if you are sore on your upper body should you still do your lower body or wait till your upper body is healed?

About to throw my scale out.
lol do you breathe during your reps?
Okay I don't need to be that strong. LOL
The sore part is the best part! Last night I could literally feel the fat burning off my gut. It might've been my belly saying "cottage cheese? fuck you, dude," but I'm pretty sure I could feel my whole body toning up.
The sorest part for me has always been my quads and knees. I can barely climb stairs the day after squats.

No, I was joking. I'm just trying to fit in.

This might be the dumbest shit I have ever read in one of these threads.
I truly hope so.
Sometimes I don't understand how people can come into a community and declare it closed off and unwelcoming, and other times I can. It was a joke people.

Hate to break it to you, but 330x5 isn't that strong on the squat. It's achievable within a year, maybe less depending on the person. Good luck with your diet though.
I got a laugh out of it.
More squats!

Fitness iz serious bisnezz
Speaking of which...
Had my first evening workout in like a year since I go in the mornings but I had a dentist appt yesterday morning. SOOOOOO many more beautiful girls at night....and unfortunately with that, so many more brodudes.
dudebro, really? You're in a thread about lifting weights. You may want to look in the mirror because you may eventually look like some of those dudebros.
You can lift weights and get muscular and not act like a total jackass. There were some jackasses at my gym...want an example? Dumb fuck puts 135 pounds on each side of a 45 lb straight bar in the squat rack. When he's done squatting he pulls all 3 45 pound weights off of one side at the same time.
Guess what happened?

that's more of a moron than anything else.
When I hear people bandy around the term "dudebro" I think that the person using the term must hate sports or sports games, doesn't like beer, and feels like they are under threat by those who do.
Thanks guys, we're cool.
Two other things for the experts:
1. I love my whey/skim shakes with a banana on the side, but would like to switch it up once in a while with a good protein bar. I used to have this amazing chocolate/icing thing (30G protein) but I'm pretty sure it was really fuckin carby (41G) and high on the fat (12G):
Any recs? Is that kinda bar better before or after a workout? If I'm trying to lean up would that bar over a whey shake be a bad choice? I'm just trying very hard to have a super-clean diet because I'm decently close to my goal already, and because I can adjust my diet pretty easily because I still have decent metabolism, considering.

If you're trying to remain clean, none of those processed protein bars are really going to be a good fit. They are candy bars.
There's a decent protein bar recipe a ways back in this thread, but I don't have it handy. Was basically oatmeal, whey powder, peanut butter, condensed milk, etc. I'm leaving for work so I can't track it down at the moment, but I'm sure someone else will.
White suburban males, usually 16-25 years of age, hailing from anywhere, USA. Characterized by their love of College football, pickup trucks/SUVs, beer, cut off khaki cargo shorts, light pink polo brand shirts (with collar "popped"), abercrombie & fitch, hollister gear, and trucker hats. Favorite bands include, but are not limited to, O.A.R., Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews Band, Avengened Sevenfold, The Fray, and often crappy radio rap (i.e. Nelly, Dem Franchize Boyz, D4L, etc.). Dude bro's are incredibly insecure in their manhood, which makes them: insanely jealous of their girl friends, overly macho, and laughably homophobic. currently, there is no cure for being a dude bro.
6 out of 10 guys at any predominantly white mall in america.
a "dude" can be positive,
a "bro" can also be positive,
but a "dude bro" is never a good thing.
Here's the recipe that Petrie is probably referring to: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?p=32022443&highlight=wife+protein#post32022443No, don't. That's exactly what I suspected and I'll just avoid them altogether. Man, that one tastes so fucking good.

Here are the guys I was training with a couple days ago.
They showed me this crazy three-round upper-body strength routine that they do: 10 muscle-ups, 20 box squat jumps, 30 pull-ups, 50 dips, and 50 push-ups.
I definitely slowed them down, taking multiple sets to complete all of those exercises but the squats.
Damn I'm almost exactly in the same boat, 142 lb, 6'0Sorry saw this late, I'm currently at 147 lb, 5'11".
These guys like Creed?

haha, I guess.
They're all really cool. Wish I had started doing calisthenics with them instead of slowly teaching myself for a year, but hey, it's all good. Let's see what training with them every week this summer will do for me.
Holy shit. It looks like they are doing muscle ups from a complete hang at the bottom and just knocking them out like nothing.
I wish I can get to that level in another year.
Also, what's the frequency of their workouts? I've heard that they train everyday. But to go that hard everyday doesn't sound very safe to me.
1. Plain oatmeal freaking sucks. Judging from the rest of the diet, anything I can add to it to make it taste better? I saw raisins might be good, but aren't they really carby?
Hi Gaf, what's your take on intermittent fasting? Is it better than low carb diet or it's just a trend?
This is the one, and because you control the ingredients, you know what you're putting in, and it's a decent after gym substitute. Good stuff.
Is there any way to prevent callus formation due to dead lifting?
