hehe, you guys don't have that in the US?

the german "Eiweiss Brot" is literally "Protein Bread"

it isn't a marvel by any means but compared to other kinds of bread it contains more protein per slice, if I remember correctly, about 14 gr each, compared to 2 or 3 grams in other types of bread I've seen in the stores.

tastes bad on its own but eat it with a pumpkin soup and it's godly.

We don't have anything like that, that I know of. Closest we have is Ezekiel Bread and even it is only 4 grams of protein per slice. It does have more dietary fiber than most breads though and is all organic blah blah blah.

Yeah, I would love to be able to get proteins that easily in the morning.
It's not every morning you have time to properly cook things, and with this I could just grab two slices and spread on a rich amount of cream cheese for upwards to 50g of proteins.

Shame :(

Chocolate protein powder in water.
I need to get myself some unflavoured whey protein.

I did use chocolate. I'm not a fan of the flavour of the protein I'm using in the first place, I think I need to experiment and find one that's cheap and tastes good. I'm using this right now. Even added some sliced frozen strawberries to it, but that can only do so much to help the flavour when you're using 2 scoops of powder.

Had an upset fiancé today over her bloodwork.

Her HDL was excellent but her LDL was high. Her ratio was still excellent but she's worried about the LDL and is blamming eggs.

Let's talk negative reps. Do you guys feel that they are necessary and efficient? More specifically, how often would you recommend doing negative rep sets on bench press?

I only really use them on curls ,and I love them, basically an Arnold Cheat Curl..

Grab a heavy ez-bar swing the weight up and lower the weight as slowly as possible, the burn you get is insane and if you take a Pre workout your pump will be massive.

Interesting, I've never seen that anywhere. Might be worth picking a couple loaves up and freezing like they mention. They say on their website that Whole Foods carries it, so that's worth a shot.

It sounds like that bread is exactly the same as the german one I mentioned, same gr. and same extreme tendency to go bad within a couple of days if you don't keep it frozen.

they really mean it with the 5-7 days, leave it there laying around and prepare for a green mold festival.

I highly recommend it, I also think it's a cheaper alternative to protein shakes and besides, you'll be eating REAL food.
little j/k hehe

AFAIK it's carbs that raise your LDL.

I'm also interested in getting some bloodwork done but it's 40€. Probably going to wait a few more months since I've only been eating paleo for 4-5 weeks now.

Tell her that eggs aren't necessarily the cause of her less-than-desirable blood cholesterol. I posted this almost a month ago:

Here's what daily fasting, 2-3 dozen eggs a week, 4-5 nights of red meat for dinner and copious quantities of whey protein does for my blood cholesterol:

Total Cholesterol: 154mg/dL
LDL: 96mg/dL
HDL: 51mg/dL
Triglycerides: 36mg/dL
LDL/HDL Ratio: 1.9

What kind of daily fasting do you do?
I usually do some variation of Cheat Mode:

Pre workout meal at noon, usually a little larger than what he prescribes. Training at three.

On non-training days I simply fast for sixteen hours and treat it like a Leangains off day. If I break the fast at fourteen hours on control days I'm not concerned.

Right, I would probably just use it in addition to my protein shakes. I already eat sandwiches often, if I could eat them and consume more protein and less carbs, that's even better.

Unflavored in water is the worst. You'd think it'd just taste like water: you'd be wrong.

Believe it or not, this plain whey:http://theorganicwhey.com/ tasted delicious in just water; although it is expensive. Sometimes' when it didn't mix it would form these little clumps after absorbing the water that would nice and sweet almost like astronaut ice cream. The guy you're quoting should try it, it was very good.

Why'd you do that

My total testosterone was less than 300 and efforts to kick start it with HCG didn't work so after several months of going through this I got prescribed Testosterone Cypionate, HCG, and Anastrazole.

I felt like I was going to die sometimes, no energy, always tired but couldn't sleep, couldn't focus on anything. Never did have ED problems though. Anyway I feel like a different person now. feel like I'm 18 but I'm almost 40.

I'm dying not being in the gym during my two week rest. All this time with nothing to do, I'm unemployed as well. I'm so depressed GAF, but I persevere.

For those saying that protein powder doesn't taste too great, what about putting it into a blender with some ice, milk and a banana?
- 5 ice cubes,
- 1 cup milk
- 1 banana
- 1-2 scoops protein powder (i use chocolate flavour)

It tastes freaking amazing.

If I have dat dere muscle milk I usually blend it with a liter of whole milk, bananas, peanut butter and vanilla ice cream.

Now that's bulking with style. Just don't fart: you can render any room uninhabitable within seconds.

yeah, protein shakes will still have to be there because you'll get sick of that bread sooner than later :p, I don't think anyone would want to rely on it to get the needed protein per day.

Plus does it have a full profile of amino acids or at least Leucine? It might, I just don't know. If not, I wouldn't even count it towards my protein.

Yep, that's my exact routine, though I'll use two cups milk. When bulking, grab some Hershey's syrup and get a serving in there for a richer chocolate flavor (milk + banana waters it down). Actually tastes good.

I've never had the balls to go the ice cream route tho. Fearful of becoming a lard ass.

On Muscle Milk... never order German Chocolate Cake. I can't get two sips down without sprinting for a toilet.

Blackflag, I hope you have enough testosterone for the rest of the thread!

The points are messed up anyway. Overhead squat gets less points than regular squats, good mornings give you barely anything, etc.

Eh, I think that makes sense. It treats full body compound lifts as worth the most, and treats isolated lifts like good morning as less. It's far from perfect though.

Just a fun tool really though, with glitches like any MMO would have, that you can exploit if you like. Lol

Anyone ever had tendonitis? Got it bad on my right forearm according to my doctor (tennis elbow apparently). Are there any specific exercises that can help to alleviate it?

I'm currently recovering from golfers elbow. When I had tennis elbow, I stayed away from heavy preacher curls and skull crushers.
