Chocolate protein powder in water.
I need to get myself some unflavoured whey protein.
Unflavored in water is the worst. You'd think it'd just taste like water: you'd be wrong.

hehe, you guys don't have that in the US?
the german "Eiweiss Brot" is literally "Protein Bread"
it isn't a marvel by any means but compared to other kinds of bread it contains more protein per slice, if I remember correctly, about 14 gr each, compared to 2 or 3 grams in other types of bread I've seen in the stores.
tastes bad on its own but eat it with a pumpkin soup and it's godly.
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00457DDL2/?tag=neogaf0e-20We don't have anything like that, that I know of. Closest we have is Ezekiel Bread and even it is only 4 grams of protein per slice. It does have more dietary fiber than most breads though and is all organic blah blah blah.
Yeah, I would love to be able to get proteins that easily in the morning.
It's not every morning you have time to properly cook things, and with this I could just grab two slices and spread on a rich amount of cream cheese for upwards to 50g of proteins.
Shame

Whey protein is food.

They sell this stuff in Syracuse, they're actually a big sponsor of our hockey team. I'd forgotten, need to pick some up.
Let's talk negative reps. Do you guys feel that they are necessary and efficient? More specifically, how often would you recommend doing negative rep sets on bench press?
Interesting, I've never seen that anywhere. Might be worth picking a couple loaves up and freezing like they mention. They say on their website that Whole Foods carries it, so that's worth a shot.
Had an upset fiancé today over her bloodwork.
Her HDL was excellent but her LDL was high. Her ratio was still excellent but she's worried about the LDL and is blamming eggs.
Tell her that eggs aren't necessarily the cause of her less-than-desirable blood cholesterol. I posted this almost a month ago:Her HDL was excellent but her LDL was high. Her ratio was still excellent but she's worried about the LDL and is blamming eggs.
Here's what daily fasting, 2-3 dozen eggs a week, 4-5 nights of red meat for dinner and copious quantities of whey protein does for my blood cholesterol:
Total Cholesterol: 154mg/dL
LDL: 96mg/dL
HDL: 51mg/dL
Triglycerides: 36mg/dL
LDL/HDL Ratio: 1.9

I usually do some variation of Cheat Mode:What kind of daily fasting do you do?
Pre workout meal at noon, usually a little larger than what he prescribes. Training at three.
It sounds like that bread is exactly the same as the german one I mentioned, same gr. and same extreme tendency to go bad within a couple of days if you don't keep it frozen.
they really mean it with the 5-7 days, leave it there laying around and prepare for a green mold festival.
I highly recommend it, I also think it's a cheaper alternative to protein shakes and besides, you'll be eating REAL food.little j/k hehe

Hey thread, how's everyone's training?

Stronger than ever dat dere TRT kicked in but I guess I'm not natural now even though it's not my fault LOL.
Why'd you do that

Can't someone have a genuine hormone deficiency?
For those saying that protein powder doesn't taste too great, what about putting it into a blender with some ice, milk and a banana?
- 5 ice cubes,
- 1 cup milk
- 1 banana
- 1-2 scoops protein powder (i use chocolate flavour)
It tastes freaking amazing.
Right, I would probably just use it in addition to my protein shakes. I already eat sandwiches often, if I could eat them and consume more protein and less carbs, that's even better.
yeah, protein shakes will still have to be there because you'll get sick of that bread sooner than later , I don't think anyone would want to rely on it to get the needed protein per day.

Which reminds me, I need to do some grip training.
Problem is, I dunno what I can do other than plate pinching.

I usually do some variation of Cheat Mode:
Pre workout meal at noon, usually a little larger than what he prescribes. Training at three.
On non-training days I simply fast for sixteen hours and treat it like a Leangains off day. If I break the fast at fourteen hours on control days I'm not concerned.

Deadlifts done. 385lbx9. Wanted 12 but my grip failed, as usual.
I'm going to aim for 2000 points on fitocracy!
Eh, don't let point goals on Fitocracy effect your training that way.

The points are messed up anyway. Overhead squat gets less points than regular squats, good mornings give you barely anything, etc.
Anyone ever had tendonitis? Got it bad on my right forearm according to my doctor (tennis elbow apparently). Are there any specific exercises that can help to alleviate it?
