yolk more.

Squats In Yoga Pants
I train at a university gym. January will be beautiful.
Screw you guys, my gym is full of old people
I recently graduated, so that's a thing of the past for me. Enjoy it while it lasts.
susprised I haven't seen Frank Yang do a workout in yoga pants yet. Then again he did do cartwheels down a beach boardwalk with a skintight pink cutoff tanktop that had "I love black cocks" on it so maybe yoga pants are too tame.
Heh, I work there.
Unless I get fired for ogling. I try to be discreet but...dayum.
I keep getting older but they just keep getting replaced by the newer models.
It's funny to see the clearly clueless (or they just don't care) dudes staring holes into these chicks though. It's no wonder most gyms have a "women's" area.
